7 - Shut Up and Dribble

Sports are slowly making its way back, mindfully different because of covid. As the first games return athletes are talking about social issues, the NBA and WNBA particular are letting athletes write whatever they want on their jerseys.

Some people watch sports to unwind so it may be conflicting to see athletes bring up social issues but it’s not the first time athletes have done so, this is what Chris and I talk about as we discuss his favorite movie.

Chris’ favorite movie is streaming on Disney+

His show to escape to is 90 Day Fiance, it is streaming on Hulu. The show he thinks more people should watch is I May Destroy You, it is streaming on HBO Max.

If you’re enjoying this show please share it with your friends - I’d love to have you and them as a guest.

2 - Spotlight: Da 5 Bloods

2 - Spotlight: Da 5 Bloods

This is our first Spotlight episode. These episodes Courtney and I discuss one topic or review a show/movie.

This week we talk, Spike Lee’s ‘Da 5 Bloods’

I started reading Courtney's movie reviews a few years back. The one that struck me the most, and I share often, is her 'Queen and Slim' review. It's thoughtful and made me realize my own blindspots.

This is why I think having these spotlight episodes will be insightful and give us something else to consider. Plus, we have some hot takes, I don't think you've heard anywhere else.
