LAUREN MAKIN is probably the greatest sibling you could ever ask for – she is someone with the unique ability to be a great spouse, loving mom, devoted daughter, amazing aunt, and a talented professional. She navigates life with her magnetic personality, profound hustle, and unmatched sense of humor. As she has gotten older, I have loved to watch her live life with transparency and grace, loyalty and joy. Our shared childhood was not always easy, we overcame a lot together,  and I have always been grateful to have her by my side– siblings like this are more than sisters – they are remarkable and faithful friends.

During our conversation today, you are going to hear about the importance of community and what it takes to cultivate lasting, meaningful relationships.

Here is my amazing sister Lauren Makin with her lesson “Find Your People” - here we go!

MARLON BLACKWELL is one of the most accomplished and successful Architects I know.

His work has received almost every award and recognition imaginable. His Architecture is elegant, timeless, and rooted in place. However, for me, what makes Marlon special is his profound wisdom and perspective. Our relationship began as a cold call 14 years ago only to evolve into a mentorship and now a friendship. Beyond his immense talent, Marlon is kind, generous, and thoughtful and those may be his greatest gifts.

During our conversation today, you are going to hear a lesson about commitment and dedication, persistence and belief.

Trust me when I say this – you will need a pen and paper for this episode. Marlon is one of the most quotable people I know. When he gets going – it is so good. Without any further delay, here is Marlon Blackwell and his lesson “Whatever it Takes” - here we go!

02:08 - Healing is Continuous

JOEL DANIELS is my former pastor and current Interfaith Chaplain at Claremont University.

I have known Joel since we moved to Boston 11 years ago. Where he jump-started a faith community in Somerville called Reunion. Beyond his spiritual influence, Joel has been someone who continues to see life through a prism. To consider, acknowledge, and understand multiple perspectives at the same time. His greatest strength (beyond his sense of humor) is his ability to articulate and navigate the intersection of mental and spiritual health. His way of living inspires people to live with heightened awareness and consideration, with abundant care and generosity.

During our conversation today, you are going to hear about the importance of healing as a process. Something that inevitably will touch us all.

This conversation is worth your time and attention – grab a pen and paper and let’s see what he can teach us with his lesson “Healing is Continuous” – here we go!

02:07 - Room for Magic

ALLI PETRONE is one of our closest family friends.

She has known us for 11 years and become an integral part of our lives here in Watertown. She is intelligent and determined, driven and adventurous. We are especially fortunate to have her in our daughter’s lives – where she is a role model and a constant source of love and kindness. Alli is simply a wonderful friend who is always ready to think deeply and act generously which is why this conversation will undoubtedly be so special.

During our conversation today, you are going to hear about the importance of creating margin. To leave space for others and for the potential of what an unscheduled life could be.

I think you are going to really enjoy hearing us chat as Alli shares her lesson “Room for Magic”

02:06 - Geniune, Humble, Peaceful.

NICHOLAS RUIZ is an unforgettable person. He is energetic and talented, entrepreneurial, and inspired – most of all he has a wonderful laugh. We grew close during a very formative period of our design careers when we were roommates in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Ever since he continues to impress me with his relentless pursuit of what is good and meaningful. Whether in life or design, Nick's value-based approach is a refreshing way to think about life.

During our conversation today, you are going to hear about the importance of being genuine, pursuing humility, and finding peace. Three sought after human traits that weave together into a beautiful ethos for living. I think you are going to really enjoy hearing us laugh as Nick shares his lesson “Genuine, Humble, Peaceful”

02:05 - Find Your Why / Listen For Signals

TESSA AND TOBIAS HATHORN are a dynamic, authentic, and loving couple that I have been fortunate to know for a long time. Tessa and I went to Architecture school together 22 years ago – yikes. But since that time we have grown incredibly close balancing life, kids, and work despite our current geographic distance. Her husband Tobias came along later and was the best spouse-friend you could ever ask for - funny, creative, and talented!

When you meet people like Tessa and Tobias you are inspired to do two things – make something and make yourself better. These are two of the most creative and beautiful people you could ever meet, and they happen to be married. They are basically good at everything - including life. We have known each other for 20+ years and when you know someone that long you remain friends on purpose. Tessa is a brilliant Architect, Musician, and Seamstress – thoughtful and thorough, courageous and kind. Tobias is a Product designer and Artist – he is engaging and energetic, dynamic and driven.

