What are Linkedin L,I,O,N,s?  What do they do?  L,I,O,N,s stand for Linked-In Open Networker.   

Basically they Never turn down an invitation to connect, Which means they probably have the Linkedin Max of 30,000 connections... That's a lot of connections right?  Yes and no, 

Here's why.  The algorithm says Engagement is more important than connections...  so how does one build an audience to have engagement with if you have no connections to engage with?!? L,I,O,N,s are one solution to this issue.  

Your mindset will never mattered as much as it does RIGHT NOW!

Yes, the is no shortage of fear, chaos, anger,and frustration... especially during the Pandemic of Covid-19.

However, all of this also means that with a better mindset there has never been more opportunity...

What's emotion got to do with marketing?

EVERYTHING! 

It starts with the basis for all business... Humans! 

Humans are first and foremost emotional beings, our brains are powerful... but without emotions we literally won't remember anything and being memorable is the only way to get noticed and grow our businesses. 

To use this we NEED to know...

1. Who our customers are.
2. What their needs and pain-points are.
3. What Emotion do we want them to remember us with.
4. And last but not least, how we want them to feel once they've tried our product or service!

Brands often miss the mark by not understanding that Social media is not about running Ads, it's about socializing! 

This simple concept raises their cost and annoys the very customers they seek to gain... so if you are thinking about running an add for the first time then stop and think.

1. Does it add to or create a conversation?
2. Does it entertain?
3. Does the ad itself provide a value other than awareness of your brand?

Every notable historical figure got there thru an Audacious action, in fact I bet you can identify them but the actions they took... whether they rode thru the streets of Paris naked or challenged the British Empire without holding a weapon.

The real power of the lowly comment.  Most social media advertisers think that commenting is a waste of time and resources, I am happy to show you that their error is your advantage.  

Here is how Commenting works.

• People who Engage are more likely to comment than to post, and they'll engage more with other commenters.
• When you do Comment, comment on a 2nd degree connections post and you are basically advertising to THEIR connections.
• Make it relevant to the post with as much thought and value as you can.
• DO NOT SPAM or directly advertise yourself, it is a huge turn off and rude.

Using this approach I receive  3-4 connection requests per week (sometimes per day!) on Linkedin!
