#067 Monica Ducu - Business, Personal and Spiritual Coach
Monica Ducu is a beautiful being and shares with us her path to become a business coach using spirituality to give the extra succes. During this interview Monica shares with us her story how a life threatening disease has shown her the continuous stress she had in her 9-5 job. Her beliefs made it difficult to see that being “successful” was making her sick and keeping her body in a 24h fight or flight mode, which effectually started to break down. Through observation, holistic healing and spirituality Monica saw through the lies and quit her job in a renown bank in Romania to start her coaching business. Monica is not shy to share a few of her approaches and secrets with us. Reach out to her: www.monicaducu.ro FB, IG, LinkedIN under Monica Ducu References: Mindvalley Vishen Lakhiani Marisa Peers

#065 Marya Umar - Understanding Our Trauma as A Way to Our Liberation
Another great interview were I and my guest dive deeper into the spiritual world. Marya is a researcher at New World Together were she looks at the human unconsciousness. The research and her own life path have made her an expert in Intergenerational trauma, relational trauma and past life trauma treatment. Marya Umar is a medium, channel, high priestess healer and self relationship coach from Indonesia. She has grown up in a family were working with spirits and healing practices is normal and has been passed down from her ancient lineage. Marya is very honest in sharing her awakening process, trauma handling and how to change cultural and religious paradigms. Her no nonsense but down to earth approach in teaching and guiding gives you real applicable tools to look at your own traumas, shadows and fear and start working on them to become free of them. Lets welcome Marya “a Cycle Breaker” The three words describing her: Compassion, Wisdom and Depth Colour: Sunset We got to talk about: Our internal destructive self-talk, inner critic Self-Love & how she learned about it Increase Self Love. Creates more understanding and less judging of self and others Create Self Awareness; Accept and embrace your shadows Fear & the function as a messenger Shadow work; How to see and work with them Trauma; Childhood, generational, religious, cultural trauma and how to recognise the signs Trauma stored in our DNA, on a cellular level and stuck in our nervous system. So the body reacts when stressed We can all be a Cycle Breaker Traditional/Family sicknesses coming from ancestral trauma, grandparents or older generations Spirituality and asian culture How she was introduced to her spirit guide and opened her sixth sense Her spiritual gifts Good versus bad spirits and how to distinguish People with those gifts have to be careful not to trust all spirits. If you are ego driven you might take advice from bad spirits and bad things will happen SHIFT “Don’t, Should have to, Shouldn’t” into more conscious words Shadow work tip Self Acceptance: You need to accept your feelings, fear, angers, shame, blame, hopelessness, feeling too small For each feeling ask yourself: What is this feeling trying to tell and show me? You can also google the feeling to get an idea what it means or what you could do. Call to Action: Embrace and let go of fear Let go of desires. First you need to understand why you have them Observe yourself without judgement Practice to ask yourself often questions Connect with stillness, with yourself, get bored, focus on your breath and learn to get anchored Learn to be brave and step into the unknown. Uncertainty makes the ego feel threatened Advice to her younger self: Observe your ego. “The Ego thinks in Judgements; Awareness thinks in Questions” Connect with Marya Umar: IG: Healandrisewithmarya FB: Marya Umar “Spiritual Shit” Ep. 40 Letting Go of Fear, Discovering & Embracing Your Spiritual Gifts Subscribe to the podcast Anchor.fm/schirach, Apple Podcast, Spotify, YouTube and more

#054 Theis Barenkopf Dinesen - Innovation as business growth enabler
Welcome Theis Barenkopf Dinesen to this episode were we go deep into the topic “Innovation as business growth enabler” This is a more experimental episode were we left my standard questions and focus on Theis experience as a innovation facilitator and his experience from many industries, studies and jobs. The structure of the interview looks as following: 1) Who is Theis: Educational background: Digital Design, Design Future, Business Administration Professional background: As an employee, consultant, startup/personal business owner and innovation facilitator His overall approach to innovation in a business context 2) What is innovation - in a business context Ideas are like horses - you need many to before you can choose the fastest It is more risky not to be