During our conversation today you are going to hear about the importance of purpose, reflection, and listening. And how two seemingly disparate lessons overlap and make a beautiful connection.

I think you are going to love hearing from these two as they teach us a two-part lesson “Find your Why” and “Listen for Signals”

Let’s see what he can teach us – here we go!

02:04 - I Don't Know

02:04 - I Don't Know

JOSHUA PEDERSON is one of the most intelligent and kind people I know. I met Joshua 4 years ago while dropping our kids off at the same daycare. Then created a wonderful connection during Pre-K registration – waiting outside on an early January morning. Since that time our friendship has grown and flourished based on a deep love of teaching, books, writing, and karaoke. If you don't know Joshua well this is what I can tell you...

Joshua is a tenured professor, a thoughtful writer, and a wonderful father. He is intelligent and caring, humble and generous. Perhaps it is our midwestern roots that have created such a strong friendship or maybe just our shared belief that life should be meaningful and fulfilling. Conversations with him resonate – they are profound and personal traversing all of life’s mysteries and complexities.

During our conversation today you are going to hear about the importance of humility and how we might live more intentionally with others in mind.

I think you will really enjoy this authentic and honest conversation with Joshua Pederson and his lesson “I don’t know.”

02:03 - Live Life Backwards

02:03 - Live Life Backwards

JOSH BLANCHARD is the bravest person I know. We met him and his wife Christy back in 2015 and I found an instant connection through our love of BBQ, the Chiefs, and Chevelle. More recently Josh and his family moved to DC and we always look forward to his periodic visits back. Which leads us to this special in-person episode. If you don’t know Josh here’s what I can tell you…

Josh is one of those people who would do anything for those around him. He encourages and challenges you with how he lives his life. His military past has given him a global perspective that would take most people a lifetime to gather. He is someone who inspires you a better person. His quiet confidence, outstanding leadership, and deep humility are traits that are seldom found in one person. This unique combination is something that has always drawn me to his wisdom and his company.

During our conversation today you are going to hear about the importance of values and the questions we should ask to live with more intention and purpose. I think you will really enjoy this engaging discussion and the questions that he left us with – here is that conversation with Josh Blanchard and his lesson “Live Life Backwards”.

02:02 - Embrace Every Season

02:02 - Embrace Every Season

NATASHA LARSEN and her husband Gershon have been friends of ours since2012. We found an immediate kinship over serving others and meeting over coffee at extraordinarily early hours. Since that time, she has become a constant source of joy and encouragement our lives.

When you meet Natasha you never forget her. She is intensely kind and full of joy. Her smile will light up a room and somehow encourage you at the same time. Nothing seems out of reach after you have been lifted up by a conversation with her.

Her voice is jubilant and full of life. Her presence is peaceful and wise. She is known for her relationships and how she makes others feel. In a way, her sense of optimism is infectious, like her laugh or love of Hallmark movies – all of which make her particularly memorable.

Natasha is a friend whom you meet after a long time and feels like time never passed.

During our conversation today you are going to hear a lot about the power of seasons and why life is better experienced in this way. Her story will simply amaze you – they have overcome so much with unexpected joy and intention.  So let’s get to my conversation with my dear friend Natasha Larsen – and her lesson “Embrace Every Season”.

Let’s see what she can teach us – here we go!

02:01 - Let It Go

02:01 - Let It Go

HEATHER NICHOLS is in some ways the perfect person to start Season 2 - she may be one of the wisest people I know. We met during a financial planning course in 2014 and immediately hit if off when we realized we were both “struggling” to not charge anything as we hung out for drinks after each class. Since that time, she has become one of my wife’s closest friends and I like to think I am not far behind. We have packed a lot of life experiences into 8 years of knowing each other – Sunday meals, laughing together, traversing difficulties, sharing holidays, raising kids, and growing as people.

When you meet Heather you notice something beyond her midwestern hospitality. Her strength is quiet and her voice is confident. Her spirit is calm and wise. Her love and support of her family and friends is perhaps her greatest gift. She is generous beyond measure.

Heather sees things with great perspective and immense purpose. She is a friend whom you measure all others against – she is there for you no matter what.

During our conversation today you are going to hear a lot about defining your beliefs and values and establishing what is truly important. This conversation has been resonating with me since we had it.

