Ep. 69 Jizzy Pearl (Quiet Riot, Love/Hate, L.A. Guns, Ratt, Author)
My guest this week is singer and author, Jizzy Pearl. Jizzy made a name for himself fronting the Band Love/Hate in the early 90’s and has toured with bands such as AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Dio and many others. After Love/Hate disbanded, Jizzy went on to front bands such as LA Guns and Ratt. Now Jizzy is the lead singer for Quiet Riot. Not only is Jizzy a fantastic lead singer but he is also an amazing author! He has recently re-released his three books," I Got More Crickets Then Friends", "Unhappy Endings", and "Angst for the Memories". These books are a super fun read with a mixture of non-fiction and fiction short stories. Jizzy also has his latest single "Soul Mama" out now on Golden Robot Records and has a new single coming out August 24th titled "Wanna Be Somebody". After a few reschedules i was finally able to catch up with this weeks guest, guitarist Keith Douglas of the band Tora Tora! Tora Tora came onto the rock scene in 1989 with their debut album "Surprise Attack" and are still making music and touring today with all four original band members! Not many bands of that era can say that. Keith and I discuss his early days, signing with A&M, stepping away from music for a while and reuniting with Tora Tora as well as getting ready to play some live shows after a very long lock down due to the pandemic. This week my guest is the one and only Bobbie Jean Brown. You probably know Bobbie best from her appearance in Warrants "Cherry Pie" video. Yes, that Bobbie Brown. Bobbie started her career as a model winning Star Search a record 13 times before losing in the final but then went onto to become one of the most successful "video vixens" of the time. She was the Cherry Pie girl for Warrant and also appeared in videos for Great White and Hurricane. Bobbie went on to marry Warrant lead singer Janie Lane and later was engaged to Tommy Lee of Motley Crue. We discuss all of this and so much more in this weeks episode!