innovative and take chances, than it is not doing it Innovation/ideation: Is not a one-man-band, it’s a collaborating ensemble Is not a luxury, it's a necessity because the world is changing and customers are unholy bastards Is not confined to products and services, it can happen in many areas, from processes, costumer service to logistics, payment and customers experience Is a sliding scale, from super shallow (paint you product in a new colour) to infinitely deep (intergalactic space travel) Needs to have boundaries the same way as the rest of the organisation (regard it on equal terms with other organisational efforts) Needs to be a constant, not a one day event 3) Innovation as a strategic business development tool The innovative environment: Organisational innovation enabling as one of the key competences of top management Stop just talking about: A zero fail culture - live it Tearing down silos - allow them to overflow Being agile and change ready - and then hire next quarter accountants Cases on strategic briefs LEGO: "A brick centred for girls age 6 to 12" Newspaper from burning money to be profitable again Trophy games: "Make more money (without spending more)” 4) Innovation as a employee development tool As a collaborator: Innovation needs to happen in an open and sharing environment with many competences present, being the perfect environment to make cross-organisational collaboration happen As a change-maker: Many people are afraid of change and will thus resist it. But bringing new product/services to the market and thus continue to be a relevant company is understandable for everybody, and changes happening because of that, are easier accepted throughout the whole organisation As a personnel developer: When employees get to show new sides of themselves, they feel better and you as an employer get to realise more of their value As an overall growth enabler: Be able to see and realise new opportunities 5 primary takeaways: An idea is just an idea - work you ass off on “THE Idea!” Innovation is about SHARING - NOT Protecting Let yourself be inspired from other areas than you core competence ground (art, business, departments, children…) Don’t shy away from aiming for the stars - you can always compromise later Don’t draw rockets - build rails Reach out to Theis Barenkopf Dinesen: Company Idea & daughters www.idda.dk LinkedIn Subscribe to the podcast and share it with your friends

Advice: Bede om hjælp Vær ikke bange for at starte noget. Start et sted og hold det enkelt. Hvis du strikker, start med noget nyttigt og let, lige som sokker eller hjemmesko osv. #049 Max Zheng - Unshackle your chains, start really loving yourself
Max wants to help people to be happy and reach their full potential and with his three Life Guides, framework, programs and coaching he can do that. The interview with Max has taught me that it doesn’t matter from were we come to learn something new. That we all can learn to be creative, acquire emotional intelligence even if we come from a long life of logic thinking and no social guidance. Max was sharing his path of success and failures, pain and happiness which lead him to were he is now. A very open and vulnerable talk that gives hope to anyone that feels the need to change. We are getting a view how it is to life without a clear guidance, lack of passion for anything and living according what seems logic to do. Max gives us some good advices for life, shares a tool to problem solve creatively. We are also learning about his framework and coaching to become happier and more productive for life. Please welcome Max Zheng to the interview. Colour: Red. It represents love, passion, strong emotions, speed and fire. He had always fire inside himself but didn’t show it on the outside. This led to depressed and suicide thoughts. We talked about: His story Lack of social guidance Working as a SW engineer, and management style Living a life according logic and not emotional intelligence No passion, direction where to go in life, getting depressed and suicide thoughts Everyday feeling like the day before, no drive, not knowing how to be happy Reoccurring conflicts at work, with his wife and family Lack of emotional intelligence, and his path to learn EI How a blog post on LinkedIN on empathy and efficiency changed his life Focus on productivity & living a great life, and the realisation that productivity and happiness are interlinked Sleep, meditation and effect on happiness and productivity His company “Human Prosperity”, “Life Guide” to create a great life: The Apps, Documents, Framework, Coaching, and What creativity is for him Advice: Invest in yourself and find a coach. Without guidance you, you can easily get lost. Don’t try to help everyone. Specialise in a niche Believe in yourself. Applaud yourself. Being exited every day means you are growing. You want to fail many times. That way you learn much more. Max is Coaching in 5 areas/layers: 1. Happiness 2. Productivity 3. Career advancement 4. Dream planning 5. #046 - Kaedrich Olsen - How Spirituality, Religion and Mysticism are connected
