Oscar starred... but Lando won. McLaren flogs the Clog.
The Miami F1 Grand Prix finally turned it on, and for the first time this year Max Verstappen was beaten on the track. McLaren launched the attack, first with Oscar Piastri and then by Lando Norris who had a bit more luck with the Safety Cars. He pulled away for a maiden win.
We have plenty of F1 talk and a little bit of Supercars, F4 and New Zealand.

Senna: 30 Years On and Plenty of Supercars News
It is 30 years since Ayrton Senna died at Imola, and our crew goes behind the scenes with untold stories. Plus, where will Adrian Newey go, and is he worth EURO150 a year?
Then, in Supercars, where will they go and will they go often enough in 2025 - inside the calendar with details that only we are talking about. And the Erebus sales rumours won't go away, but did we miss the clues last year? And what about a Peterwit - can he find the money to make an offer?
Plus, NASCAR, IndyCar, WEC, IMSA and Motorsport Australia dump $1m.
This is the Auto Action RevLimiter.
Stunning Taupo Shines Through the Gloom | Supercars back in New Zealand
We're back from our weekend in Taupo (Tow Paw), and what an unbelievable first weekend for that venue. It was, we felt, the start of this season, too, despite it being the third round. Andrew and Bruce were there, and PG was on the couch.
Brodie Kostecki was back for Erebus, Andre Heimgartner won for Brad Jones Racing, and Will Brown battled his teammate Broc Feeney for the other win. Anton De Pasquale also won the Jason Richards Trophy for the best performer over the two races - is Dick Johnson Racing back?
There was some F1 and NASCAR, but we wanted to talk about Taupo.
We're going to Taupo... Tow Paw... Whatever. Supercars is back!
After a break that feels like months, the Supercars Championship is back and headed across the ditch to Taupo in the middle of the North Island. And yes, Brodie Kostecki will be there! As will the rain.
Somehow, the rain will also be in China for F1's return to 中国. Philip Island was stunning on the weekend, just gone, if a little cold, but we chatted about whether Supercars should return to the land of penguins.
Plus, there's more... all the news in the way only the Auto Action RevLimiter can deliver.
#Supercars #F1 #GT3 #Taupo #NZ #ChinaGP
Brodie Kostecki is back! Vale Bev Brock
Brodie Kostecki is back! The 2023 Champion has cured his ills with Erebus Motorsport and will be back in the Supercars Championship for Taupo next week. Our fearless crew gets deep into the mire and steps around the Peterwits to discuss what it means for the sport and what it has meant.
We chat about the passing of Bev Brock, an icon of the Australian motorsport scene whose loss will be felt by many. Then we talk about the return of boredom to F1 and refuse to talk about the team that won. It's childish, but at least we’re not nasty.
All this and the latest news in this edition of The Auto Action RevLimiter.
Follow the Easter Trail and more here on the Auto Action Rev Limiter
This week we had to work hard for Supercar News, but we found some. It was easier in Speedway with the Easter Trail and the new speedway opening at Eastern Creek. Liberty Media has bought MotoGP, there was the Bathurst 6-Hour, the World Rally Championship in Kenya and, of course, a NASCAR wrap-up with drivers throwing broken bumpers at rivals. We talk about why Formula E is boring and irrelevant, and then ramble our way through the latest F1 news... where should Carlos Sainz go?
Don't forget to jump onto the Auto Action website to sign-up for the free digital copy of the magazine, and hard copy is out tomorrow.
The Aussie GP review here on the Auto Action Rev Limiter
The Auto Action Rev Limiter debriefs the Australian Grand Prix, Andrew and Bruce from trackside and PG from the couch... and all three were excited that Max Verstappen didn't win and that Carlos Sainz. Oscar Piastri nearly pulled off a podium and he clearly won the merchandise sales battle with everyone else.
The Supercars raced without pitstops and it was good. Will Brown won the weekend and the Mustangs found new ways to hit each other. There's more too... Shane van Gisbergen and NASCAR, MotoGP and a million dollars IndyCar race without points.
And what is it with Track Limits, why has NASCAR joined the slippery slope into absurdity? It was the last bastion for motorsport, now it is just another class making a mockery of itself. If you want track limits, give them consequences not time penalties. And the Supercars App and Website still suck.
It Aussie GP week right here on the Auto Action Rev Limiter
It is Australian Grand Prix, and our fearless trio put it all the line trying to work out if Oscar Piastri can beat Max, and what will the Supercars do without fans at the track on Thursday twilight or in the paddock. Plus we look at the Boardroom stoush at RACE, the owners of Supercars. Then there's Race Tasmania, the dummy spit, and the $10,000 prize to an Excel racer. And F1 on the streets of Adelaide.
Felipe tries to Fill Up here on the Auto Action Rev Limiter
F1 was another snoozefest, but everywhere else the action was hot. In stifling heat the Phillip Island Classic produced some of the most stunning old racers this country and New Zealand have to offer and the racing was good too, a lot of them now go to Adelaide this weekend. PG thought the NASCARs were racing in a car park they were using so much of the verge, and Filipe Massa has decided to spend a lot of money on lawyers to try and overturn the 2008 World Championship. And then we look at the Supercars at the Grand Prix and speculate on who might get their first win...All this and more.
Hats off to you. It's the Auto Action Rev Limiter
Hooray, F1 is back. Boo, Max Verstappen wins. The Bahrain Grand Prix was a little underwhelming, but at least there was racing... and scandal. There was plenty of scandel, but we don't do that stuff apparently, so we don't talk about Red Bull Racing, Christian Horner and noted female rights activist Jos Verstappen.
But we do talk Supercars, and there might not have been racing but there was plenty happening. The IndyCar Championship starts this weekend, and we look at whether Scott McLaughlin can win. We don't talk about hats either, because, frankly we don't care. It is not a big news item mate, get over it.
He's Back and It's Back. Bruce and Supercars return to the Auto Action Rev Limiter
Bruce is back this week after sitting on the bench with illness and a lack of fuel, and he joins Andrew and PG on the Auto Action Rev Limiter as they look at the latest in motorsport. Like a debrief of the first round of the Supercars Championship from Bathurst, plus we look at Super2 and wonder how six racing laps is worth 300 points, Touring Car Masters and the journey back to prominence, NASCAR, or more specifically Shane van Gisbergen, and a little motor racing series called Formula One.
Gentlemen Start your Engines - It's Supercar Season here on the Auto Action Rev Limiter
This is it folks, there 's no more posturing and no more of the who did what to whom talk, this weekend Supercars gets to fight fair in the opening round of the season at the Bathurst 500. Who can win, who will win, we dissect the season and tell you what we think.
Then we look at the Bathurst 12-Hour and tease a bumper Le Mans 24-Hour Race with talk of Hypercars and GT3 and we search for who will take us to the famous race. There's a bit of World Rally Championship and then all the latest news on Daytona and Shane van Gisbergen's Xfinity Series debut, and don't forget to check out the Chicago Street Race tour by Gilligan's Route 66 Tours - https://www.gilligansroute66.com/nascar-chicago-street-race-2024/.
And the latest edition of the magazine is out digitally tonight and in the stores tomorrow... check out the numbers behind the Auto Action Driver Ratings in Supercars, some of it will surprise you. But it is science!
It a 12 hour episode in 45 minutes, here on the Auto Action Rev Limiter
This week sees the triumphant return of the Auto Action Rev Limiter, but this week it is just Andrew and PG as Bruce battles the lurgy. Our dynamic duo tackle all sorts of topics from Brodie Kostecki to Christian Horner, black F1 cars and DanRic. And, of course, the Bathurst 12-Hour race, the Swedish Rally and the real start of the NASCAR season and the next adventure for Shane van Gisbergen.

