17: Using Play to Heal
What did you LOVE to do as a little girl? For me, it was reading and painting for hours on end. Those things brought me incredible joy! It felt so fun, so light, so alive! When was the last time you played? Play has a very important role in healing (physically, mentally, emotionally), and let's be honest - most of us aren't thinking about play when we're struggling in our bodies. It becomes all too easy to focus only on what we eat or the supplements we take. In this episode of the podcast, I'm sharing: An easy way to discern what PLAY means to you now How we're conditioned away from play - and the perfectionism, constant busyness and burnout that result PLAY as a mantra for your follicular phase (or the waxing moon phase) Why you're naturally more playful in your follicular phase - and how to harness this for more ease, fun, flow, confidence and healing in your life I'm so excited to share this episode with you! P.S. Connection is a totally new way of using your menstrual cycle to find ease in your body, flow in your life and confidence in yourself. Health and well-being is more than the foods you eat and supplements you take - it's about learning to show up for yourself in an empowered way that leads to results and feelings of connection, playfulness and relief. Using the distinct phases of your menstrual cycle (or lunar cycle if you aren't cycling regularly) creates a state of relaxed confidence and health without forcing, restricting or punishing. Connection will change how you feel in your body and show up in your life forever. Connection is open for you. DM me on Instagram or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org for full info and a special PreSale offer.

15: Yoni Steaming for Period Problems & Self-Care with Alex Bjarnason
Yoni steaming is an incredible tool for the healing of gynecological issues in women. My friend and steam expert Alex Bjarnason of Nurtured Luna is joining me to discuss this (IMO) under-utilized healing tool. In this episode, we're jamming about: How medical trauma and birth brought Alex to yoni steaming (& my own experience in using steaming for cycles and infections) What yoni steaming is and a brief history of its use How yoni steaming can be helpful for any period problems (pain, heavy, fertility, etc), postpartum care and infections (vaginal, yeast, etc) Connecting with your womb space as a form of self-care in a society that doesn’t support women’s natural, cyclical nature My unfortunate first period story What you can do to take your health in your own hands when the medical system fails you Alex is a vaginal steam practitioner, certified by the peristeam hydrotherapy institute. 14: Regulating Your Period with the Moon
The moon is an excellent tool to bring your period back, and to regulate menstrual cycles. Each lunar phase corresponds with a specific phase in your menstrual cycle due to the energy of that time in the moon’s cycle, such as: New Moon = Menstruation Full Moon = Ovulation In this brand new episode of The Well Sisters Podcast all about using the moon to regulate your cycle, I’m sharing: How lunar cycles are connected with our menstrual cycles (& have been forever) The phases of the lunar cycle and their corresponding phases with the menstrual cycle Red Moon vs. White Moon cycle and what it means for you The safety factor of living “as if” with the moon and why it will bring on real results Simple ways to put this into practice I am contributing this episode to your menstrual healing journey because after experimenting for years, I know how easy and effective using the moon can be and I feel so strongly that you are ready to harness this power for yourself. So let’s bring that period back with the moon! P.S. 13: Self-Care During Your Period
Your period is your superpower. And when your life isn’t aligned with your cycling body, you’ll know it by experiencing terrible periods. Our menstrual flow is our fifth vital sign. It’s an extra way we get to physically and mentally detox the world. When we lean into this, we take our power back. When we lean into this, we resolve many physical problems surrounding our menstrual cycles. In this episode of The Well Sisters Podcast on self-care during your period, we’re chatting about: Why your period is a built-in pit stop on the journey of your life My first period story and how that laid the groundwork for hating my bleeds and my cycles My years of personal experiments in taming my periods - and what practices have me feeling so incredibly in love with my bleed (instead of hating it) Simple ways to incorporate self-care into your bleeding days, and the ripple effect it will have in the rest of your life Journal prompts to dive deep and figure out what you really want & need as self-care during your bleed time Journal Prompts: How do I currently feel about my bleed? How do I currently feel while bleeding? What would iI love to have more of/support with during my bleed? How do I WANT to feel during my bleed? What are some ways I can support myself during my bleed? P.S. 12: Shifting Focus & The Mindset of Healing for Women
From dieting (aka restricting) in my teens, to vegetarianism, keto, shakes, detoxes, low-calorie, low-fat, gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free….you name it, I’ve done it. Same goes for workout and supplement experimentation (the amount of different supplements I’ve tried is in the hundreds). What I now know after 16+ years of experimentation is that these physical/external interventions (food, supplements, medications, treatments, workouts, etc) will only get us so far when it comes to healing. There’s something much deeper that we are missing and not many people are talking about. I’ve experimented with it myself for a long time, especially in the last 12 months and my clients are on a similar path. I feel very strongly that there’s a huge GAP in women’s healthcare and healing, and from now on I will be focusing on closing that gap. My mission is (& always will be) to bring you to what I know to be true based on my experiences and the experiences of my clients. To give you every angle necessary to inspire hope and action on your healing journey. In this very special, vulnerable episode, I'm sharing: Why diets, foods, supplements, medications and workouts are not enough to heal The missing link in women's health & healing that's keeping us from feeling really, really good The new direction I will be taking on this podcast and in my business to help you close the gap between where you are and where you want to be P.S. 11: Reversing Female Hair Loss Naturally
It is 100% possible to reverse hair loss. I am living proof of that after losing ⅓ or more of my hair twice in my lifetime. Styling our hair a certain way, wearing hats, scarves, headbands, hating the wind - these are all the little anxieties and obsessions that come up for women experiencing hair loss. We don’t want it to be noticeable. We’re afraid of going bald and needing to wear a wig. We’re afraid of what people might think or say. Continuing our series about hair loss from yesterday’s post, I’m back today with a podcast episode all about reversing female hair loss! 🎙️ In this brand new episode of The Well Sisters Podcast I’m sharing: 👉 Causes of hair loss in women 👉 My personal struggle with hair loss 👉 How I completely reversed my hair loss in 6 months 👉 Starting steps to grow strong & healthy hair I hope you enjoy! 10: What Tests Should I Get to Check My Hormones?
Testing can be incredibly valuable when you’re dealing with menstrual, period and hormonal problems. For example, I would’ve never been diagnosed with PCOS if I hadn’t had my hormones tested, especially because I had no cysts or “string of pearls” on my ovaries. Testing is tricky though - there are subtle nuances such as getting the right tests at the right times in your menstrual cycle, using the right testing medium (blood, urine, saliva) and consulting OPTIMAL (vs. average) ranges for results. Most of the time my clients come to me having had some kind of tests in the past, and are often told everything is “normal” despite having lots of symptoms and generally feeling like 💩💩 🎙️ In episode #10 of The Well Sisters Podcast, we’re diving deep into: Why testing hormones is helpful When to test hormones for optimal results Which hormones to consider testing What to do when results come back “normal” despite having symptoms The DUTCH test for hormones and why it’s so helpful I can’t wait for you to listen! 😍 P.S. 9: What It Really Takes to Lose Weight With PCOS
What does it really take to achieve sustainable weight loss in PCOS? And what are the real reasons it seems so easy to gain and so tough to lose? It’s time to take a different approach to traditional, restrictive weight loss advice with PCOS. 🎙️ In this new episode of The Well Sisters Podcast, I’m sharing: 👉 Why 100% of my clients who’ve done weight loss diets have gained the weight back and then some (seriously - ALL of them) 👉 My personal up and down weight journey 👉 The physical fundamentals for an eating-style that supports healthy body composition in PCOS 👉 Reasons for weight gain and the inability to lose weight you haven’t considered This episode is going to blow your mind 🤯🤯🤯 P.S.
