Reluctantly Supernatural

This podcast is a little different. Most of the time we center on what our guest has to say. In this podcast, a spontaneous discussion occurred among Adam, Mark, and Bob. We discussed the priesthood of all believers and the importance of all followers of Christ to move in the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit. We discussed the necessity of keeping our prayers for healing centered in our relationship with God. We also discussed a broader definition of the goodness of God beyond answered prayers for supernatural intervention.

In many of our interviews, we have discussed different manifestations of the supernatural, but we are happy that this session continues to explore one of the less glamorous gifts of the Holy Spirit. The gift of tongues is the most controversial gift of the Holy Spirit. In this podcast, Adam Moser helps us to shed the unnecessary baggage that has been loaded onto the gift of tongues. As well, Adam will be discussing the gift of physical healing in a way that makes it accessible to all of us. You won’t want to miss it.

So far on the reluctantly supernatural podcast, we have heard from mostly “professional” clergy. We think it’s time to hear from someone who didn’t come through the “professional” route. Adam Moser started his ministry as an auto mechanic. He now operates in the spiritual gifts of power. This interview opens with his earliest experience of the gift of healing. At the age of two and a half years old, he fell into a well where he drowned. The story of his perfect recovery is a testament to the faith of his grandmother and the prayers of other Christians. We follow his journey into the supernatural dimension of our Christian faith, coming along for the ride.

In this interview, Georgian Banov describes the trials he and his wife faced in their marriage. God restored their marriage in a most unusual, supernatural, and unreligious way. In this second segment of our interview with Georgian Banov, he takes us into the most intense experience of God in his entire life. He literally had to beg Got to stop the intensity of His power and love. Why does God do things like this for some people and not for others? How was Georgian transformed by this experience? In this podcast Francis Anfuso describes the process of imparting supernatural ministry to our children and grandchildren. He describes demonstrating the supernatural to children and then creating opportunities for them to try it. It is much like a mother bird teaching her babies to fly. He deals with the role that risk plays in prophetic ministry. The question is, do I care more to obey the Holy Spirit than to protect my self image? He deals with the question of pride. These are lessons for all of us.

In this podcast Francis Anfuso answers the question, how does the Holy Spirit influence our process of reasoning and rational thought. He speaks of the practice of waiting for clarity. He counsels us to accept “nothing” until God does something. He tells us that in the realm of hearing God’s voice, “doing nothing is something.” In the Bible we see that prophetic people were comfortable waiting for God to speak. Is this a necessary practice? Is this pursuit of stillness relevant today? In this session, Francis answers these questions.

Oftentimes, we confuse Old Testament Prophetic ministry with New Testament Prophetic ministry. We wrongly believe that New Testament prophetic ministry has to be 100% accurate.

As we point out in our book Reluctantly Supernatural, this confusion is not biblical.

Today, we prophecy “in part”. We are not always accurate in our hearing of God’s “voice”. This is by God’s design.

How did he learn to hear God’s “voice”?

His story is full of wisdom that you can apply to your life. If you are like most Christians you suffer from the belief that you have to be special or highly qualified in order to be powerfully used by God.

When we read the Bible we find out that God uses ordinary, untrained “baby” Christians to do His work. He uses the foolish things to confound the wise. Francis’ story is the story of God using someone who most of us would reject out of hand. We often look for someone who is “ready, able, and willing”.

God often looks for someone who is simply willing.

Nothing in Francis’ past made him either ready or able to enter into a supernatural ministry, but he was willing. Join us to be encouraged to believe that God will take care of the “ready and able” part if we are willing to be willing.
