And that's how we meet our four new characters: Taburo, who wants to pass because he's haunted by his doppelgänger. Piitan, who wants to pass because his colleagues built a robot replica of him that they prefer over him. Barrachi, who wants to pass because her mirror self wills her death and because of a birthmark over her face. And lastly, Maruso, who wants to pass because she fears something terrible will happen to her. After going to the middle of the woods with her new companions, Maruso notices that something is off with at least two of her new friends. Off enough to delay the suicide pact and try to figure out what's going on. In this episode, it's time for the five finger death punch! Juri & Ruka's training continues, and Juri gears up for her second duel against Utena. But upon preparing for the duel, Juri overhears Ruka talking to Touga, and it's revealed that Ruka didn't exactly set up the duel for the same reasons that he told Juri. Feeling betrayed, Juri goes to the dueler's field to fight Utena, leading to a twist of results, and the reason why Ruka manipulated Juri is revealed to everyone.

In this episode, it's all about Juri! This filler chapter takes place before the proper end of Utena, but right after Juri & Utena have their duel. Devastated by her defeat, Juri isn't showing up for classes or the fencing team, and with her being captain, that's an issue. Miki tries to get her out of bed yet again, but this time for a good reason: there's someone practicing with the fencing team claiming they're taking over as a captain! Juri runs to the fencing team practice only to learn that the mysterious man is actually her former mentor and upperclassman, Ruka Tsuchiya. In this episode, the pants need to breathe! Picking up from last time, Touga intervenes during Saionji and Utena's elevator battle, and ends up getting seriously hurt in the process. Because Touga is out of commission, Utena meets the other two Student Council members, Juri & Miki. Juri is really abrasive towards her, but Miki seems to be the only sensible one out of the bunch.
