Ep. 82: Liberate Michigan...From Trump (feat. Rep. Rashida Tlaib)
Coronavirus has disproportionally hurt poor and black Americans, in addition to the elderly. Michigan's 13th congressional district is the 3rd poorest in America and is 60 percent African-American. For decades, it was represented by the legendary congressman John Conyers Jr. and now, it is represented by first-term congresswoman Rashida Tlaib. She joins Michael to discuss how she is helping her constituents cope with Covid-19, racial and environmental injustice, what makes Detroit so special and defeating Donald Trump in November. On May 4, 1970, four unarmed college students at Kent State University were murdered by the Ohio National Guard during a peaceful protest of the United States' illegal invasion of Cambodia. Among the dead was 19-year-old Allison Krause, who was killed by an American soldiers' bullet through the chest. Michael Moore announced today that he is releasing a brand new documentary film and is offering it as a gift, free of charge, in the midst of the global pandemic. Planet of the Humans, a documentary that dares to say what no one else will this Earth Day — that we are losing the battle to stop climate change on planet earth because we are following leaders who have taken us down the wrong road — selling out the green movement to wealthy interests and corporate America. This film is the wake-up call to the reality we are afraid to face: that in the midst of a human-caused extinction event, the environmental movement’s answer is to push for techno-fixes and band-aids. It's too little, too late. On this special episode of RUMBLE, Michael is joined by the director of the film, Jeff Gibbs, and producer Ozzie Zehner. Ep. 69: Your Beloved Private Health Insurance (feat. Wendell Potter)
When Michael Moore made the Oscar-nominated film SiCKO about America's health care system, Wendell Potter was a Vice President and "chief propagandist" at health insurance giant Cigna. He and his colleagues devised a plan to "push Michael Moore off a cliff" due to fear that the film would expose the corruption of their industry. Potter's role was to fly to Michigan, infiltrate the premiere of the film, and and spy on and discredit Moore. Not long after watching the film, Potter experienced a crisis of conscience and could no longer continue lying on behalf of America's health insurers. He became a whistleblower, spilled the beans about how his former business operates and is now a vocal advocate for a true, government-backed, universal health care system in America. He joins Michael to recount their bizarre first meeting, expose the lie that Americans love their private health insurance and figure out health care in America post-coronavirus pandemic. *********** Watch Michael Moore's 2007 classic SiCKO here: https://youtu.be/YbEQ7acb0IE or here: https://vimeo.com/76646445 *********** Read Wendell Potter's books! Jane McAlevey is a lifetime agitator and shitkicker. So why haven’t you seen her on TV? Why don’t we ever see any of our brightest thinkers and doers in the mainstream media? This is one of reasons I started RUMBLE — to bring brilliant voices like hers to you. Ep. 62: EMERGENCY PODCAST SYSTEM — He's Gonna Get Us Killed
New York is days away from the massive manslaughter of thousands of innocent souls whose only crime was to be living in the time of Trump. Instead of a few hundred that might have otherwise died from an errant virus, thousands are now at death’s door because the profit motive is keeping the gear they desperately need away from them. And because we’ve now learned that the President chose to do little or nothing to help — initially blaming the “hoax” on the Democrats and the media, and then being clueless as to how to order, gather and ship the needed materials. As of this posting, nearly three 9/11’s-worth of Americans have died, and many more are about to join them. This time, though, Americans were killed by a different type of terrorist. There will be no memorial built to honor them, no country to invade to avenge their deaths (Mar-a-Lago is not a country). Michael Moore issues an urgent appeal to his listeners on this special emergency edition of RUMBLE to immediately share their ideas with him as to how we can beat back two monsters at once — the war profiteers and the war president. Ep. 59: It Is Not Necessary To Hope In Order To Persevere (feat. James K. Galbraith)
What would a Great Depression/World War II-like mobilization of American society look like if we were to attempt to fix our country and society today in the midst of the pandemic? Do we, as Americans, have the will, the ideas, the courage or the leadership to care for the sick, protect the vulnerable, and then, revitalize our economy and fix the ugly aspects of our society that Covid-19 has exposed? Michael discusses these big issues with James K. Galbraith, a scholar, author and one of the pre-eminent economists of our time. Generations ago, when America faced the fallout of the Great Depression and World War II, James' father, John Kenneth Galbraith was the legendary economic thinker who Roosevelt, Truman and Kennedy turned to help steer America and and re-shape the post-war society.  ************** Protect Your Online Privacy with ExpressVPN! The U.S. Senate is on the brink of passing a massive corporate giveaway that will be yet another transfer of wealth from the American people to the wealthy. It was described by HuffPost's Zach Carter like this: "It is not an economic rescue package, but a sentence of unprecedented economic inequality and corporate control over our politics that will resonate for a generation. It represents a transfer of wealth and power to the super rich from the rest of us, with the support of both political parties ― a damning statement about the condition of American democracy." Ep. 55: Cash Now (feat. Stephanie Kelton)
The coronavirus pandemic and all of the economic and social crises that it has exposed has politicians of all stripes calling for massive government intervention. And, funny enough, no pundit or politician is whining about how “WE CAN’T AFFORD THIS!” But just as in 2008, corporations and lobbyists are salivating at the opportunity to milk this crisis for as much government money as they can get their hands on. This is why we MUST use this moment to massively reshape our economic and healthcare systems and immediately get money in the hands of all Americans. Ep. 54: Don’t Panic. PANIC.
Overnight the hospitals in New York began to drown. ICUs are filling up. There aren’t enough ventilators. Only a few masks are left. Many doctors and nurses already have the virus, and too many are being hospitalized themselves. A woman in Michael’s apartment building tested positive and died. The day we have dreaded is here. If we scramble - if we scream bloody murder - if we act smart, today, might there be a way out? Trump has shut all the doors. Forget for now about beating him in November. A number of us won’t live 'til November. We need to beat him now, beat down those doors he’s blocking, so that a million voters don’t die. ************** Music Credit: Escape from New York (Original Film Soundtrack) - Main Title - John Carpenter https://music.apple.com/us/album/main-title/100959866?i=100959665

