Helghardt Avenant, CEO of Stellar-backed REHIVE #BAC19
Helghardt Avenant is an incredible young man. Helghardt started his Tech journey as an Industrial Engineering student at the University of Stellenbosch, where he began experimenting with Bitcoin wallet designs. This led him to pitching his product to VCs in San Francisco, which caught the attention of Tim Draper, Jesse Powell & Jed McCaleb - and he & his team attracted significant investment. Helghardt and his team then got building on "REHIVE", a white-label software development platform for the FinTech industry. Think "Shopify for FinTech". This interview will inspire you! BTC Holding, ETH, BNB & XLM Analysis: Market Analysis E11
In Episode 11 of Market Analysis, we look at why Graeme didn't buy BTC at $8000 (it bounced off resistance hard), and then look at the bullish charts of Ether (ETH) and Stellar Lumens (XLM) - as well as a look at Binance Coin (BNB), despite it not looking as bullish as the others.  Remember, if Bitcoin pumps, the altcoin markets will be a "no trade zone" until BTC stabilises. But while Bitcoin remains below $8100, the altcoin markets are looking interesting. Follow Graeme, and SA Crypto, on Twitter and Facebook. Newsletter 21: The Binance Hack | Spotting A Bull | The Facebook Coin
The Binance Hack This week’s world-shaking news, of course, centres around the Binance Hack. 7070 BTC was withdrawn, amounting to more than $40 million during a complex hack that involved stealing 2-factor authentication codes and API keys. During a live Twitter AMA, Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao, addressed the increasingly concerned crypto community, and assured everyone that emergency measures were in place. CoinTelegraph featured this story https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-ceo-addresses- concerns-live-after-40-mln-btc-hack-rejects-blockchain-reorg-idea BTC Busts Out Hacks aside, it’s been a great week for BTC, as bullish developments led it towards breaking that famed $6000 threshold. And, as of Thursday this week, that beautiful moment we’ve all been waiting for happened. Botswana's "Bitcoin Lady", talks about Bitcoin in Africa - #BAC19
Alakanani Itireleng is a remarkable woman. Her son fell ill a few years ago, and on a teacher's salary, getting adequate treatment was immensely difficult. She began experimenting with the world's first borderless digital currency: Bitcoin, in order to raise the money needed to treat her son. Alakanani was blown away by the technological marvel that Bitcoin was, and devoted her life to educating others about it. Being a teacher, she established the "Satoshi Centre" in her home town in Botswana back in 2014, and has become a leading authority on the technology here in Africa. James caught up with her at Blockchain Africa, Jo'burg, 2019.