For this second episode we got deeper into what is the difference between mysticism, spirituality and religion. How those three are connected to each other, one layer on top of the other. From the place of peace, connection to the esoteric and regular practices until we reach the level of deep knowledge and understanding of things and the creation of new practices, prayer, symbols. Black mirror and memorable experiences It is basically a frame with a black painted glass Only use it in connection with a ceremony. Create a ritual space. That way you help create the shift of your mind when you want it and not by accident when you might draw the wrong entities to you. You attract what you expect. When being in a higher state of mind you will get a better experience. When going into the session with fear you’ll see fearful things. Similarities attract and perpetuate Crossover What do you believe is there What do you feel that you deserve to have What do you wish for on the other side Prepare for each ceremony, no matter what. Emotional & Mindset state How to prepare for any kind of meditation, ceremony to get the best out of it. Imagine walls around you turn solid and then fill the room with the presence of the sacred, light, high vibrations. Feel it in your body and expand it so it fills all your body and the room around you. Imagine that dark entities are being pushed away. If you feel any dark entity, laugh at or about it, feel awe & wonder for it. They don’t like that kind of attention or appreciation Whenever you let go of the positive feeling and get startled or afraid; laugh and find the sacred space again. Shadow work what is it and how to find someone to work with in a safe way. Shadows are not only negative emotions and feelings holding us back Find a feeling you want to work with. Sink in the feeling, emotion for a moment Ask: “Where did I learn to feel this way? The first moment I felt like that? What from and how has this emotion been protecting me?” This often helps already to clear the shadow up. You bring light and attention to the part that you didn’t want to accept before. By that you start to understand more why you feel this way. Dark Night of the Soul. “Soul is not happy with were your life is.” Other things we talked about: What woods and products he uses and burns for ceremonies. E.g Cedar-wood, sandalwood, palo santo How to know if there really is an good or bad entity in your house Practice to stay in a higher elevated state Working out with focus Kaedrich’s webpage and his guided meditation to connect with your higher self, clear negativities and more. Lioness of Language because she is not afraid to speak up for herself and others. Maximizer of Magnificence represents her belief that every person has beauty. Colour: Vermillion. An attracting but yet also calming colour. Dark purple that stands out, is different, rare and not mediocre. Used by royalty and rich people.  Secrets: Laura was not supposed to be here. During birth she also almost died.  As kid and teenager she also had visions and demonic and angelic spiritual experiences.  We talked about: Agape, Love Authenticity Resilience The Nebuchadnezzar story and how it changed her life Her physical sickness, prideful, egoistic and self-centred behaviour 7 Months of suffering without knowing what the source was Fear of dying Spiritual parents trying to clean her negative spirits Wanting to take her life as she no longer could bare the pain and suffering Seeing herself taking her life with a knife and then talking to Jesus Spiritual Awakening Letting go of the old “self” and spiritual and mental rebirth Physical healing The strength her parents saw in her from childhood Finding her way and purpose for life Sharing how she was acting with friends and at work before and after her Nebuchadnezzar moment Experience of others watching and reacting to her How she wants to help the world Creativity: Is a subjective experience. Thinking outside the box a the norm or accepted field. It is supported by a lifestyle where one gets into a flow that hits you. The Energy, emotions, vision just come out of you and you create. Raw creativity is the most authentic Method to be creative: Be open to the flow. You do not have the skill when you start in the creative field that hits you. When you follow the flow and start doing what feels right then you get better and better at it. For her she gets once in a while surprised when her drawings end up better than expected. Advice: Look inside yourself. Go to a quit place that is calming to you. Forest, lake, water. Go with an open mindset. Ask yourself: Who is important to me? What is my why? What is my driving force? #041 - Sharon Tiger - Just Get Things Done