The year that was 2023 on The Auto Action Rev Limiter
Bruce, PG and Andrew talk about their three motor racing highlights of the year, and to balance it out… The three lowlights as well, not lowlifes Bruce! There's a bit of Supercars chat with Jaxon Evans confirmed on the grid in the SCT Logistics Camaro, Ludo Lacroix has left the building at DJR and Dr Ryan is back and taking charge again, and we hear Ford is not ready to sign-off on the Gen3 aero package yet…. Maybe some more testing required! And there's GT3 coming out of our ears for the Bathurst 12-Hour and Le Mans 24 Hour Race. And that's it for the year...

It's that time of the year, but we're not looking back just yet. We look at 3 things we each think can help Supercars - tyres, racing formats, fuel, black and heroes are just some of them. And then we sit down with the father of S5000, Chris Lambden, who opens up on the Supercars licencing rules and the damage it is causing to Australian motorsport. The Champ is here, Hail King Brodie on the Auto Action Rev Limiter
The Vailo Adelaide 500 is one of Australia's great sporting events... and one-third of the crew was there. Matt Payne scored his first win, and Cam Waters laid down number 3 for the year as Brodie Kostecki took his first Supercars crown right off the head of the departing Shane van Gisbergen. But what really happened over there?
Our crew takes a look before we spend two minutes on Formula One. So if you like your #Supercars and the #ADL500, this is the only place you will get it, warts and all. Plus we talk Jack Doohan, F4 and Calder Park.

Why was there swearing on TV and was it justified? We also look at Doctor Feelgood's claim he has fixed parity, even though he got it wrong in the first place and clearly hasn't fixed anything. Steering racks remain an issue in Supercars, and Bruce reviews a book.
Then there's Formula 1 and Oscar Piastri has confirmed his star status as some bloke went on to win another race and a track that has issues with the modern F1 car.
