This episode took a different perspective of a recruitment process that because of the sector, did not slow down during the pandemic but instead sped up.

Daen talked about all things process, recruiting in the health care sector and much more.

I hope you enjoy this one guys all the usual links are in the comments!

Turbo is where you put the tech and when you put the tech πŸš€

That's what Lisa Jones from Barclay Jones thinks because you need to be addicted to the outcome of what you do.

And one day there will be a movie where all that's left of the universe is the recruiters from the early 2000s πŸ‘€

Lisa gave us a lot of great content including:
1. How she could survive on a desert island
2. Tech changing pace in the last 5 years
3. That recruiters are marketers

I hope you enjoy this episode guys!

No egos. No titles πŸ‘€ That's Toni at Boxtree Recruitment's motto. As it's not about how big you are it's about how mighty you are. BIG energy on this chat show as I talked with Toni about how she runs Boxtree differently and titles are left at the door.

Things I learnt:
1. Boxtree are shortlisted for an award
2. Boxtree has no hierarchy
3. Toni has died 3 times (WHAT)

I hope you enjoy this one guys!

Welcome to the first episode of Season Two of Catching Up With Rohit featuring Ben Coppin, Business Development Manager at Volcanic. We shared our love for great wine and I know you guys all like to hear about wine and wine bargains, this episode will be sure to give you that if nothing else! The episode was great fun to record, ending in Ben giving his tips to new recruiters after a bottle of wine! I hope you enjoy it.Β

Starting 2021 off with a bang πŸ”₯

The people want to know him... the people want to see him in a hoodie... the people found out he's expecting another girl!! It's my season finale guest Rohan from Reuben Sinclair.

Although it may appear he's not a lover of games... I learnt a lot about Rohan from my quick-fire question round. With the best news that he's got a little one on the way. Congrats again man πŸ‘

Rohan gave me some tips about moving out the pandemic with the help of new technologies he'd discovered. But a word of warning that technology does have it's danger zone... we often have too many options and don't use them all... we use the ones with short-term effects when the long-term effects ones are often better.

And as he put it... 'people don't know how good they've got it now' compared to the mess of 2008 with no technology resources like we have now.

My first lunchtime special featuring Kate from Montreal Associates. On Rohit's chat show there are no limits...

When you thought my quick-fire round was tough in past episodes, I added in trying to eat whilst answering... a new challenge in itself.

Are you looking to take up drinking? We've got the advice for you... Lidl vs. Aldi for your Xmas wine purchases... Lidl is great for fresh but Aldi is great for frozen and wines - change our minds πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Introducing my next guest and first recruiter on the chat show... he's bearded, has a shaved head, Scottish... it's Scotland's very own Jesus Leith from SW6 Associates.

Not only is he fashionable, but he's also great at recruitment tag lines... name a better tag line for a recruitment agency than 'we get people jobs' πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

And Conor McGregor if your listening... Leith's offer is still there...

Thanks for joining me Leith, we both revealed things we shouldn't of πŸ˜…

You do not find recruitment... it finds you πŸ€”

After covid wiped Chris Cranshaw's plans out the window this year, the only things to turn it around are being on my talk show and having a beer with Boris... obviously.

I'm sure a quick conversation with Boris about recruitment would be enough to brighten his year too...

And the competition for the best background is on... thanks, Chris 😎

At the Bean

How do recruitment owners think?

Can it save me money? Can it save time? Can it get me results?

I convinced a recruitment owner yes to all the above... made my first deal... adjusted to my new surroundings and by adjusted I mean made the deal... But then I blanked and self-doubt crept in.

It was time to get back to billing and telling recruiters how to run their businesses.Β

The Journal: The Yellow Pages

The Journal: The Yellow Pages

How do most people become a recruiter? By accident...

After flunking out of university when I was 19 (living in an Asian household... that wasn't my best move), my next move was to hit the yellow pages.

2008 think the yellow pages, 2020 think social media.

The newest generation use LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook to find their next role. But unfortunately for me, I had to hit the yellow pages... and the phone.

At this stage was I primed for recruitment?

The Journal: Introduction

The Journal: Introduction

What if I told you about my mistakes, successes and what I’ve learned from them?

I didn’t want to do a podcast but I wanted the recruitment market to be able to relate to my past and maybe even have done similar.

Since lockdown, being on furlough and having my newborn, I had time to think about the people and experiences that made an impact on my life.

My newborn was in the hospital for one week and I couldn’t see him, which meant every day for 2 hours I had time to reflect on my life and the people that have impacted my everyday well being.

I hope you can take on board my experiences to use in your own life or business.

Right, let’s crack on...