Ep. 53: EMERGENCY PODCAST SYSTEM — The First Million Dead
Michael Moore sounds the alarm like never before. We don’t have days — we have HOURS left to act. Trump’s weeks of inaction and leading the public to believe this virus is “a hoax” will now cost millions of people their lives. Perhaps we can save some of them — but only if everyone who hears this podcast takes action today. Michael exposes the facts that have been kept from the public. He reveals what he’s been told by several public health experts, doctors, government officials and one source who is in frequent and direct contact with President Trump. None of it is pretty. There will be no more school this year — and maybe little or none next year as well. Our hospitals are about to get slammed and overwhelmed on a massive scale. The Army Corps of Engineers must be called up to build dozens of field hospitals. We will not have enough nurses and doctors. The government must nationalize industries to build the ventilators and other equipment we need. This must happen this week. Mike issues a call to action to save lives and for all of us to make serious sacrifices like we never have before. ********** Call your U.S. Senators: 202-225-3121 Call your U.S. Rep: 202-224-3121 WATCH: Mechanical Ventilation Explained Clearly - Ventilator Settings & Modes https://youtu.be/gk_Qf-JAL84 The Sewell Avery photo: http://bit.ly/3d8hvsN

Ep. 52: O Government, Where Art Thou? (feat. Dr. Abdul El-Sayed)
In a modern, functioning, democratic society, how should a public health crisis be handled? And what would America's response to the coronavirus pandemic look like if we had a universal healthcare system such as Medicare For All? Michael discusses this with Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, a physician and epidemiologist and the former Health Commissioner in the City of Detroit. El-Sayed ran for Governor of Michigan campaigning on universal healthcare. Ep. 51: EMERGENCY PODCAST SYSTEM — The Awful Truth
Michael Moore reveals conversations he's had with public health and security experts, foreign journalists and government officials (plus one source directly in contact with President Trump) to share the awful truth: we may lose multiple times more Americans to coronavirus than the total number of American troops killed in World War II; this is the most serious pandemic since the 1918 flu;  President Trump is actively and purposefully holding up the federal government response and putting millions of lives at risk. ********** READ:  Coronavirus: Why You Must Act Now https://medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coronavirus-act-today-or-people-will-die-f4d3d9cd99ca WATCH: Rep. Ep. 50: What They Know About Uncle Joe
There is one reason why Joe Biden has emerged as the Democratic frontrunner - the concept of "electability." While all of the exit polls show that Bernie Sanders' policy ideas are the most popular among voters, Joe Biden is winning races on the strength of his perceived ability to defeat Donald Trump. But is he really the "safe" and "electable" choice? Michael Moore discusses the major flaws behind this thinking, including revealing conversations he's had with Democratic officials and media insiders. ****************** Music Credit: Big Sean (feat. The Democratic nominating contest is down to Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders. Ep. 47: The Christopher Nolan/Memento Primary
What if the sun rose on the West? What if, on Tuesday night at 8pm ET, the first Super Tuesday results had been announced from the largest and most diverse state in the country, California? ”Huge win for Bernie Sanders! A huge delegate lead!" An hour later, in conservative, Mormon, Utah, “the winner is....Bernie Sanders!” Then Colorado comes next…”another victory for Bernie Sanders! And in a key swing state!” How we were presented the results on Tuesday night, which has turned this into a two-person race between Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders with only a handful of delegates separating them, has greatly affected the public perception of the race. While Bernie Sanders is now the underdog, it is a close race, and the American people must hear vigorous debates between Biden and Sanders about who they are, what they believe, what their plans are for the country and how they will defeat Trump.

