Hello everyone, welcome back to Ryan Reviews! This week Ryan goes over Wedding Season, a romance movie, where it's feel good, and the characters are actually likable people. Ryan goes into how the main characters feel real, where it isn't a hate to love plot line, but more about how it's their journey of getting to know each other, and it's slow and gradual, but in all wholesome. Ryan also talks about how the movie also balances the character professional arcs, with their personal/love arcs, where the two intertwine in each of their arcs.

This week Ryan goes over Plus One, another romance movie, where the main characters have actual problems, but they're never dissected throughout the movie. Ryan goes into how the main characters should not be together since they have their own issues, where they hurt each other, and they get back together, which doesn't feel realistic to the story, since it's mostly grounded. Ryan also talks about how the movie is from one of the main characters perspective, almost disregarding the other character, as it takes some thought to see what she's dealing with sometimes.  

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ryan Reviews! This week Ryan goes over All Of My Friends Hate Me, a horror comedy about adult friendships, gaslighting, and horrible friends. Ryan goes into how there's diverting ideas about what the plot is about, whether it's the main character's anxiety, or if his friends are horrible people, which looking back at the movie, it's a very interesting discussion to have, however Ryan falls on the latter side of the argument. Ryan also talks about how the friends are just terrible people, which it seems to help set up the theme that the main character can't take a joke, but the jokes don't feel like jokes, and half the time where the main character is insulted, there's no punch line, or level of jokingness, which makes it more confusing, but also just as interesting.

Ryan goes into how the movie displays how there are people going through mental health issues, while also staring the fake wokiness that came from that. Ryan also talks about how the movie has a mix of dated and pop culture references throughout the movie which is perfect to show how Danni is behind the current trends of the world.

This week Ryan goes over The Gray Man, a high action movie that does sacrifice it's emotional narrative for more thrills, which isn't to say its bad, just don't expect anything emotional from this. Ryan goes into how the movie's action sequences are beautifully shot, with the cinematography on the next level. Ryan also talks about how the movie doesn't have that many emotional pieces in the movie, although it seems like that would have not happen, as this was marketed as an action flick, and that's exactly what it was. 

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ryan Reviews! This week Ryan goes over The Bob's Burgers Movie, a spin-off/continuation of Bob's Burgers, which will lead into the 22nd season of the show. Ryan goes into how the movie keeps the same energy that every Bob's Burgers episode, where it keeps it's light tone even when it gets a little dark. Ryan also talks about how the movie's production value is just on the next level from the animation to the songs (yes, it's a musical) to the sharp dialogue where it will leave you cackling. 

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ryan Reviews! This week Ryan goes over Escape Room: Tournament of Champions, a sequel to a movie about a group of people trying to do a deadly escape room. Ryan goes into how the movie just tries to pad its time, where there isn't that much material to deal with, and there is a lot of clunky exposition, with the way the characters are all brought together in a lazy way. Ryan also talks about how the twist at the end helps make the rooms make sense, and the way the rooms were designed were spectacularly done.

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ryan Reviews! This week Ryan goes over Father of the Bride, a self explanatory movie, where it deals with love and marriage in a very mature and realistic way. Ryan goes into how the movie deals with the clash between traditionalism verses modernism, as well as the idea of family, and how to connect with them. Ryan also talks about how one of the sisters in the family, is coded as queer, which is good, because her queerness isn't her main trait, but it's also like she's coded, instead of openly and actively queer.

This week Ryan goes over Scream (2022), a great meta horror comedy movie, which was able to stand on its own, while still referencing the Scream franchise. Ryan goes into how the movie does though have pointless characters who just get killed off, and how it creates some dead weight with the movie. Ryan also talks about how the movie's important characters are dynamic, and so fun to watch, where they keep the fun and thrill of the movie up to 100.

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ryan Reviews! This week Ryan goes over The Princess, a movie that feels like all the cut scenes of a video game, as people on the internet say. Ryan goes into how the The Princess might be a lesbian icon, because it seemed that her friend, Linh might be her girlfriend. Ryan also talks about the people we should be giving more praise, which this movie really exemplifies is stunt coordinators and stunt actors.

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ryan Reviews! This week Ryan goes over Lightyear, the new Pixar movie that if Ryan was a 90s kid, he would buy a Buzz Lightyear action figure. Ryan goes into how the movie has some actual good queer representation, where the character's sexuality is part of her identity, but thankfully not all of her identity. Ryan also talks about the movie's twist, and it doesn't really explain the twist, which was really annoying, because it really should have explained itself, because it deals with different timelines. 

