Synopsis: A mysterious and vengeful spirit marks and pursues anybody who dares enter the house in which it resides. (A little different then the remake.)

We're doing another series and that compares and contrasts original movies and their remakes. Last week we watched the 2005 film, Dark Water that was actually an American remake of the 2002 Japanese horror film of the same name.

This week we watch the original 2002 Dark Water that was directed by Hideo Nakata and written by Yoshihiro Nakamura and stars Hitomi Kuroki, Rio Kanno, and Mirei Oguchi.

Synopsis: A mother and her 6-year-old daughter move into a creepy apartment whose every surface is permeated by water.

Welcome back to a new episode! This week we are watching the 2005 supernatural/horror/mystery Dark Water. This movie was directed by Walter Salles and written by Rafael Yglesias. This remake of the 2002 Japanase film of the same name stars Jennifer Connelly, Tim Roth, John C. Reilly, Pete Postelthwaite and Dougray Scott.

Synopsis: A mother and daughter, still wounded from a bitter custody dispute, hole up in a rundown apartement building, where they are targeted by the ghost of a former resident.

We are back after a week off with an episode just in time for Spring Break!

This week we watch the 2008 horror/adventure/thriller flick, The Ruins. The movie was directed by Carter Smith and stars Jena Malone, Shawn Ashmore, Jonathan Tucker and Laura Ramsey.

Synopsis: A leisurely Mexican holiday takes a turn for the worse when a group of friends and a fellow tourist embark on a remote archaeological dig in the jungle, where something evil lives among the ruins. Join us as we watch the movie while also catching up on Bonz's bday trip to NYC and Mike's critter babysitting adventures. Enjoy!

Welcome back Scary Movie & Chillers!! We have a special treat just in time for the upcoming St. Patrick's Day with the 1994 sequel to Leprechaun, Leprechaun 2!

Leprechaun 2 is a fantasy/comedy/horror film directed by Rodman Flender and stars Warwick Davis, Charlie Heath, Shevonne Durkin and Tony Cox.

Sup Scary Movie & Chillerz! We found ourselves a gem just in time for Valentine's Day with the 1990 horror/comedy, Frankenhooker, directed by Frank Henenlotter and stars James Lorinz and Patty Mullen.

Synopsis: A medical student sets out to recreate his decapitated fiancée by building her a new body made of Manhattan street prostitutes. Join us as we watch this unhinged flick while chatting about Mike's back-to-work rant, how LA can't handle rain and more! Enjoy!

Annnddd we're back with a brand new ep featuring a 2023 Swedish horror/comedy/mystery flick, The Conference. Directed by Patrik Eklund and stars Katia Winter, Adam Lundgren and Eva Melander.

Synopsis: A team-building conference for municipal employees turns into a nightmare when accusations of corruption begin to circulate and plague the work environment.

This week we found a low-key Valentine's Day scary movie with the 1992 American psychological horror thriller, Raising Cain. The movie was written and directed by Brian De Palma, and stars John Lithgow, Lolita Davidovich and Steven Bauer.

Synopsis: The oncologist wife of a prominent child psychologist suspects her husband has an unhealthy scientific obsession with their child, unaware of what - or who - is really going on inside his head.

We have another David Cronenberg gem on deck this week with the 1983 science fiction/body horror film, Videodrome. The film stars James Woods, Sonja Smits and Debbie Harry.

Synopsis: A programmer at a TV station that specializes in adult entertainment searches for the producers of a dangerous and bizarre broadcast.

Hey hey Scary Movie & Chillers! We are back with a new episode all about the 2023 Blumhouse horror/mystery, There's Something Wrong with the Children. Directed by Roxanne Benjamin and starring Alisha Wainwright, Zach Gilford, Amanda Crew, Carlos Santos, Briella Guiza and David Mattle.

Synopsis: When Margaret (Wainwright) and Ben (Gilford) take a weekend trip with longtime friends Ellie (Crew) and Thomas (Santos) and their two young children (Guiza and Mattle), Ben begins to suspect something supernatural is occurring when the kids behave strangely after disappearing into the woods overnight. Happy Horrodays! It's our Holly Jolly right after Xmas episode!! This week we watch the 2010 horror/adventure/fantasy film, Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale.

Synopsis: A young boy named Pietari and his friend Juuso think a secret mountain drilling project near their home in northern Finland has uncovered the tomb of Santa Claus. However, this a monstrous, evil Santa, much unlike the cheery St. Nick of legend. When Pietari's father captures a feral old man in his wolf trap, the man may hold the key to why reindeer are being slaughtered and children are dissappearing.

This film was directed by Jalmari Helander and stars Onni Tommila, Ilmari Järvenpää and a bunch of naked santas! ENJOY!!

We're back this week with a true Christmas classic, the 1980, Christmas Evil. This horror/thriller was directed by Lewis Jackson and stars Brandon Maggart, Jeffry DeMunn and Dianne Hull.

Synopsis: A toy factory worker, mentally scarred as a child upon learning Santa Claus is not real, suffers a nervous breakdown after being belittled at work, and embarks on a Yuletide killing spree.

The movie was written and directed by Bernard Rose and stars Virginia Madsen, Tony Todd, Xander Berkeley, Kasi Lemmons and Vanessa E. Williams. Synopsis: The Candyman, a murderous soul with a hook for a hand, is accidentally summoned to reality by a skeptic grad student researching the monster's myth. Fun fact: the movie is based on Clive Barker's short story "The Forbidden."

We're back this week with a brand new episode that recorded on co-host Bonz's actual birthday! Yanno, there's just not enough March for all the Irish horror films out there! This week we review the 2015 horror film, The Hallow. Set in a lush forest in Ireland, this movie was directed by Corin Hardy, written by Corin Hardy and Felipe Marin, and stars Joseph Mawle, Bojana Novakovic, Michael McElhatton and Michael Smiley. Synopsis: A family who moved into a remote mill house in Ireland finds themselves in a fight for survival with demonic creatures living in the woods.

Synopsis: Farmer Dan Reilly is struggling financially when he is offered a tidy sum in return for allowing one of his cows to have DNA experiments carried out on it. He reluctantly agrees, but soon the cow is not the only victim of the gruesome interventions.