We are having Sharon Tiger to answer some of my favourite questions for this episode. On LinkedIN she describes herself like this: “Official Customer Woo-er Customer Experience Consulting for businesses who want to grow like gangbusters.” With more than 20 years of experience with top companies and thousands of happy clients she was someone I needed to get on the show. And I didn’t get disappointed. We surely have more to talk about for the future. Her 3 adjectives are: Curious, Determined, and Happy Optimist Her Colour: Bright colours preferably the most vibrant red. Sharon doesn’t want to blend in and red helps to stand out. Colours are also effecting the mood. When wearing bright colours people seem to be more open and happy towards her. Sidenote her twin sister is blue. Secret that only her family knows: She wears the most awful looking caftan at home. And she is very extroverted outside her home, but when she is at home she does all to stay home. Rather have guests coming over to them than leave the house. We talked about: Growing up in poor family hold Her mom being her hero. Love, work, compassion Her baby Brother with 3 big sisters and a mom Lessons learned babysitting her brother. It is in her control to get things done As kid Sharon used to be the creative leader when playing with her twin sister. Pushing all the time to try this and that. Sharon the visionary & her smaller sisters the organised. How that combination works well Her confidence in her abilities and to find answers to problems Curious and Big Risk Taker Doesn’t like rules and takes calculated risks. If it goes wrong she has at least learned something. Personality profile ENTP, mostly extrovert at work and home introvert Empathy, avoid situations and environment with negative energies Meditation Her Voluntary work for the Sjogren's Foundation for kids Covid and Hydroxychloroquine New Job with AI Her skill of making complex things super simple Creativity is: Exploring ideas and putting them together in a way that makes sense to you. Showing the world how you see it. Advice for business. Create an environment were it’s safe to fail. Perfectionism is a limiting belief, the root could be fear and protection of the things one has build. Her creative powers: She does gardening, painting and writing. Loves to create from scratch. Her paintings are abstract and show feelings but she paints also landscapes. She might also use charcoal to sketch. At work she uses her creativities to look at all the aspects of a problem or task. She is so curious that she questions everything to make sure that the cause of the problem is not only a symptom but really the problem. Advice: Biggest game changer for her came from a mentor. Be in control of your time.  “If you can’t control or influence it then don’t spend time on it” Call to action: Find what makes you happy and do it. #039 - Mandi Morgan - A healthy brain sound like a symphony
Hi everyone and welcome to the 2nd interview with Mandi. In this interview we find out that Mandi’s favourite animal is the cow. We also find out why. We also got to talk about my experience with walking with cows a few weeks back. We talk about the visions Mandi had for 2020 when she was younger. The war she saw and felt and knowing that she and her kids are prepared for it. How she healed her heart with healing visualisation. How laughing can heal. How her energies when really exited or down can disturb lights and computers. Awakening of human kind from materialistic world view to a bigger understanding of energies. Most of today’s talk focused on the brain waves and the EEG. Mandi learned how to treat brains with the EEG treatment developed by Lee Guardas and worked with it in 2012/13. She also used it herself for 10 sessions and explains how it can help you to hear your own brain and by that heal itself. A sick or broken brain sounds to yourself like a broken record, and when done with the treatment your brain waves start sounding like a symphony. #038 - Zephyr Khambatta - pt2. - awakening