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ryan Reviews! This week Ryan goes over Spiderhead, a movie based on a New York Times short story, that would have worked better a limited series. Ryan goes into how the movie doesn't give us enough time to get emotionally invested in the characters, nor neither enough time to get enough information to formulate a guess about the film. Ryan also talks about how the movie's plot twists aren't that surprising, except one, but it's super absurd, which is what the movie needed more of.

This week Ryan goes over Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, another installment into the MCU, which sadly didn't as much madness, as one might think. Ryan goes into how even though the movie is a bit mid with the madness, the character writing was top notch, where it seemed to pave a way to more female fronted MCU media. Ryan also talks about how the movie doesn't really explain that many things, and the thing that are explained, they're not that imaginative.

Ryan goes into how even though the movie does bring up some good issues in the fashion and entertainment industry, it doesn't delve too deep into it, which it felt like it should. Ryan also talks about the problematic nature of certain characters in the film, which wasn't good, because they are one of the main characters.

This week Ryan goes over Tangerine, a hidden gem about friendship, through the eyes of two transgender women of color, where they feel so much more than characters. Ryan goes into how the friendship is center stage of the story, which makes the women stronger characters, because it focuses on how they bounce off each other. Ryan also talks about how the movie's writer/director really honored the characters, even though seeming to not having any shared experiences with the characters.

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ryan Reviews! This week Ryan goes over The Half Of It, a queer friendship story about love in platonic and romantic ways. Ryan goes into how the movie makes the friendship the center stage event throughout the movie, which makes the movie extremely enjoyable, because it feels fully unique. Ryan also talks about how the movie deals with a lot of queer issues through the main character, and her love interest, and how it is hard for the two women to be together in a small town, where Catholicism is quite big, which feels like many can relate to that feeling.

Ryan goes into how the movie has so many twists and turns, where it's jerking you in every direction, but explaining itself along the way. Ryan also talks about how there's a lot of scenes where you might have to look away as it does lean into it's horror elements, where you might be horrified with what you see.

Ryan goes into how even though the movie doesn't have the complexity it needs for some topics, it does bring some new and important topics to light. Ryan also talks about how the movie does fall into some tropes with gay movies, which does hurt it a bit.

This week Ryan goes over 4th Man Out, a comedy movie, that brings together dude bro themes, as well as coming out themes, focusing more on platonic friendships over relationships. Ryan goes into how the movie explores topics of dating as a gay man in a small town, which is insight on the real world, and commenting on movie logic. Ryan also talks about how the movie feels relatable with coming out sequences in the movie, where it can feel cathartic.

Ryan goes into how even though the movie employs an enemies to lovers trope so well, which pulled you in, and felt healthy. Ryan also talks about how the movie presents a lot of things that usually gets judgment in other movies, which makes this movie great where, they don't push judgement onto characters, celebrating the differences in people.

Ryan goes into how even though the movie is contained in one of the character's apartment, the drama is palpable, and the dialogue is cutting. Ryan also talks about how the movie has lots of discussions about interesting topics in the gay community, which still have relevance to this gay within the gay community. 

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ryan Reviews! This week Ryan goes over Old, a supposed to be psychological horror movie, but it was really a comedy triller semi-horror movie. Ryan goes into how the dialogue felt on the nose, and expository throughout the whole movie, where it gets so annoying that it's funny. Ryan also talks about how the movie has lots of horror aspects in this movie though, that are pretty dark, and disturbing, but it just feeds into the absurdism.

Ryan goes into how the movie half focused on the love relationship between the main character, and her love interest, and the main character and her friendships with her friends. Ryan also talks about how in the movie has some excellently written scenes, where it really does come from a 17 year old perspective.

Ryan goes into how the movie has lots of comedy throughout the movie, where it will leave you cackling on the floor, proving that there isn't a death to comedy movies. Ryan also talks about how in the movie has a tight plot with multiple plots happening at once, where they all effect each other, making it a fast paced film. 

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ryan Reviews! This week Ryan goes over Senior Year, a movie that is a generational divide movie, that can be gut busting, but also being super cringy. Ryan goes into how the movie from the beginning, has some of the cringiest dialogue for the Gen Zero, while also having unintentional good connections to Gen Z life. Ryan also talks about how in the movie the main character is mentally 17 while dating a 37 year old, which was a little weird, and were sometimes where nuance was dropped from the film when it needed it the most.

