Our first episode where the three of us are all in the same place at the same time, rather than scattered across the country! We talk about the deaths of Tina Turner and Kenneth Anger, an in-depth, non-spoiler, fresh review of Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse, a countdown of best debut features by directors, and we pitch dinosaur movies and TV shows. One of the most fun episodes thus far.

In the first show back in about 6 weeks, the Flying Producer Brothers talk about the writer's strike, Netflix, the Phoenix Film Festival, and do a countdown of their Top 5 Underrated Animated Films.

Salim, Erickh, and Britt make their Oscar selections and such. Were I a listener to the show, I'd base most of my picks around the guys' picks if I wanted to win an Oscar pool, but I'm biased because I'm one of us guys. That made no logical sense, but our predictions do.

On this special episode, Erickh, Salim, and Britt list their Top 10 Films of 2022, talk about what they're excited for in 2023, and talk romcoms in The Producers segment. Honestly, this might be the most civil we've ever been to each other.

Probably our longest show, we review a bunch of films from the end of the year, Salim gives some very offensive thoughts on viewers of Glass Onion, we do a countdown of the top New Year's Eve movies, and pitch movies that take place at Christmas, but aren't Christmas movies. We also exchange movies.

A short...er episode of the show where the Flying Producer Brothers talk about the Sight and Sound Magazine Top 100 list and then dive in-depth into two classic Christmas movies for A Centennial at the Cinema: The Muppet Christmas Carol (Brian Henson, 1992) and It's a Wonderful Life (Frank Capra, 1946).

In a jam-packed show, Britt, Salim, and Erickh talk recent movies and countdown favorite Thanksgiving films. Also, Salim uninvites Erickh and Britt to the cookout and cries, and we all answer some of Salim's bullshit movie questions.

Jacob Monco returns to haunt the Flying Producer Brothers, making them read and experience weird horror fiction. Not for the faint of heart, several of the most ghoulish stories from classic horror literature to the modern day. So, come in... welcome...

In the second part of this double episode, the Flying Producer Brothers review the new Super Mario Bros. trailer and Halloween Ends (Green 2022). They also take their second deep into a centennial film review by looking at Benjamin Christensen's Häxan and its rerelease, Witchcraft Through the Ages (1968).

In part one of a special double episode (second episode to be posted within the week), the Flying Producer Brothers talk about celebrity deaths, John Waters returning to the director's chair, Tim Burton leaving Disney, and take our first deep dive into a singular film: the centennial celebration of F.W. Murnau's Nosferatu.

For the first of several spooktacular episodes in the month of October, The Flying Producer Brothers have their most extensive celebrity death corner yet, list their favorite creature features and discuss the fluid nature of the term, and pitch weird werewolf movies.

The Flying Producer Brothers discuss some pop culture news, Celebrity Death Corner, review movies such as Three Thousand Years of Longing (Miller 2022), talk about movies they wish they made, and try to... gulp... do a Producers segment on positive portrayals of controversial historical figures. This might be the episode that gets us canceled. Or not. I don't know, you figure it out.

Opera Boys get together for their second August episode as they talk about their July Criterion Sale pick-ups, their High Fidelity picks for movies they think deserve Boutique Releases, and Producers pitches for car movies. Let's roll.

Britt, Erickh, and Salim go on and rap about the movies they feel have had most of a hand in shaping their paths in that artform.

Britt, Erickh, and Salim get together to discuss their favorite horror movies that they consider underappreciated or underseen and in the midst of it find themselves nostalgic for their time at Arizona State University, Secret Celluloid Society, and other things...

This week, Britt, Erickh, and Salim flex out their Battle Royale once more whittling down the extended 60-movie canon that makes up the feature film output of the Walt Disney Animation Studios, proving how much 90s nostalgia some of them are drinking out the bottle of and the painful reverence for the pre-war pictures another has. The producer segment this week has them pitching concepts regarding cooking and as Britt talks about Turning Red and The Batman, Erickh discusses Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Everything Everywhere All at Once, and The Unbearable Weight of massive Talent while Salim brings up The Northman, X, moonfall, and round 2 of memoria.

The Flying Producer Opera Brothers Boys go over the aftermath of the 94th Academy Award ceremony, a very uneventful moment with no notoriety whatsoever. In addition, we briefly muse on Taylor Hawkins' untimely death, the recent releases of The Batman and Turning Red, and think up gimmick movies.

Erickh, Salim, and Britt get together to talk shit about the 94th Academy Awards. Somehow the specificity allows them to finally meet their goal of a shorter episode... at less than two hours. But can YOU survive?