Part 2 with Zephyr Khambatta from Singapore, whom I met on a Mindvalley Quest. We have connected and started chatting only to realise that we have many interests in common. During this 2nd Interview we focused more on his spiritual awakening, how he produced a song a lone and has now a music video on MTV and VH1, we talk about Meditations and what creativity is for him. Zephyr lives in Singapore and is a mind-body-spirit healer, musician, and sports coach. Best described as an open and friendly man that loves to talk and inspire others with truth. His spiritual awakening started with him wanting to create and produce a song from scratch alone, and then have it published on MTV and VH1. During that 6 months he had a lot of free time to think and started having thoughts about the world and humanity. When he opened up and shared those thoughts on Facebook he was first afraid of what others might think of him.Surprisingly people reached out to him and helped him understand that he went through an awakening. That was 4 years ago. Parts of his awakening included: A 3 day retreat in a Hotel asking himself “What does really matter to me?”. Health Stumbling over the book Conversation with God Realising that he always had a spiritual part, a connection with nature and healing Doing past life therapy, Tarot card reading, energy work and Learning to be a Reiki partitioner His 6 months long project to produce a song and then have a music video on MTV and VH1 has taught him much, and he now helps musicians that want to become recording artists themselves. It is a costly program and takes a lot of energy and time. The person also needs to be ready for the change. It is a mindset change that needs to happen in the person. (This program is currently on hold) Creativity is when you are going with the flow. When you remove the interruptions. Be with yourself. This could be meaning 4-6 hours or more where your disconnect from any distraction and focus on your creative work. Don’t judge if the output is not as expected. You still came a step closer. It is difficult to get anything done in a 30min time slot when being creative. Creativity Killer: Stuck people, noises from people criticising, how comes your are not successful, how will you make money etc. Meditation Practices: Sadhguru “Isha Kriya” (morning & evening) Tracy Griffith, Chakra clearing mediation, Aroma Yoga Reiki Partitioner, give healings to others and himself every day Grounding, Place feet on grass sand or water Workout, feeling the body without music Going into nature and speaking to his higher self, guides and angles Quote: A square will never understand the possibility and balance which a circle brings. Call to Action: Full Body Coaching For Health & Wellness, Lose Fats and Sculpt The Body Of Your Dreams Reiki Distance Healing (Available Internationally) Spiritual Card Readings & Counselling Help people navigate an awakening Links: Zephyr Khambatta on Social Media (FB, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram) www.zephyrkhambatta.com Three Part Human on Social Media (FB, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram) www.threeparthuman.com The T5 Method - The Top To Toe Transformation www.thetoptotoetransformation.com Sail Away (Official Music Video) www.youtube.com/watch?v=yM2o_0z1dQg

#037 - Zephyr Khambatta - It is not about you
Zephyr lives in Singapore and is a mind-body-spirit healer, musician, and sports coach. Best described as an open and friendly man that loves to talk and inspire others with truth. Before the age of 14/15 he was rather closed as they were an immigrant family in Singapore and tried to fit in. After that he started to open up more and more. His open approach helps him to connect with people that many might not think of connecting, creates business opportunities, human connection and a general good feeling. His color is turquoise. It’s a colour that is appearing and reappearing many times in his life. As a child he loved to find spiders that where turquoise coloured. His sign is scorpio a water sign, and he had a few visualisations and other spiritual techniques where turquoise was very dominate. His spiritual colour. His secret is being more lazy than many think and putting self care at 1st position. Daily earthing, grounding and taking time to exercise as well as having his weekly foot massage are basics for his well being. Then only from a well self can you help others the most. During this interview we went back and forth, left and right and talked about many things. Such as: His Experience of university choice. Being Engineer and instead working and selling Chinese Medicine His father wanting him to have a degree Studying music and becoming a drum teacher Totem & spirit animals what they mean to him and how they appear: Spider, Eagle and Black Panther (Dulum Ra) Being a priest at the age of 13 Receiving Disease => Misbalance of the chakras and body energies Spirituality: We got to talk about his spirituality and that he already as child felt that there was more than the eye can see. Only a few years ago Zephyr started to understand that others called him crazy sometimes only meant that he could sense, see and feel things others are less in-tune with. Zephyr shared his story: Of keeping stones on the desk and at shool Fascination for ghost and spirits as a child Interests in Magic tricks and mysteries Seeing trolls as a child when in high fever Dolores Cannon and past life His awakening to the spirituality 3 Day retreat asking himself “What does really matter to me?” Book that stood out Walssh “Conversations with God” Synchronisities Give people what they want. #036 Mandi Morgan - Some things are meant to happen