Ryan goes into how the movie somehow rationalizes the parents horrible treatment towards their kids, and their peers. Ryan also talks about how the movie feels cliched in a sense with all the tropes they have.

Ryan goes into how the movie from the beginning, there's an unsettling score, that gives you uneasy feeling. Ryan also talks about how the movie deploys this one trope that drags the movie down a bit, which can turn some viewers away from film.

Ryan goes into how the movie has two big producers attached, who have made som greatest hits in the animated movie field, so you know you're going into a great movie. Ryan also talks about how the movie balances an emotional story, while still being funny, and actually funny to people of all ages.

Ryan goes into how the movie really makes it obvious that this movie is for the gays as well, by casting lgbtq+ actors. Ryan also talks about how the movie protagonist is at sometimes a little too quirky, like she's kinda trying too hard, but it's fine, because she gets better as the movie goes on.

This week Ryan goes over White Hot: The Rise & Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch, an informative non narrative documentary covering all the scandals that Abercrombie & Fitch has faced over the years. Ryan goes into how the movie details each scandal that Abercrombie & Fitch faced while showing the repercussions or the lack thereof. Ryan also talks about how since the movie covers so many scandals over about a decade or two, it should have been a limited series documentary with each episode focusing on a scandal that Abercrombie & Fitch faced, allowing for a deeper dive into it.

Ryan goes into how the movie does have one good thing going for it, and that's the way it uses it's coloring in this movie. Ryan also talks about the movie does like to lean into the sexy vampire trope a little too hard with too many references to sex with how they talk about killing people, and drinking their blood.

This is not a review, but just a talk about how awesome this movie is.  Ryan goes into how the the acting, lighting, makeup, costuming, and cinematography are astounding. Ryan goes into how the movie gives lots of depth to scenes that we feel we've seen a good amount of times, making them feel real and important. Ryan also talks about the movie does sometimes drop the ball when it comes to fleshing out side characters.

This week Ryan goes over A Nice Girl Like You, since he's on a Lucy Hale movie binge, a movie that is supposed to be a dive into sex and sexuality, but falls flat. Ryan goes into how the movie's theme feels narrow, only bolded by the fact that at the beginning of the movie, the main character is insufferable, and doesn't really change. Ryan also talks about how the love interest of the movie is kinda garbage compared to the ex boyfriend character.

Ryan goes into how the movie's main characters are sometimes just dumb, and it can be hard to watch them. Ryan also talks about how even though there are some egregious parts, there are also a good amount of great parts in the movie with some other characters, and smart ideas brought up.

Ryan goes into how the movie shows how the main character isn't always right, which is good, because that shows how she isn't perfect. Ryan also talks about how the music in the movie is actually enjoyable, and all the singing in the movie is excellently done, and all enjoyable to listen to, and it doesn't feel like a musical movie.

Ryan goes into how the movie does a great job in immersing the watcher into the movie through inventive ways that give the movie its signature style. Ryan also talks about how the movie has a twist ending, and even though Ryan doesn't like how it is set up well, he doesn't like how depressing the movie is.

Ryan goes into how the movie does have a great will they, won't they, but not in a good good way, but more of how it seems like the characters coming together feels right out of left field. Ryan also talks about how the movie almost explores the complex ideas of marriage, kids, and parenting, but then turns away to move onto the next topic, so you don't have to think about it too long.

Ryan goes into how the movie tries to be deep and complex, but it's not, it's just dark, without explanation. Ryan also talks about how the movie does have a lot of familiar faces in this movie, which is a brief of fresh air in a dark movie.

Ryan goes into how the movie does make characters well rounded, through having them talk about heartbreaks in their life, and all types of heartbreak. Ryan also talks about how the movie has another new gay stereotype: The slutty lesbian, and how it's annoying to see in films.

Ryan goes into how the movie's linear structure makes it easy to follow, with all the information that is thrown at you. Ryan also talks about how the movie focuses on the women, and doesn't try to make Simon some redeemed villain or whatever.

Ryan goes into how the movie doesn't make the main characters likable at all, and they're all annoying and aggravating, and whiney. Ryan also talks about how the only good characters are the side character adults, and how they give good advice, and are really enjoyable to watch.

Ryan also talks about how the movie actually does a great job with the jazz aspect of the movie, with the characters actually playing the instruments.
