The Riddles Podcast
By Waffles & The Riddle Kid
The Riddles Podcast is a break-sized podcast about riddles old and new, popular and darned near impossible to find anywhere. Please subscribe and tell your friends, especially if you got stumped! This will help me get new riddles out faster. Each podcast features the riddle, a pause, a hint and then a solution so there are no spoilers. Nice to meet you and if you’d like to leave any feedback please do so at anchor.fm/riddles. I’m working on getting the audio more consistent for the first episode and will be replacing it a bit at a time. If you’d like to be featured let me know!

Episode 4: Ol’ Timey Riddles with Waffles the Dog
For Episode 4 we found some much more easygoing and fun riddles than from Episode 3’s Guess Me, a book with riddles so arcane you need to live in a certain 100-meter neighbourhood to catch all the historical, educational and societal references. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but in Episode 4 Waffles steps up the plate/dog dish and plays funnydog to our host The Riddles Kid for over a dozen great riddles. Do you have your own great riddle or two you’d like to share? You can send us a message at anchor.fm/riddles. We’ll be glad to joke up your riddle with Waffles and mention you in the podcast. We would love some local flavor from wherever you are. If you have a moment and a few dollars / pounds / rupees / rubles / yen that are just begging you to clutter your home with cheap stuff you don’t need, why not support your favorite riddles podcast instead at anchor.fm/riddles/support? Our tiny team of podcasters would love to take this podcast to the next level and make it an enjoyable audio spot for people to hear riddles, share riddles, and buy Waffles T-shirts - WAFFLES!! 🐶 I’m sorry but you just go on and on and these nice people just need to press the play button to hear our show. It’s very nice to meet you. Woof 🐶

Episode 3 With Waffles The Dog
Oh my goodness! In this episode of The Riddles Podcast, Waffles the Dog and our host toss about several ridiculously obscure, locally tailored riddles from Guess Me, the 1879 riddles book we sampled in Episode Two. The last half takes an upturn with some rib-ticklers from the rest of the book. Many thanks to our listeners in the US, Canada, the Netherlands, Singapore and your country if you’re the first! “Or second. Third is nice too.” - Waffles If you like this podcast, please share it and subscribe! Also, if you like this riddle podcast, please support us at anchor.fm/riddles/support. Your support is appreciated in every way and donating will help us upgrade and put out more episodes. Thank you and we hope you enjoy the show!

We have the link to this eccentric charmer in the podcast. I hope you like this episode! Please visit anchor.fm/riddles/support if you’d like to support the podcast and I’d be happy* to give you a mention. *Assuming you’re a nice person not selling weapons grade plutonium for bitcoin, etc.

Episode 2 Teaser - Jot This Down!
Hello there! We’re putting the final touches on Episode 2. Have you ever heard of a numbered charade? You may have seen them around as a generic riddle. The riddle is made of one large word to guess along with smaller words that reuse the large word’s letters. For example, take the word STEAK. Its letters have numbers 1 through 5. 1 would be S, 2 would be T and so on. In addition to the actual riddle about steak, you might also get riddles about TEAK (for example, 2 3 4 5 is a rare wood) and SAKE (For heaven’s 2 4 5 3). If you can’t guess the main word outright, riddles about the smaller words can add to the fun. The source of this riddle is a SPRAWLING 1879 collection of all sorts of word games. Join our upcoming podcast (optionally at anchor.fm/riddles) and we’ll have the link for it. If you like you can write down the main word for this riddle ahead of time (123456789) as well as 123459, 867, 1678, 12679, and 93451.