Mandi Morgan is a compassionate and loving person that helps deaf people as a teacher and interpreter and dreams of cleaning the ocean. We met through a Mindvalley class where Mandi shared her great and unbelievable story with us. Mandi got interested in sign language as a 4 year old and has been teaching for 20+ years. Currently she is living in Reno, Nevada, before that she lived for 10 years in Alaska were she flew to the villages making sure that the villagers and kids have what they need. The deeper story that connected us was her near life-death experience 28 years ago. Mandi was pregnant with her first child and one month before the due date she didn’t feel well.  The hospital called her twice pressing her to come  immediately for a check. As soon as she arrived she dropped and was connected to the emergency equipment. She could hear and see it all but was not in her body any longer. She was rather attracted by a bright light. That was the beginning of her experience with the light and the other side.  That was 28 years ago and ever since she receives the information that the world will be in an upheaval in 2020 and that she should share her story and help people. This awakening experience has changed her life and she shares a lot about it with us. Things we talked about during the interview: Her near death experience in 1992 and how it changed her life How she receives messages, through voices, images and bodily sensations Colour Pink-Green (Heart Chakra) Her secret: Watching people in restaurants. Reading their body language and how the group dynamic is Her secret: Learning to fly small airplanes in Alaska Her life in Alaska, Polar bear following her, winter darkness and how to handle it, crystals that hang in the air like curtains and much more How she got to Alaska, Job add Pop up on the computer How her interest in sign language started Sign language is different from country to country as any other language How sign language helps to read other people better. 80% of our communication is non verbal Sign language  interpretation during music concerts How to help children achieve more by showing them their successes repeatedly How she saw that time is not linear in other dimensions How to increase your vibration and be more positive Gratitude, forgiveness, compassion, meditation and visualisation Advice & Call to action: Stay positive and do things that you love, at least one thing for 10 min every day. Do a forgiveness and gratitude practice. Her fathers support to try out and do whatever she wants. “You have always a choice” Life is a journey We have to fail to grow Self motivation to have drive Many Millenias are looking for motivation from the outside Compete & compare yourself with how you were yesterday Understanding yourself, take proactive action, be authentic Each of us has talents, combine it with what brings you joy. Today we get a virtually interview between NY and Struer DK. My guest for this show is Andrew Tarvin the humour engineer. A real Nerd, Yes a nerd in all, math, computer, SW, Star Wars & Star Treck and a stand-up comedian. He describes himself this way: Humor Engineer. The combinations of Stand-up Comedy for 15+ Years and Engineering Computer Scientist, Creating Programms and PM Uses Humor to solve problems at the work space Nerd. Yes all of it. Computer, Math, Dr. Who, Star Was & Star Treck Color: An Orange-peel Orange colour. His favourite color since his childhood. A colour research shows that blue is the favourite color (33%) and orange is on the other side. That might be why he likes orange, not being like everyone else. Secret: Plays Spider Solitaire to the extreme. He enjoys the logic problem solving and uses it as a distraction from all the planing and thinking, like a meditation to help him refilling his energy. Creativity: Solving problems Building unique connections from two or more ideas Mostly to express feelings and emotions Some people are great in just starting to draw, write or similar where other need to have a goal. For For Andrew the first sketch, stand up draft, draft of a book is rarely the thing. He knows from the start that he’ll iterate from the first idea to the final product. Creativity and Humour: Andrew is using structure to create unique connections and ways to create humour. Through his different improv experiences he learned that “Structure makes