Heather is someone who provides equal parts hospitality and charcuterie – banter and laughter – fine wine and fine conversation. This is a person who makes you comfortable and then challenges you to make you better. So let’s kick off Season 2 with my conversation with my dear friend Heather Nichols – and her lesson “Let it Go”.

Let’s see what she can teach us – here we go!

Season 2 Trailer

Season 2 Trailer

It has been a minute!

We have taken about 18 months off to collectively take a breath and work through all those Covid variants – Delta, Omicron, and whatever is happening now. But there does seem to be a renewed optimism as we transition to the fall and back to school. New York City just lifted its subway mask mandate and our children don’t have to wear masks in schools anymore. It seems we can now re-emerge into our new normal world with fresh eyes and renewed perspective. The timing seems right for more wisdom and more lessons.

Since we last connected a lot has happened – you and I have changed more than we probably recognize. We are growing and improving more and more all the time. Better at being a spouse, or a parent. Better at being a colleague or friend. We are certainly learning lessons from these past 2.5 years that will stay with us for a lifetime.

I recently heard my pastor say that wisdom is knowledge applied, skills for living well. A simple, yet stunning definition of wisdom that has become imprinted on me. I have been challenged and inspired by this idea of applying knowledge to life. The experiences we all have become wisdom when we learn from them. And when we let our greatest difficulties, obstacles, and losses become our greatest educators – it is then that we start to see as my friend Lindy might say - life as abundance and not scarcity.

Richard Rohr is a Franciscan Friar who leads the Center for Contemplative Action in New Mexico is one of the deepest thinkers I know when it comes to wisdom. In Rohr’s book Falling Upwards, he shares an insight from Carl Jung that life comes in two halves. When I read this I was so overwhelmed by the idea I literally had to put the book down and go outside. Because the idea simply floored me. I will paraphrase here, but in short it goes like this…

Life comes in two halves. The first half is about building a container – everything we achieve, accumulate, assemble and add to our lives in order to build a beautiful, identifiable, and durable container.

The second half of life begins when we understand what it is we are to put in it.

Beyond container building, but knowing what to pour out and what to pour into our collective containers. And I believe a lot of that is the collective wisdom – the skills for living well. This season we will have 10 new episodes that will come out like paychecks – every two weeks. So you have a week to process and think about the lesson that someone has taken a lifetime to learn – only seems appropriate.

So again, I hope you will join us on the journey. Tell a friend, I hope you will subscribe and rate and review the podcast on Apple or wherever you listen to podcasts.

I hope you will listen to all 10 episodes because this is what I know - this season will challenge and inspire, and these conversations will shape us and grow us. Our perspectives will expand and our hearts will be full.

This is where knowledge is applied.

This is where we learn skills for living well.

An inventory of wisdom.

This is Season 2 of the Everything is Lessons Podcast.

01:10 - You are Enough

KELLY KURLBAUM is this week’s special guest, someone who knows me better than anyone else – my faithful friend and amazing wife.

I have known Kelly for 19 years and been married to her for 13. We have two amazing girls Rowan and Leyton who make us the family I have always hoped for. Kelly and I moved to Boston in 2011 for a two year graduate school run, but ending up loving it here and we never left.

Kelly inspires those around her with her sage advice, honest perspective, and beautiful vulnerability which fills her words with meaning and love. She not only manages multiple complex projects for her work, but manages to find better balance than most people I know. Family and work compete for her attention, but she never let’s them intersect. One is always in focus while the other is out of frame.

Kelly is someone who astonishes you with how she lives. She has shown me that wisdom moves beyond words, and becomes a wisdom that is lived – in her actions and how she engages the world. Kelly is someone who cares as deeply as she loves. And someone who people are drawn to because of her approach, her belief, and her perspective. She is the friend we all wish we had the one I am thankful to call my wife.

Here is Kelly Kurlbaum and her lesson – You Are Enough.

Let’s see what she can teach us. – HERE WE GO.

01:09 - Ask For Help / Lend A Hand

TYLER AND ALYSSA THOMPSON are two very special guests that inaugurate our first ever couple show.

Alyssa is a dear friend who is thoughtful, funny, loving, and driven.

Tyler is (just as funny and) an avid Carolina fan, a Virginia Tech Alum, a talented Architect, a father, and a stroke survivor.

I have known these two since we moved to Boston in 2011. For almost ten years we have become like family to one another. Of course, we have a lot in common – all great friends do – we love pop music and dancing, laughing, British accents, and endless sarcasm. The Thompson’s are a couple that you meet and want to hang out with the next night. These are simply good people with strong hearts and a hopeful spirits.

