Don't let anyone make your accomplishments feel unimportant just because they've achieved more or less. Going for it
On today's episode of Running Through My Mind, we're talking about going for it. What sounds better to you.. day one, or one day? It can be so hard to take the first step but that's all it is.. the FIRST step! We put a lot of pressure on ourselves to reach our goals but if we focus on literally one day, one activity at a time it seems like nothing. I know everybody here can spend a little time on one thing they love and are passionate about. Even if it's as little as 5 minutes. When you add up 5 minutes every day for a year, that's 1,825 minutes ahead you've gotten and further toward your goal. Don't get too intimidated.. just go for it! Thanks for listening along. Moving forward

It has taken a long time for me to realize that sometimes, things we always wanted in life shift in a way to make room for things we've always needed in life. Just because we aren't succeeding in what we always thought we should be succeeding in doesn't mean we aren't succeeding as a whole. I was so honored to meet Brian last week during his world record 5k (he already held the world record at 16:49) attempt. Brian is a double amputee long distance runner and 6x world record holder and an all around amazing human. Patting yourself on the back
On today's episode of Running Through My Mind, I talk about patting yourself on the back and celebrating your achievements.. whether it's waking up in the morning, getting out of bed, or running a marathon. Anything we do that we're proud of deserves a celebration and it's so important that we are the ones celebrating ourselves. We are given so many gifts that sometimes we don't even realize we are privileged to have. My mind was really all over the place the past few runs so this episode definitely reflects that. It's always easier said than done but changing your focus from playing victim to actively working on the things you are capable of changing can make you see yourself and your life in a whole new perspective.