Ep. 46: Super Tuesday Preview, Part 4 - Fight The Power
The corporatist, centrist wing of the Democratic Party has gotten in formation. Joe Biden is their man. The mainstream media is endlessly promoting him and not hiding their bias. Sadly, many of them would rather have Donald Trump in the White House than Bernie Sanders. Michael Moore gives an impassioned plea to everyone who wants to defeat Trump and to defeat the system which gave us Trump to not give in to the failed establishment that handed us Trump in the first place. The future of the county and of humanity depends on it.

Four days until Super Tuesday, Michael lays out the stakes of how important Tuesday's elections are what role coronavirus will play in shaping our views of this election.  We are only as safe as the human being who has no health insurance or access to medical care. A nation that has millions of people who are not insured or are under-insured means that millions of American's are encouraged to NOT seek tests or treatment - which makes the coronavirus that much more dangerous. *********** Watch "SiCKO" here: https://youtu.be/YbEQ7acb0IE

Ep. 40: EMERGENCY PODCAST SYSTEM — Russian Bot Bros
Senator Bernie Sanders issued a forceful statement on Friday against Russian attempts to meddle in the 2020 election, as he has done in the past. This came in response to a Washington Post story that Sanders was recently briefed by U.S. intelligence officials that Russia was meddling in the election and attempting to "help" his campaign in an unspecified way. This comes on the heels of the Sanders' opponents and the media dredging up the "Bernie Bro" canard from 2016 and attempting to portray online Sanders supporters as uniquely vile. In this EMERGENCY PODCAST SYSTEM edition of RUMBLE, Michael Moore makes the connection between these two stories and explains the urgency of setting this story straight. Sanders opponents who falsely accused Sanders supporters of "death threats" and ugly online behavior appear to have been duped by a Russian disinformation campaign. ********************** Washington Post story on the briefing Senator Sanders received: https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/bernie-sanders-briefed-by-us-officials-that-russia-is-trying-to-help-his-presidential-campaign/2020/02/21/5ad396a6-54bd-11ea-929a-64efa7482a77_story.html

Ep. 38: There’s More Of Us Than There Are Of Them (feat. Rachel Bitecofer)
Why do so many Democrats keep making the mistake of running to the so-called "middle" or apologizing for being Democrats every election cycle? And why do Republicans -  an unpopular political party that enacts awful and discredited policies, continue to win and hold onto power? Michael is joined by a political scientist who has studied the fallacy of focusing on "swing voters" and how, instead, the number one goal of Democrats should be turning out non-voters, occasional voters and their base. Rachel Bitecofer is a political scientist and professor at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia and a Senior Fellow at the Niskanen Center. Her election model accurately predicted the outcome of the Democratic blue wave in the 2018 House elections and she shares her thoughts on 2020, what the Democrats keep getting wrong, and how accidentally getting hit in the head by a pack of Ramen Noodles by Michael Moore in 2004 turned her life around. *********************** Follow Rachel on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/RachelBitecofer Rachel's 2020 election model: http://cnu.edu/wasoncenter/2019/07/01-2020-election-forecast/ New Politico profile of Rachel Bitecofer: https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2020/02/06/rachel-bitecofer-profile-election-forecasting-new-theory-108944 To watch the film on the "Slacker Uprising" tour that Rachel & Michael discussed, go here: https://youtu.be/Axk_8DV2GXM