In January of 2019, Tyler and Alyssa went to run a morning errand when Tyler suffered a massive stroke. For a time, we were not sure if Tyler would make it - it was that serious. For weeks, Tyler fought and fought – endless days and nights in hospitals and rehab. But the most amazing thing happened during this time. A groundswell of people came around them with love, support, generosity and encouragement unlike I have ever seen. Former NBA players, College coaches, Friends, Relatives, Friends of friends of friends of friends all came together to raise money that would begin to offset Tyler’s lost salary. A beautiful act of humanity.

Of course that is not the end of their story – really only the new beginning. Tyler and Alyssa live with their son Arlo in Waltham, MA. They have found their new life together to be a series of continuous adjustments, however Tyler’s recovery and Alyssa’s strength continue to remind us all that with a powerful community anything is possible. There are certainly hard days and difficulties, but Tyler and Alyssa continue to flourish and find hope and belief not only because they are courageous and brave, but because of the support of their neighbors, family, and friends around them.

Here is Tyler and Alyssa Thompson and their lessons

PASTOR STEPHEN NYAKAIRU is a Faith Leader, Community Activist, a Volunteer, and an Advocate.

I have known Stephen for a few years now and have developed a deep kinship over our love of the Enneagram, reading, and podcasts. He also happens to be our Location Pastor for Grace Chapel in Watertown. His story, life, and mission will inevitably inspire you to loving and caring for others. He inspires action and growth, values and purpose.

Pastor Stephen is someone who calls you consistently and cares for you abundantly. He is generous with his time and always brings a considerate and grace-filled spirit to every encounter. He has always struck me as someone who loves life and that despite any hardship or struggle he find optimism and energy to love others. He is present regardless of circumstance and shares his life with others - as a way to inspire faith, hope, and love in everyone he meets.

Pastor Stephen finds meaning and significance in all things – everything matters to him. What makes him most compelling to me is that he practices what he preaches. He lives wide open, making a way for people of all backgrounds to find a renewed sense of hope in faith.

Stephen believes in the power of community and they believe in him - his congregation relies on his unmistakable presence, his unquestionable devotion, and his immense desire for all people to know God’s love.

Here is Pastor Stephen Nyakairu and his lesson, Love one Another, let’s see what he can teach us. -  HERE WE GO.

01:07 - Dream Borderless Action

GUSTAVO RAMIREZ is an Architect, an Adventurer, an Activator.

I have known Gustavo since our Architecture school days at Kansas State where he and my wife were in the same graduating class. Since that time we have continued to cross paths in New York and now when he visits in Boston.

Gustavo is generous, thoughtful, and talented – full of wisdom beyond his years informed by the places that have shaped him from his native Mexico to study abroad in Italy and his travels around the world.

Gustavo is a person who lives life with meaning and purpose and intention. What makes him most compelling to me is that we all have dreams about how we hope life will go, but then Gustavo does something crazy – he actually does them.

This spirit of ambition and adventure has taken him all over the world and equipped him with enduring wisdom and quiet confidence. This becomes evident in every correspondence and every conversation.

Simply put, Gustavo is not a person who leaves much to chance, he lives a life full of dreams that have already been lived.

Here is Gustavo Ramirez and his lesson, Dream Borderless Action, let’s see what he can teach us. -  HERE WE GO.

MICAH WHITSON is a modern-day renaissance man. We have known he and his wife Marianna since we moved to Boston in 2011. We have grown together and raised our kids side by side. Micah is someone with immense creativity and dedication – his talent inspires, and his work connects. Each project demonstrates a passion for craft and love of place. Micah’s creative direction has led him through advertising, graphic design, and healthcare. He and his wife founded the Old Try in 2011 with the ambition to connect people to their southern roots through letterpress prints. He is someone who works a full-time job and then works a full time job. Simply put, whatever he touches reveals a hidden potential, its truest form.

In 2020, in the midst of a pandemic Micah took on yet another challenge – the MS State Flag design. Where his “Great River Flag” was so successful that he co-authored the final version. Yet another accolade for a person who lives beyond acclaim or recognition – he works hard because that’s what he knows best. A great person, father, and friend. Here is Micah Whitson and his lesson, "Guard your time", let’s see what he can teach us. Here we go.

