Episode060: Obedience When It Doesn't Make Sense | Brian Lawrence
This episode is all about faithful obedience even when it doesn't make sense to the world or even on paper. In this episode, I chat with my friend, Brian Lawrence about how he and his wife stepped out in faith to be obedient to what God asked them to do. Even when it's scary, even when we don't have the next step laid out for us, even when we can't fully explain it, the Lord wants us to be obedient. You can connect with Brian on LinkedIn.

Motherhood is a beautiful and hard job, and we have a huge responsibility as mothers. So Satan would love nothing more than for us to believe the lies he puts on us to question ourselves, our capabilities, and even our God. But the Truth - the Word of God - helps us refute those lies so we can walk boldly and freely in our motherhood. Listen in as Rebekah Hargraves shares how allowing the Gospel to impact her motherhood transformed her and allows us to refute the lies we so often believe. Easter week, or Holy Week, is one of remembrance and celebration for what Christ did on the cross and through His resurrection. We don't want to miss the power of this special week, but we also don't want to leave the celebration of Easter to just one day or week each year. As Christ followers living in a post-resurrection world, we are called to go and tell others of the good news of Jesus Christ and His saving grace. In this episode, we talk about the call on every Christian's life to go + tell others the good news.

Episode044: Bringing Our Offering | Lauren Snider
I recently shared on social media about how our sad excuse for a tree was fulfilling it's purpose by allowing a bird to sit on it's singular branch. I compared this to how we may feel when what we have to offer isn't good enough - but when we bring that offering to the Lord, He can do amazing things with it. This post seemed to really resonate, so in this episode, we are diving deeper into this topic. We are talking about how God is looking for faithful obedience over a large or glamorous offering. He sees the heart of the one bringing the offering, and He is pleased. We can be encouraged that God takes our meager offerings and uses them for His glory and the furthering of His Kingdom.

Episode043: Not a Hot Mess Mom | Lauren Snider
Hot Mess Mom culture has become quite the trend. It perpetuates the idea that if you are a mom, you're automatically a hot mess. It can be silly and funny as we joke about the difficulties of motherhood, but it can also become our identity. In this episode, we talk about how this is not the identity in Christ we are called to take on. The reality is that we are messes without Christ. We talk about how we can't save ourselves, and we need Him to save us. But THAT is our new identity. We are a new creation in Him - and that's what we should be sharing with the world - our identity in Christ - as messed up, but saved mamas.

The Lord led her and her husband to adopt through the process of fostering. Desiree shares how God grew her faith and reliance on Him through this process, and gives us some practical advice and encouragement for those going through the process and those walking alongside someone else on this journey. The Church can and should play a role in fostering and adoption, and this episode will help encourage you as you seek how God wants you to be His hands and feet. Episode031: Armor Up with Lauren Snider
In the book of Ephesians, Paul writes about the armor of God. He compares the armor Roman soldiers of his time would have worn to the spiritual protection we need against the enemy of our souls. In this episode, I (your host, Lauren) dive into each piece of armor and why it's so important to "put on the armor" daily. We have a real enemy - Satan - and he wants to kill, steal, and destroy. But we have been given tools to fight back and keep our eyes on our ultimate Defender.

But I realized in my frustration after a few attempts that I often expect results after a short time or little effort - even in my faith. In this quick episode, I share how, just because we have the right tools, doesn't mean we'll see the results right away. Time and consistency is the name of the game when it comes to growing in our relationship with Jesus AND in becoming a latte artist.
