The audio arm of Christian apologist and Bible teacher, Rob Lundberg. Rob is a is blogger, writer, equipper, and public speaker. For four years in his mid to late teenage years, he spent time as an apathetic skeptic. During those years he did a careful investigation of the historical, philosophical and empirical underpinnings of the major religious worldviews, and put them up against the Christian faith and found that the Christian faith can answer the questions of the longings of the heart and mind, and point people to the validity and truth of the Christian gospel.
With the event's of this past week in the Christian world, Rob asks a question, Is Marty Sampson's faith crisis an indicator of a larger problem in the church? What ever happened to the Great Commandment and what put the church "behind the Eight Ball" in engaging the culture? Rob tackles the idea of anti-intellectualism as relates the current events this week and gives eight reasons on why anti-intellectualism damages the affect/effect the church in America and in the West has on the respective cultures.

When you think of the New age worldview, one might think of karma and pantheism. But when it comes to science in the New Age worldview, we are also not to consider naturalistic evolution though the new age wants to borrow from a macro evolution. The main pursuit in the spiritual evolution is a new consciousness that redefines man's condition, and who Jesus is. There is nothing compatible with the Biblical worldview. Find out why in this show on the cosmic chaos of new age science.

Brad Pitt declares, “It’s taking everything you’ve learned from your parents and school and finding out what works for you and what you have to offer. The important question is, ‘What feels right for you?’” Shirley MacLaine reminds us, “It [is] not possible to judge another’s truth.” Such is the mantra of the ethics of the New Age (Cosmic Humanism) worldview. While there seems to be nothing new under the Sun with relativism, the New Age puts a karmic spin that needs to be responded to, and Rob does just that.
What about karma and is it compatible with Christianity? Rob responds to this as well in this episode of The Real Issue Podcast. If you have any questions, please send them to email@example.com.

Like every other worldview, New Age theology forms the foundation for all other aspects of its worldview. However, the New Age movement (Cosmic Humanism) differs from Christianity, Islam, and the secular worldviews in that it embraces neither theism nor atheism. Rob shows how the New Age worldview believes all things are divine, or a part of God: people, rocks, trees, stars, etc. Since everything and everyone is a part of God we have to get in touch with the “god within” to achieve total cosmic unity.
As an extra bonus Rob mentioned his talk he gave at a local college on The Religion of Star Wars that reflects these new age ideas. Here is the link for that talk: https://youtu.be/2WGGDXPZnRo

Back in the 70's some of us heard about "The Age of Aquarius." Little did we realize that there was a worldview behind the song, that has expanded into many facets of culture. That worldview is known as the "new spirituality" which is also known as the "new age movement." What it the new spirituality or new age worldview? In this show Rob paints the picture of this worldview pointing out several arenas that is affected by.
Rob also gives a short tribute to Dr. Norman L. Geisler who graduated into Heaven this past week. Join Rob as we embark in getting to the "real issue" behind the new age spiritual worldview.

Last week we addressed eight reasons why slavery in the Bible is not the modern day understanding of slavery. In the Bible could slave owners keep slave for a long period of time or was that time limited? Does the Bible teach that slaves could be beaten without repercussions? What were the limitations put forth by God? Does the Bible condone a form of slavery that violates the image and likeness of God prescription of Genesis 1:26,27?
In this show Rob addresses and answers two objections put forth by skeptics on this subject. You will not want to miss the answers to these questions and a whole lot more.

Of all the ethical challenges coming from atheists, slavery is a big one. Does the Bible prescribe or describe slavery? Many of the new atheists like to say that because the God does not stop slavery, He must not be worthy of our worship? What does the BIble have to teach us about slavery? Rob answers these questions and gives eight thoughts with regards to how the Bible truly views slavery. You might be surprised that there is a key ingredient to the Judeo Christian faith that was central to how slavery was regulated and mitigated in the Old Testament. Rob also addresses the issue of modern day slavery and the slavery of the antebellum South during the Civil War.

Over the years many of us have heard from well-meaning Christian school and homeschool parents that when their kids leave home that they will not walk away from their faith, becoming part of the statistic that 75-88% of Christian kids are walking away from their faith. They immediately appeal to Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Even though this is a passage from the Bible, and the Bible does not err, this maxim is totally misunderstood by many parents when it come to the first phrase, "Train up a child. . ."
In this show, Rob tries to leave no stone unturned in showing the problem, and explaining the difference between teaching your child what Christian says, and training them why Christianity is true. If Christians will give an ear, it will serve to be a great catalyst for lowering the fallout. In this show, Rob is not spouting off without providing you with resources.

Skeptics say that for one to believe the BIble and the existence of God, one needs to commit 'intellectual suicide.' That does not help when the church in America demonstrates an anti-intellectualism, we can see how the church can be behind the eight ball for reaching the culture. Join Rob in this show as he unpacks why one does not need to commit intellectual suicide in being a Christian, and that apologetics has several benefits in our discipleship and cultural engagement. When it comes to apologetics, Scripture commands it, reason demands it, the culture is crying out for an answer, and the church needs it to ward off deception and to fortify believers' faith in their discipleship.

Is science at war with faith or is it the other way around? In this show Rob shows that there is no war, and how the scientific community "atttacking faith" is couched in atheism. What does this mean? What it means is that science does not say anything, but scientists due, and there is a war of worldviews in the science academy. Rob also addresses the problem that church pastors and youth ministers are neglecting their responsibility in equipping their church in engaging this debate, and where youth ministers need to encourage the discussion with their students to encourage those wishing to enter into a scientific discipline from a biblical worldview. Is apologetics a needed task in the Christian church? Rob shows how Scripture commands us to give a reason for the hope we have. Reason demands that we articulate the Christian faith to ourselves and to others. Lastly the culture is crying out for truth, thinking that it can find it on its own. We need to be able to articulate our faith to those how ask and to those that God brings to us.

With all the new age terminology buzzing around, many well meaning Christians believe that karma is compatible with the biblical worldview. But is it as many claim compatible with the Bible's teaching of sowing and reaping? Or is it foreign to the biblical worldview and a term that we need to avoid? Rob gives an explanation of what karma is and what one would need to believe for it to be true, and compatible with the biblical worldview. In the second part of the show, he shows how the Bible's teaching of sowing and reaping is a foreign thought to the concept of karma and for that we need to move away from bandwagon fallacies and away from using the term in our vocabulary. He also shares the confusing inconsistencies when it comes to using term "karma" in our evangelism to New Agers, Hindus and Buddhists.

With the temperature of the culture ratcheting up, it will be easier for the secular city to call those of us who believe in absolutes and the truth fulness of the Christian faith intolerant and bigoted. That is why it is important to have a faith that is not just rooted in feelings, but also a thinking faith. As J. Warner Wallace calls it, a forensic faith is what we need today. One that brings in not just emotions, but also strong reasons as to why Christianity is true. Many Christians believe that Christianity is true, but they cannot demonstrate why it is true. Rob brings a response to the cultural bigotry in this show and shares why it is necessary for a "forensic faith" in today's post truth culture.
With true truth being challenged in our culture, many worldviews are contending to be equal to all other worldviews. But is the case. This show is a little heady, but that is because our culture is being dumbed down. It is time to get back into critical thinking as Rob takes the rules for determining truth to evaluate three key worldviews confronting the Christian faith.