LINDY PARKER VEGA is a brilliant writer who loves books. We met her and her husband Javy through our church and immediately found that Kelly and I adored them.  Today Lindy has a job where she writes, read things, and talks about them…a seemingly perfect fit. She lives with her husband Javy and their son Kobe in Sayulita, Mexico and run a restaurant called Alquismista.

Lindy’s story is one of endurance and patience, gratitude and slowness. When you read her writing you will find yourself immersed completely in the stories she tells. She describes her characters with personas which she takes on – "characters that defy first impressions and easy definitions, characters who are funny and smart and unsure, characters who have the audacity to want things, characters who push walls that need to come down."

Lindy is an immensely wise person. Life has made her that way. Her intellectual formation is not easy to see at first or simple to define – just like the characters she wishes to construct. However, one conversation with her and you know you are in the presence of someone who understands life and knows it well. Lindy seems to extract the marrow out of every circumstance a emerge a more confident person with durable joy.”

01:04 - Empty Your Tank

01:04 - Empty Your Tank

JOE BIONDO is one of my former teachers – a great architect and mentor who I now can call a friend. Joe is joining us to talk about his lesson “Empty Your Tank”.

I met Joe as a 4th year architecture student. He was my professor. At the time, I knew very little about his background or his amazing talent to teach and inspire, design and mentor. I suppose the best teachers are usually like that – their most profound lessons happen long after the course has ended. Somehow during our short time together, Joe impressed an idea about Architecture that was interwoven with something much deeper. Joe talked about Architecture and life interchangeably - as if to cultivate a passion within us to give our best to the world.

After that studio, Joe continued to build beautiful buildings across a Post-Industrial Pennsylvania landscape. And I began to trace his footsteps in my own career – working at Bohlin Cywinski Jackson the same place he started over a decade before. Joe practices in Bethlehem PA - a place defined by its industrial history and legacy of its namesake Steel company. His built work as a sole practitioner is a collection of handsome, timeless, well-crafted, and site-specific works – each with their own story and material narrative. In 2009, he completed perhaps his more enduring and profound work – his own home called the “house of equanimity”. A multi-year project concluded with a dwelling so magnificent that it was given its own monograph in 2018.

Joe is someone who is gifted beyond measure but would never let you know it. He is kind and generous, thoughtful and determined.

Beyond his amazing ability to design, is his insatiable wisdom, something that continues resonate with me. I will never forget the day he asked our class “how do you want to be remembered?” A question that still rattles around in my soul.

Joe has a way of leading you down the right path, but seldom giving you the answer. I guess that is the genius of the sage – showing you where the water is, but knowing you have to make the journey to drink it.”

Joe has become a dear friend and mentor and we are very thankful to have him with us today.

01:03 - Wear Elastic Waistbands

01:03 - Wear Elastic Waistbands

QUINN NEIDIG is a very special friend of mine joining us to talk about her lesson “Wear Elastic Waistbands” – before you think this is about Pandemic Fashion trends – please listen to the beautiful metaphor unfold – about acceptance and the beauty of vulnerability

This is a very special show.

My wife and I met Quinn and her husband Joe  11 years ago in New York City diner. We attended the same church and cemented our friendship over a mid summer brunch in Union Square. We quickly found many similar interests and friends that we would share our lives with to this day.

We have been each other’s family.

Quinn is a High School Spanish teacher in the NYC Department of Education. Her investment into countless students over the past 10+ years has shown a relentless passion and an unyielding belief in each and every student she teaches.

In July of 2019, an unspeakable tragedy struck her family which is beyond any parents’ worst nightmare. Her son Marshall had a seizure in his sleep and died of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) – he had just turned two years old.

She shares her grief writing and often hashtags “normalize grief” as a way to make unspeakable loss, speak-able again. To give the grieving a voice in a world of carefully curated Social Media feeds.

During Marshall’s eulogy I asked “he may have been so young, but didn’t he teach us so much?”

Like her son, Quinn is someone who has something to teach all of us.

Someone who cares deeply for her family, her friends and her students

She is a person of endless grace, profound courage, and unimaginable wisdom.

Her grief writing and vulnerability will surely be her greatest legacy. A purpose she may not have never imagined.

She is simply the friend we all wish we had.

