However, we can build self-discipline and leverage it to help us overcome the feelings in the moment. Our feelings and emotions are natural, but they don't always serve us well when it comes to becoming the best version of ourselves. Fearfully and Wonderfully Me Part 6: Self-Worth: I am "Me" first
This episode is the sixth episode in a series of episodes on my newest book, Fearfully and Wonderfully Me: Become the Woman You are Destined to Be. In this episode, I share the concept of creating your identity based on your values, rather than the "hats" you wear or the "roles" you have in your life. Because, the hats we wear in life (mother, manager at work, spouse, etc) aren't constant - they will change as the seasons of life change. And, when they do, it's critical for our sense of self-worth that we haven't built our entire identity around a role.

Fearfully and Wonderfully Me Part 5: Self-Worth: I Create my Identity
In this episode, I explore how self-worth (or lack of it) is heavily influenced by our identity. When we center that identity around the wrong things, we won't have a firm foundation for our self-worth. But, you can intentionally create your identity and that allows you to step fully into purpose.  This episode is the fifth episode in a series of episodes on my newest book, Fearfully and Wonderfully Me: Become the Woman You are Destined to Be.

Fearfully and Wonderfully Me Part 1: Self-Belief - I am Responsible
This episode is the first episode in a series of episodes on my newest book, Fearfully and Wonderfully Me: Become the Woman You are Destined to Be. I share the key concept of embracing responsibility, not for things that aren't our "fault" but for how we respond to those things, situations, and circumstances.  We'll be covering one chapter from the book on an episode over the next several weeks, specifically on the elements of personal growth and transformation. These seven elements empower you to create a mental strategy that will help you believe in yourself and your potential, embrace your self-worth, overcome limiting beliefs, increase your influence personally and professionally, achieve your goals and develop a mindset for success.

Yes to Life: In Spite of Everything
Viktor Frankl was a Holocaust survivor in WWII, losing his parents, brother, and his wife, who was pregnant with their child. After liberation, he wrote "Man's Search for Meaning," and went on to become a world famous psychologist. This episode is based on some of my notes and favorite quotes of his from a recent book, "Yes to Life: In Spite of Everything," released after Frankl's death and based on his lectures.

Becoming Better
In this episode, I speak to embracing the "human paradox" that we are created in the image of God, and yet we aren't perfect. Each one of us is created as a miracle - and although we make mistakes, it doesn't mean we ARE the mistake. There is nothing wrong with you however, "You don't have to be sick to get better," as Michael Josephson reminds us. And, the world needs YOU to step into your version of better! I also share how belief drives behavior - and behavior reinforces belief.

Motion vs Action: The Behavior Gap
This episode is inspired by a chapter I wrote in my soon to be released next book, Fearfully and Wonderfully Me, where I talk about the behavior gap, that is, the gap between our current state and our desired future state, and how behaviors help us cross that gap or not. It's critical to identify when we are simply in motion versus actually taking action because motion feels good but doesn't help us cross the behavior gap.

Developing Determination
Determination is the "trump card" when it comes to success in life. It's more important than talent, skill, or experience. It's more important than knowledge. Because determination is the grit and perseverance to keep going when it's not easy, or when you aren't going to reach a goal as quickly as you expected. In this episode, I share an example of how this came up for me recently. Confession: I'm not great at everything I do, but I'm determined not to quit and that makes up for a lot!
