In Old Testament in the bible, the people were waiting for the Messiah, (Jesus).  The people were expected the Messiah to arrive as a strong King. Instead Jesus, the King arrived as a baby and was born in a manger.  Have your expectations every been interrupted? Did your expectations in the past, fall apart? How about now? Are your expectations falling apart? A few of my thoughts from my podcast.

Recently I dived into Romans Chapter 6 in the bible. The book of Romans 6 is definitely a hard hitting chapter for a morning study. 

The verse that stood out to me during my reading was, chapter 6 verse 14. For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under race.

Although this verse does not extend permission to us to sin, it removes the long list of, "do not do that! You will lose your salvation!

We are saved by grace, not by the law. The law shows us we are sinners and in need of a savior, not we must become perfect and then Jesus will accept us!

Leading a ministry focusing on Relationships is not easy! The expectations of other can be brutal! 

The expectation of perfectionism in relationships is non existent. Yet, occasionally someone will expect me to fix their relationships. Or point out, "Nancy you should be perfect in relationships, but you are not!" "How can you lead a ministry for leaders, as a learning community and focus on relationships?"

Grab on to- Matthew 11:28-30, Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

This week we talk about displaced anger in our relationships, and being willing to apologize.