Opera Boys be back trying very hard to stay focused on their mission statement here, but that mission statement involves a whole lot of talking on this episode: Reacting to the nominees of the 94th Academy Awards, talking about their favorite movies of 2021, and discussing the movies of 2022 they are most anticipating.

We present a recording from the live broadcast in December 2013 at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication of Charles Dickens' beloved classic Christmas tale.

'Tis the season of spreading cheer and what better cheer than the Opera boys spending three hours jousting over Spider-Man and Pixar movies and the gifts they got each other and their preferred Christmas movies?

Anything.

On this episode, it's a battle for individuality as Britt, Erickh, and Salim attempt to one up each other naming their 50 favorite movie titles of all time and trying to use overlap to skip each other. That's after they've finished talking about other stuff.

Erickh, Salim, and Dr. Britt could not be reached. The only things left of them are a collection of recordings: accounts of the unnerving and the macabre from the perverse minds of W. Somerset Maugham (and Mesopotamian folklore), Clive Barker, an except from Edgar Allen Poe, M.R. James, and J.D. Salinger.

Fortunately, friend of the Opera Jacob Monco has been happy to take over for the Samhain festivities, hosting and curating these four short stories as we here at the Opera attempt to locate our three hosts or their remains. We're sure they're alright.

On the latest episode, catch an impersonation of Gilbert Gottfried as Bond, a challenge to Kenneth Branagh for a fight (rescinded for we are cowards), an offer for Jeff Bezos to give us 5 million dollars each to stop talking about him, and the opportunity for you Jonathan Delarosa the only listener of this show to pick the new name of our segment formerly known as "The Final Countdown"

And all we ask is for you to commit 3 1/2 hours to this for we overcompensate. And how!

Nothing is beyond our crosshairs in this episode: 9/11, OJ Simpson, Cancer, Brian Robbins, each other, in recognition of Norm MacDonald's honor. Meanwhile we continue to discuss what happened over the past weeks, deal with how Salim appears to be the only dude who keeps up with new releases, come up with the worst video game movies that could ever happen (Britt wins this round I think), and remark upon Salim's apparent imprisonment. Just another opera night.

After another long slumber that went for over two months, the Opera Boys are back to try to catch up with as much as possible from pop culture news to the gigantic amount of 2021 movie releases they saw to finishing that cliff hanger that their Top 10 Disappointments ended on. Meanwhile, we try to discover a 2021 mainstream movie that Salim HAD to have liked and he tries to frame Dr. Britt Rhuart for saying some inflammatory shit... specifically about Disney, please don't not kill him, Mr. Mouse.

Britt, Erickh, and Salim get interrupted by the footsteps of Salim's dog Bruno, determine the best way to remember Ned Beatty, and Britt sneaks in a good ol' wrestling rant. We are also bad with names in this episode for some reason.

Braving each other's judgments, Britt, Erickh, and Salim elaborate on their attitudes regarding the concept of guilty pleasures and their biggest ones of the 2010s while trying to navigate the side effects of second dose vaccination and determine the source of the continuously present sirens that betray the location of one of our hosts. Longer than the rap sheet of them all put together so beware.

Once again the Opera boys return to lay down their final 5 favorite television shows of the 2010s and in the process muse upon awards seasons' futilities, the toxicity of fandoms and its repercussions, and just freezing internet all about. How do they do it? Why do they do it? Who knows? Who cares?

On a special chungus sized episode of A Night at the Opera, the three fellas deal with Salim's broken mic, mourn a Los Angeles landmark, diverge from DMX's death to Prince Phillip and then regain the thread, get deep in Godzilla-ness, shoot their Oscar predictions (Britt's more confident than the others), commence the first half of their favorite television shows of the 2010s, pitch musical ideas, and steal Salim's perfect Producers theme. He will not forgive this transgresion.

So far so good as Dr. Britt, Erickh, and Salim go for the second verse, same as the first, where they muse over the passings of Jessica Walter and Beverly Cleary and finish their reveal of their Top 5 Favorite Movies of the 2010s. In the meantime, they discover the refreshing license for profanity that podcasting affords them, gush over several shared top 5s, apologize to the Producers for running out of time, flex their arrived Hertzfeldt prints, muse over their histories with Doctor Who, and sweat under the wire of getting this episode completed in time for Erickh to rush to work after.

We'll get this downpat soon enough.

Dr. Britt, Erickh, and Salim reunite after 7 years to reignite their college radio show as a podcast and do what they did before: talk about shit. This first return back to the airwaves involves talking the 93rd Oscar nominations, the break-up of Daft Punk, Alamo Drafthouse filing for bankruptcy, Yaphet Kotto's passing, the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League, and the bottom half of our Top Ten Movies of the 2010s, to be continued on the next episode!