The failures of liberal half measures, compromise and "third way" politics has opened the door for right-wing demagogues to take power. It has also re-awakened a militant and energized left to combat both the wackadoodle right and the tepid center. We're seeing this play out in American politics and the 2020 Democratic primary. Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor is a scholar, author and activist. Her writing and speaking has incisively and ferociously exposed the failures of capitalism and the necessity of a fierce struggle to overcome it. She joins Michael to discuss how the hell we got here and how we liberate ourselves. ********** "Five Years Later, Do Black Lives Matter?" https://jacobinmag.com/2019/09/black-lives-matter-laquan-mcdonald-mike-brown-eric-garner "How Real Estate Segregated America" https://www.dissentmagazine.org/article/how-real-estate-segregated-america-fair-housing-act-race Read about and order Keeanga's books here: http://www.keeangataylor.com/books.html Follow Keeanga on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/KeeangaYamahtta ******************** Subscribe to “RUMBLE with Michael Moore” on: Apple apple.co/rumble Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/5KubucWBfyJr14bD7xWBvS Google: https://www.google.com/podcasts?feed=aHR0cHM6Ly9hbmNob3IuZm0vcy8xMGZjOWEzMC9wb2RjYXN0L3Jzcw== Stitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/michael-moore-4/rumble-with-michael-moore Anchor: https://anchor.fm/rumble-with-michael-moore Follow Michael on: Twitter: https://twitter.com/MMFlint Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mmflint/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/michaelfmoore/ ********************

Michael Moore shares his personal history with both Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, who both starred in 2009's "Capitalism: A Love Story." In very personal terms, he addresses the possible fracture within the progressive movement and why we must move past this in order to ensure the defeat of both Donald Trump and the rotten system that produced Trump. ***************************** The Credibility Gap Current Affairs https://www.currentaffairs.org/2020/01/the-credibility-gap Bernie in 1987: Lamenting that there aren’t more women in office and encouraging young girls to run: https://twitter.com/pjayevans/status/1216826375744737280 Bernie in 1988: “In my view a woman could be elected president of the United States” https://twitter.com/meaganmday/status/1216793548567113728 Bernie Sanders’s Hard Fight for Hillary Clinton The New Yorker https://www.newyorker.com/news/amy-davidson/bernie-sanderss-hard-fight-for-hillary-clinton Compilation of 40 campaign events Bernie Sanders did for Hillary Clinton in 2016: https://twitter.com/ThomasIsOnline/status/1147606198050574337 Compilation of 12 rallies and 3 fundraisers Hillary Clinton did for Barack Obama in 2008: https://twitter.com/ThomasIsOnline/status/1147614729491353603 Exit polling after the 2008 campaign showed that 15 percent of Clinton-supporting Democrats in the primary voted for John McCain in the general election over Barack Obama: https://web.archive.org/web/20081108082743/http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/11/04/exit.polls/ According to data from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study, only 12 percent of people who voted for Bernie Sanders in the 2016 Democratic presidential primaries voted for Trump in the general election: https://www.npr.org/2017/08/24/545812242/1-in-10-sanders-primary-voters-ended-up-supporting-trump-survey-finds *******

Ep. 18: Assassins
176 passengers on a Ukrainian passenger jet were all killed after it was shot down this weekend. The government of Iran admitted that they mistakenly shot it down, days after Donald Trump ordered the assassination a top Iranian leader who was in Iraq, setting off 72 hours of chaos and heightened tensions. If not for America's illegal and unjustified assassination, wouldn't these 176 passengers still be alive? Michael discusses America's history in Iran, the stupidity of pro-war Democrats, and the balmy winter weather on the East Coast. ******************** Subscribe to “RUMBLE with Michael Moore” on: Apple apple.co/rumble Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/5KubucWBfyJr14bD7xWBvS Google: https://www.google.com/podcasts?feed=aHR0cHM6Ly9hbmNob3IuZm0vcy8xMGZjOWEzMC9wb2RjYXN0L3Jzcw== Stitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/michael-moore-4/rumble-with-michael-moore Anchor: https://anchor.fm/rumble-with-michael-moore Follow Michael on: Twitter: https://twitter.com/MMFlint Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mmflint/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/michaelfmoore/ ********************

