Spooky Context

This episode discusses a personal experience at a historical Texas cemetery in 2004.  This story examines the demographics of small Texas towns during the pre and post-Civil War periods, and the growth associated with the railroad industry.  These discussions serve as a framework for further discussion regarding why a significant number of ghost towns exist in Texas and the paranormal phenomena related to them.

In this episode, we describe a notable story that appeared on Coast to Coast AM during Art Bell's 1999 Ghost to Ghost episode.  The Clarity story originates from Grapevine, Texas, and details a young man's tale of meeting a girl at a party, taking her home, and ending up in a cemetery in the middle of the night.  We continue our discussion of the social and historical context of the Resurrection Mary and phantom hitchhiker stories.
