With Rob away on holiday once again (Round the Boards really need to review their salaries) it's the turn for a new guest host, and King's Lynn fan, Chris Abbs to join Nathan and Cain in another packed show. Joining us on the show was Newcastle fan, Redcar, and now Workington Centre Green Presenter, Roy Clarke, as he discussed his life in Speedway, as well as taking on Cain in the latest edition of The Podcast vs The World. We reviewed Round 2 of the SGP as Warsaw threw up some spectacular action, as well as a controversial finish, but it was Fredrik Lindgren who reigned supreme. We looked back at the previous week's action, as well as announcing Jason Edwards 24 as our latest Rider of the Week. This week, the trio are joined by Joshua Moss, formerly Team Manager of Buxton Hitmen, who sadly shut their doors back in 2018 for League racing but still operate open days at the track, as we talk Buxton and NDL Speedway. There is the review of the Croatian GP on a damp opening round as Bartosz Zmarzlik started his campaign off as he did in 2022, with a win. We look back to the previous weeks meetings as well as looking ahead to next week. We have our usual features, including our new debate, Team of the Month, where we decide our April winner. As Rob swans off on his cruise, we are joined by guest host and fellow Podcaster Ian Brannan, as well as Greg Blair, who ended up joining us for the entire show, and what a show it was.

This week saw two podcasts,  or even 3, collide, as Ian Brannan of BSN, plus the Humans of Speedway and No Brakes No Fear podcasts came on the show for a chat.  There were the usual meeting previews and reviews, Danny King was named the first Round the Boards Rider of the Week, as nominations were revealed for next week.  The first Scottish Derby of the season was named Meeting of the Week as Edinburgh take on Glasgow on Good Friday.  Ian also took on Cain in The Podcast vs The World as well as taking part in the quickfire 10, plus more general speedway chat.

The speedway season started in earnest, eventually, after the rain initially interrupted, with meetings at Sheffield, the Ben Fund Bonanza at Kings Lynn and Sam Masters Testimonial at Wolves. Nathan handed over the cheque for £150 to Paul Ackroyd live on BSN, with Chris Abbs securing the £75 winners prize. There was a family affair on the Pod as suprise guest Craig Ludlow took on Rob in the quiz, genuine shock for Rob months appearance. They guys also look forward to the forthcoming meetings as Oxford vs Swindon Select was chosen as the Meeting of the Week, and a poll will be coming up to select Rider of the Week, as each of us chose a selection, plus lots more on a packed show. The trio finally made it back together as they discussed the finer points of British Speedway, this week delving into the Championship PO Final being held on a neutral track as Poole over came Leicester at Kings Lynn. There was also the news surrounding the extra fixtures in the Championship as of 2023 as they were increased from 18 to 32 and the removal of pointless fixtures. This point quickly followed by the Jubilee final taking place next season between 2 teams who will be in different leagues. It was an exciting climax to the SGP season as the final chapter was written for 2022, and the top 6 booked their places in the 2023 series. We look ahead with our predictions as to who the lucky 6 might be for next season but for Robert Lambert and Dan Bewley, there were no concerns. Mateusz Cierniak was crowned the new SGP2 champion as he reached another final in Torun. Also on the show this week are the usual look back at our predictions, the Watt vs Ludlow challenge, and an interesting debate sparked by the news of Robert Lambert joining up with Belle Vue for the Play Offs. We also look at the sad news of Swindon Speedway no longer riding at the Abbey stadium. Our final installment sees the trio name their SGB Championship 1-7 and try to form some agreement of a final 1-7. There are laughs, arguments and some slip of the tongues as we debate that final 7. Great Britain took home two medals from Speedway of Nations last weekend but were sadly unable to retain their monumental gold from last year. Having to settle for a silver from the senior meeting and bronze from the SON2, but both results are still very positive and a sign of just how far our riders have progressed thanks to the change of setup with Team GB. Other talking points from this week feature the colossal amount of injuries we're continuing to see plague the British League, Kings Lynn's new number 1 (who wasn't announced when we recorded, but best of luck to Nicolai on his return to our shores), plus we take a look to the upcoming British Final taking place Monday 1st August, however, with the show recorded Sunday 31st July, if we didn't get the winner right, cut us a little slack! (except Cain, as you'll see why in this weeks Watt vs Ludlow quiz)

The regular trio returns this week, and what a week it has been!
The full lineups for the upcoming Speedway of Nations have been announced (Although Norway now replaces Slovakia following the withdrawal of Martin Vaculik), Leon Flint is crowned British Under 19 Champion at Redcar in an excellent showdown with some of the country's greatest talents! Ipswich Witches are starting to pull away from the pack in the Premiership Pairs following another win at Wolverhampton, and a change of Rising Stars sees Kings Lynn's Jake Mulford now at Peterborough Panthers. Mildenhall Fen Tigers' injury concerns continue to grow following accidents to Luke Muff and Sam Bebee over the week, as well as a call out to Belle Vue Colts' Archie Freemen over their track conditions. Quite the rundown of news, but the guys will continue to bring you the latest developments that come out of British Speedway!

Ryan Mitchell came in as a late choice of guest replacement for the unavailable Cain Watt and what an inspired guest it turned out to be with a new trio for 1 week only, being joined on the show by joint Team GB boss Olly Allen, to discuss all things SON as they prepare for the week long event starting next week.

The Watt vs Ludlow quiz is put on hold, with Nathan taking Cain's place in the hot seat to take on Rob in a game of Lies! Our meeting of the week showcase takes us to Manchester, as the Belle Vue Colts welcome Leicester Lion Cubs, in the visitors' first meeting of the NDL season, and to complete things, we announce the winner of our Speedway Scratchcard Competition, who wins £50, And £110 being sent to the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund and £50 going towards the show's upkeep and future productions.