Ep. 9: Please Let Me Rob You, I'm Woke (feat. Anand Giridharadas)
While the majority of Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck and one emergency away from financial peril, a new study shows that the 500 richest people in the world gained a combined $1.2 trillion in wealth in 2019. In the U.S., the richest 0.1% now control a bigger share of the pie than at any time since the beginning of the Great Depression. But what happens when the very people hoarding this wealth at the expense of democracy, the environment and an equitable society, re-brand themselves as the people who will fix society's problems? What happens when the arsonists pose as the firefighters? Anand Giridharadas has been studying these questions and he joins Michael Moore to name names and discuss what to do about it.  Rumble Reads: Anand's book, "Winners Take All" is here: https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/539747/winners-take-all-by-anand-giridharadas/9780451493248 Follow Anand here: https://twitter.com/AnandWrites The Jamie Dimon "60 Minutes" episode that Michael and Anand ridicule is here: https://www.cbsnews.com/video/jamie-dimon-jp-morgan-chase-ceo-the-60-minutes-interview-2019-11-10/ The new survey about the wealthiest people in the world is here : https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-12-27/world-s-richest-gain-1-2-trillion-as-kylie-baby-sharks-prosper

Ep. 7: A Very Rumble Christmas
Join Michael Moore for a RUMBLE Christmas sing-along! The lyrics are below and are slightly altered to match the times we live in. Merry Christmas! 1. Rudy, the Red-Nosed Reindeer Rudy, the red nosed lawyer Had a very shiny nose That’s cause of where he put it Right up in, well, you know. All of the other Trumpsters Used to roll their eyes and sneer As Rudy hung out in Ukraine Hoping to deliver a smear. Then one foggy winter’s day Donald came to say Rudy with your nose so bright Won’t you tell more lies tonight Then all the Trumpsters loved him And they shouted out with glee — “Rudy the red-nosed lawyer You’ll go down in infamy!“ 2. Nancy Pelosi Is Coming to Town Oh, you better watch out You better not cry You better not pout I’m telling you why Nancy Pelosi is coming to town! She’s making a list Checking it twice Gonna find out who’s working for ICE Nancy Pelosi is coming to town. She sees you when you’re sleeping She knows when you’re awake She knows what else is in that server — And she knows you're on the take! You better watch out You better not try To hold a fake trial I’m telling you why — Nancy will kick your ass! 3. Silent Night  Silent Night! Holy Night! Fox is gone. Murdoch’s left town. Tucker and Hannity — Nobody cares. Fox and Friends Are lost in Times Square Sleep in heavenly peace! Trump will be joining you soon! 4. White Christmas I’m dreaming of a White Owner Just like the owners we’ve known before Where they fire Colin Kaepernick For taking a knee Cause he didn’t like cops shooting black kids in the snow. I’m dreaming of a White Owner With every Christmas card I write. May Colin’s days be merry and bright — And may all you owners take flight. 5. Jared the No-Man  Jared the No-man He brought peace to the Middle East! He brought happiness to all the world And he never even said a peep! Jared the No-man He fixed climate change! With a wink and a nod and a twitch of his eye The entire earth was saved! But then one day his father-in-law called And told him to stay away - Ivanka would now run the world! “Pack your bags, she’s mine today!” Jared the No-man knew he had no choice that day — So he waved goodbye, Saying “don't you cry, I’ll be fine in East LA.!” 6. Joy to the World  Joy to the world! The Trump is impeached! And soon we’ll get Pence too! What will Mitch McConnell do?! What will Stephen Miller do?! Run and hide then go to jail? Run and hide then go to jail? Run and hide then go to jail? Run and hide, run and hide Then go to jail!
