The Healthy Writer: Mental Health & Productivity - Part 2

The Healthy Writer: Mental Health & Productivity - Part 2

In today's episode we wrap up the Healthy Writer series.

I have been talking to Dr. Aimee Blumears about health and how writers can be more productive as they become healthier.

In this episode we talk about the mental health and how that can affect the productivity of a writer.

We touch on Imposter Syndrome, the danger of comparing yourself to others, mentorship, self- talk and other mental related issues.

This was a packed discussion that I really enjoyed. I hope you will enjoy it and get some nuggets that will help you on your author journey as you strive to be healthier and more productive as an author.

And even if you know someone who is not an author but is struggling with their mental health I would recommend you share this episode with them.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the topic so make sure to comment below or on my Facebook page.

What Do You Believe About Your Success As An Author?

What Do You Believe About Your Success As An Author?

What do you believe about your success as a self published author? Even if you are starting the journey what do you believe your chances are as a writer? Your answer is going to determine the success you want to achieve or will play an instrumental part in your failure. Who are you allowing to tell you what your potential is? All these things play a big part in you achieving the goals you have set your self.

Expectation is a huge thing so if you allow people to set your expectation levels then you are in trouble. Set your own expectations but to that you need to make sure you are dreaming big and setting big goals. You also need to get rid of negative mindsets that have creeped in as you have allowed just anyone to tell you what is and what is not possible for you.

If you enjoyed this episode I would love to hear your thoughts on it and please share it. Also give this episode and podcast a five-star rating if you are enjoying it.

Thank you for listening to this episode and I will see you next week.

Remember, you have something worth sharing.

Writing A Book As A Poet

Writing A Book As A Poet

In this episode I talk to a good friend of mine, Bradley Odilo who is a poet.

And he has released a book titled, The Art of Relating.

We talk about what the book is all about and we also talk about what the writing journey

has been like for him.

We also talk about how he got into writing by starting a blog and we also talk about the method

he used as he wrote his book.

He also gave tips to other poets who might be considering writing a book.

It was a really great interview and we had fun.

If you would like to know more of what Bradley is doing, buy his book or you want to listen to the poems he has done

The Freedom We Have As Indie Authors.

The Freedom We Have As Indie Authors.

As Indie Author's we need to throw out the rule book. There are no limits to abide by as an Indie author.

We can write what we want and we can write when we want and we dictate the pace we want to move at.

There are no set guidelines to follow as an Indie author.

We have all the freedom.

It does mean that you will have to work extra hard to learn what you need to learn but that's okay.

So stop listening to people who try to make you think there is one way to success as a writer because as an Indie

author the options at your disposal are boundless.

What were your thoughts on the topic?

Are you an Indie author or traditional published author?

Comment below.

I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you for listening to the episode.

If you enjoy what your are listening to consider giving this podcast a 5-star rating.

I will see you next week and remember, you have something worth sharing.
