When I first found God I was so on fire for who God was. How much God gave me and freed me of my prisons, that I got thrown into a loop when dealing with people who are in the church. I’ve gone through so much judgment in my life that I couldn’t get over it. Until I finally had to learn that church members are human too….

My life has been filled with putting up this facade. And at the end of the day, I had to drop all the masks, I adopted through my years. One of the biggest things to being truly free is to go natural in your truth and know when to drop that mask.

Music is one of my go tos. I've processed my pain, joy, and my prayers through it. When I couldn’t take it anymore I would go to my bathroom and sing until I didn’t feel the pain anymore. The power of song can be so freeing and it has helped me time and time again. Let me tell you the reason why I sing.

I’ve come to a place in my life where I know who I am and more importantly who I was. We tend to pick things up from the people and experiences we find along the way. But I had to know what to drop by the waste side and what to keep onto. Grave Of The Fireflies is a Studio Ghibli film that I hold dear to my heart for a number of reasons.  One of that is now becoming a lost art.

Rejection feels awesome, doesn’t it? And I mean this so very sarcastically. Rejection is one of those things that you know you are going to have to experience, but we try our hardest to avoid it. Even though this is an inevitable process, it allowed me to see something so plain as day. Like the forgotten keys left on your counter, the truth was standing right in plain sight. I finally understood why rejection potentially happens. The roots of why this painful conundrum happens ever so often to us. You see, ironically their rejection became the mirror of my reflection.

Mental imagery is the envisioning of one’s goal even though the contingent factors are not present. Children do it all the time as we commonly call it using their imagination. But as we grow older we do away with using this tool. When we imagine our life’s purpose we are in fact using mental imagery. God loves to give us the end goal and vision, but faith is the mental imagery that keeps us on the right path. Knowing what is an asset or the hindrance is what is going to make or break you. You know the saying you are what you eat.

Getting that breakthrough isn't easy. And usually, it isn't other people its things that we haven't dealt with that is within ourselves. But when we finally get there you can now maneuver around the hurdles that hinder your growth. Baby let me tell you. IT AIN'T ALWAYS EASY. But it is possible. Fully having a seat with your pile of hindrance is what God loves. To be teachable and to actively overcome them is your key to getting into bigger arenas of life. What to grow deal with with your weapons. Because if you ask yourself how far could I have gotten if I would have just changed the dysfunctions of myself.
