Based on popular culture, when people tell their stories, the most common thing you would notice is that the storyteller is most likely a victim or the hero.  Not so many really tell the story of them being a villain. Have you thought about situations where you were “the villain” in someone else story? We are not without flaws and we may find ourselves hurting others or disappointing others who trusted us at some point in time. 

In this episode, Abraham shares some thoughts about villain archetypes and how growing in this awareness can empower you to improve your interpersonal relationships.

Have you ever had seasons in your life where you have all the bare minimum needed to pursue your goals and optimize your productivity, but the only thing not cooperating is your mind? I call it personal downtimes.

I am joined by Toby Donut, as she talks about her experience with personal downtime these past months, and how she found her rhythm again. This is a followup to my previous episodes - it will definitely help you develop more resilience as a young leader.

Ten years ago when I naively began journeying on this path of leadership, moving from a spectator and “victim” to a young boy making bold steps to be responsible for his future, it was simple. I was just exploring and following my inner nudging. There was no pressure whatsoever.

Then came a moment where the success and recognition, came with subtle pressure to perform. External pressure (that came from genuine praise and admiration), became internal thoughts and guide. The idea that “I can’t fall short” became the standard, instead of that sweet, innocent, meek spirit that just longed to BE.

In this episode, Abraham shares some key thoughts around dealing with expectations and pressures as a young leader.

This is a call for you to make things simple again. To reclaim your power back and just BE who God wants you to be, and not living life to meet up with the fast-paced rhythm of this age. When the core of your being is rightly aligned, then longevity in leading meaningful change becomes much more natural. Rest is a choice.

What does it feel like growing up as an African Child? The spontaneous spanks from mama; the aggressive pleading of the blood of Jesus, the comparative analysis with other children; understanding the value of honour and respect; the tenacity and resilience learnt through family values; and so on. It’s a blend of many experiences that brings mixed feelings.
