The fifth day of night is upon us! This episode I’ll be getting into episodes two & three of Season 4’s TRUE DETECTIVE. The scientists have been found on ice & are transported to the local ice skating rink to thaw while Liz, Evangeline, & co figure out how they got there in the first place. Bless my travel biscuits, he’s been saved! Din is no longer an apostate & neither is Bo (was she ever though?). Dr. Pershing is back. We have a new set of muscles in Star Wars, the beautiful (but very much evil) Elia. And that was definitely not a mind flayer right?… Right!? (I referred to this episode as chapter 20 many times throughout the podcast, it’s chapter 19!)

Peli! Bo! Cave trolls! This episode was jammed packed with omg moments. An eyeball droid takes Din, Bo Katan sees the mythical creature of Mandalore, & Grogu kicked some troll ass! Hope you enjoy!

Din and Grogu are back & in the Naboo starfighter battling a giant crocodile/tortoise monster. They save the day & some mandalorians & go off to Navarro. More Babu Friks! There is also sad girl era Bo-Katan. (I forgot to mention Grogu spinning in the office chair and force grabbing candy, apologies)

Time to play catch up with the last few episodes of HOUSE OF THE DRAGON! Join me as I get into a little of ep4, more of ep5, and plenty into ep6. Daemon went from strutting Rhaenyra around the streets of silk to being a widow twice over (the first time was his doing) and girl dad to Baela & Rhaena. We met Vhagar & said goodbye to beautiful Laena. Rhaenyra walked several flights of stairs seconds after giving birth to her third STRONG son. Alicent’s demand to see the baby was no more than a petty play at seeing if the baby favored any Velaryon/ Targaryen features. So very much to get into! Hope you enjoy! Obi Wan spins again! The signature lightsaber move is back! The seeds of the rebellion begin, Rip Wade. Still no Tala/Obi Wan kisses, but we did get espionage! Leia and Reva play mental cat and mouse. We see a literal Jedi tomb, very dark & very heavy. And the ethereal breathing of Vader jump scares into one of his hardest hallway scenes ever. What a time to be a Star Wars fan!

Hellllo there! It’s a Game of Thrones/ A Song of Ice and Fire themed episode! I’m joined by my friend & fellow ASOIAF super fan Jimmy -host of the YouTube channel The Fantasy Nuttwork- to talk Robert Baratheon and Rhaegar Targaryen. One became king and the other an immortal prince. What fun it was diving deep into these to enigmatic characters! Enjoy!

Kristen Stewart should be preparing her Oscar speech. This movie could not have been a walk in the park for her to make. It is physically intense, full of suffocating anxiety attacks, and is just an overall deep person to portray. This film takes a look into Princess Diana's three day Christmas holiday at The Queen's country estate. It shows Diana doing her best to take control of her role as a mother to her two young boys. Pretty hard to do when The Queen reigns supreme. She prevailed. She was able to break free from the confines of this over bearing family and live a life true to herself & sons. Despite it being short lived. Despite being hunted and hounded by the paparazzi. The score for the film is a beautiful mix of classical and jazz. The cinematography stuns. Kristen's performance is a revelation. Hauntingly well done.  -Trigger warning for plot lines that involve eating disorders.

Green goop & water pods! What a feeling! LGBTQ+ babes rejoice! BETTE PORTER is back! Jennifer Beals is Garsa Fwip, a “club” manager who gets a visit from Boba and Fennec. Ming-Na Wen, and Temuera Morrison are in their 50’s! They’re kicking more ass and taking more names than I could dream of at 34. Robert Rodriguez is a mad man for this episode! Between the Leia Hutt Slayer tribute, to the belly of the Sarlac itself, it freakin ruled!

The last episode set it all up perfectly. The “D” pic Roman sent to Logan lowered his status immediately & seemingly irrevocably. Shiv and Tom went from seemingly reconciled to nightmare nitro fuel. Kendall is alive and struggling to survive. Connor? Engaged! Logan? A new baby on the way? The finale felt like Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, better buckle up!

In a world full of gray characters in George RR Martin’s world, she remains unjustified in almost every action she’s taken. Including a fascinating take on the sea witch siren from The Odyssey who turned men into pigs. Adrienne knows her stuff!👏 Parallels abound!

Kendall had a 40th bday bash and holy shit it was reckless, extravagant, and became totally irrelevant to him & others in the end. A literal Dante’s inferno…

Welcome to the 5th ring of the third level of Succession! Jk its episode five of season three folks, not another level of hell. Or is it? The children Roy are spiraling yet again in the never ending hurricane that is their father. Logan goes piss mad, imaginary cats are put in bags, and Kendall somehow remembers the victim’s names of Waystar/Royco’s crimes by heart. Oh, bagels and bunnies, duh… This is one of the most impressive episodes of television I’ve ever seen, cheers to Jesse Armstrong & co!