01:02 - Intention requires rigor

01:02 - Intention requires rigor

JILL SORNSON KURTZ has been a friend of mine for 21 years and someone whom I admire very much. Jill has a beautiful family and finds tremendous success in her career, but that is not what is most impressive – it’s how she finds balance in everything she does. I have seen Jill reinvent and recalibrate and rebrand herself over and over again. Each time a better, more informed, more focused, more driven version of herself. In addition to her amazing commitment to self-development she is a deeply caring person. She has been shaped by her missions work in the mountains of India and study in a seminary in Los Angeles, and now is a firm leader and national advocate for the environment studying how Architecture can be both high performing and resilient.

Jill and I went to the same undergrad at Kansas State where we developed an enduring friendship based on faith, belief, and the importance of deep conversation. Some of my most formative moments have come from her well of wisdom and insight. Her husband Preston is a brilliant engineer, strategist, and business leader. They have two lovely children who will most likely also be incredible people.

Jill is a wonderful writer, a deep thinker.

Someone who has endless courage and belief.

She impresses by how she expresses.

With empathy and leadership, generosity, and love.

She is someone that you meet and never forget.

I am so grateful to share life with her and her family. We live far apart now, but this podcast is an opportunity for her to share her lesson and wisdom with you.

Here is JILL SORNSON KURTZ and her lesson “Intention requires rigor”

01:01 - Set the bar

01:01 - Set the bar

IAN SCHERLING is one of my very best friends, in whom I have tremendous admiration. He’s the type of person who makes everyone feel important and listened to and cared for. We have a lot in common and when we first met it seemed we had already known each other for years. We went to the same undergrad and studied in the same building. We have been shaped be iconic Designers in our respective fields. We love to draw, text each other songs and talk about life. In some ways He is a gentle soul, sage in wisdom and seasoned beyond his years. Beyond his immense professional contributions, he and his wife have been cornerstones of a DR missions’ program and leads a “Grief share” Support and Recovery group for those who have lost someone very dear to them. His compassion is clear.

He loves Wendell Berry, bespoke coffee, and Filipino cooking.

He loves soft pencils, neat Bourbon, and a great song.

If you ever hear him sing you will think you’ve heard an angel, and that’s just something he does on Sundays.

The wealth of talent and ability and kindness is almost too much to imagine for one person. I am so grateful to share life with him and his family. We live in the same town and are raising our family’s side by side – at least six feet apart. So it is inevitable that someone who inspires, encourages, and pushes me to exceed my potential as an Architect, a Father, and a Husband should start us off.

Here is Ian Scherling the first guest on the EIL podcast – and his lesson “set the bar”

Everything is Lessons - Trailer

Everything is Lessons - Trailer

My name is Ryan Kurlbaum – I am an architect, a father, and a husband who loves to design, to teach and who loves wisdom. Perhaps now in these turbulent times – a global pandemic, a political insurrection, racial reconciliation. One could argue that wisdom could be our most valuable and unrealized asset.

Truth is I have always been fascinated by the wise – the people who have lived life well and shared their stories, knowledge, understanding – their wisdom with others. Perhaps this fascination began when I first read about Soloman who had everything and asks God for wisdom and God says he is pleased with his request. Or maybe its more recently when I came across the TS Eliot quote – “everyone gets the experience, but not everyone gets the lesson.” When I read that, it led to a fundamental reconsideration of hardship, of struggle, of pain. What if in fact these moments were not meant to harm, but to teach. What if Everything was a Lesson?

So for 2 and half years I have been collecting lessons. But they had to be different – not long, not essays, something memorable. Then I came across the famous tale of Ernest Hemingway at a bar. Supposedly, he is surrounded by his friends and they challenge him to write a compelling story with the fewest words possible. He puts down his glass and says “For Sale, Baby Shoes, Never worn”. And with that his bar tab is paid and he gets another round.

There is something about the brevity of that story – that I found fascinating. What if I could turn these lessons into 3 word prompts – something short, memorable, and meaningful. So for these past 2 years I have hundreds of 3 word prompts and I have decided to share the list with a range of people I find to be incredibly wise and inspiring to act as a catalyst for a deeper conversation about a lesson they have found in their own life.

I hope you will join us on this adventure to collect an inventory of wisdom and perhaps inspire you to look at your life in a different way. All of these lessons that you learn are really meaningful, really important. How would this thinking influence how you view success, family, ambition, love, and others? How would your life change if everything was a lesson?

This is the Everything is Lessons podcast.
