Finlay Wild - The Big Rounds
Finlay Wild - the mountain running GOAT himself. Having made a name for himself as a Scottish and British hill running champion and racing abroad in the Skyrunning World Series, Finlay has lately turned his attention to the longer-distance challenges in the UK. In particular, his recent achievement of completing the UK's three 'Big Rounds' - Ramsay's Round, the Bob Graham Round, and the Paddy Buckley.
His most recent record-breaking attempt on the Paddy saw him smash Kim Collison's previous record by over an hour, finishing in 15 hours, 14 minutes and 45 seconds.
He and I have spoken at length about our shared interest in the environment, and so we start this podcast talking about the Green Runners, before going more into the Rounds and his love for the mountains.