it easier to be creative” You could use: The 10 by 10 List, or Comic Triple Other topics we touched: How Dyson found his solution for the vacuum cleaner Paradox of choice Introvert vs. Extrovert (How they think and recharge) Mind-fullness and recharging Being without a Smartphone for 15min and waiting in a line What he has in common with Frank Sinatra The 2 ways to be a Stand-Up comedian How he tests his jokes on different audience His preparation for the Ted Talk, and How using humour at work, life makes you seem more confident Advice: 1. Better beg for forgiveness than ask for permission. This means take ownership. Don’t sit around and wait for something to happen. If you want to be funny be it. 2. If someone read a book about your life. Would anyone read it? Would you read it? What makes it a cooler story? This perspective helps to take better decisions. Imagine you tried many things and failed then you have stories to share. Sitting in front of the TV does not make a great story. Alex is a published author, teacher on Udemy, public speaker, business coach and SW engineer. He used to be a shy SW engineer but has learned through reading, public speaking and coaching to overcome his shy personality. For the last 45 days he is changing his life and wants to bring more of his learnings to the world. To do so he is about to launch his new website and create more content on video and in book format and lately offering in person coaching to his portfolio. 3 Words to describe him: Charismatic, Driven, Authentic Colour Red: Representing power. A power that he feels now but hasn’t felt as a kid. Secrets not many know about. One is that both his parents are Chess Champions in the US. As far as he knows no one has both parents with the trophy. The second one is him being a pool shark. He loves to play in bars and meet and connect with people over a game of pool. Especially beating the local heroes and surprising them. His biggest and fondest memory playing pool is the time that he announced a difficult shot and made it. That earned him a lot of applause and a night of free drinks 3 Pool playing tips: Watch videos, read books or get someone really good to learn from Practice a lot Expose to pressure where you need to win. E.g. in a league Play on a snooker table to improve your game Learn to play defence (Don’t play it too obvious) Creativity: Alex considers himself a creative but not before his mid 30’s. There he learned Mind Mapping Mastery by Barry Mapp on Udemy.com. He uses Mind Maps for e.g. presentations, To-Do lists, book planning... The more he practiced the faster the good results show up. Creativity Killer: Number one is too much stress. A little stress is good but too much is bad. Alex is focusing on things that bring him joy to reduce his stress. His signature Class on the “7 Step process for how to become a published author” for busy people Brainstorming, mind-mapping on ideas. Figure out your topic and create the outline, skeleton. #031 - Hans Haller - Stiftung hilft Kinder in NO Brasiliens
#030 - Rob Lenfestey - Mandala Chocolate - Redefining Business Through Cacao - Theobroma Food for Gods
The second talk is focused around Mandala Chocolate and the effect it had on his life. “Redefining Business In a world challenged by fragile ecosystems, dwindling water, and human disempowerment, we believe business has the power and responsibility to help transform our planet. At Mandala, our business model empowers our customers and suppliers, connects with the land, and uses radical accountability, integrity, and transparency as a beacon towards a better future. We are proud to be amongst the pioneers of the rapidly growing Certified B Corps using business as a force for good. Our goal is to be a positive influence on the systems we depend on.” The core of his business is to create a system that supports the future generations. Change the “I want to get money now” mentality, that is so focused on making profit of everything ASAP and forgetting that when the resources are gone the income is gone too. E.g. clear cutting big parts of forests. Those forests can generate wealth for hundreds of years through recreational activities, food sources etc. But if you cut them you’ll get cash once and then it’ll be a desert with nothing to live from. Rob tells us his story how he was allergic to chocolate and didn’t eat any until his 20s and how a mountain trip changed that all. That led him on a journey to L.A. into the centre of the Raw Food movement in 2007 where the Cacao plant selected him. He learned and became an expert in crafting chocolate bars with superfoods. His holistic approach from the beans, supporting famers and then crafting a healthy super food chocolate as a Craft Chocolatier. Which led him to start a crowdfund raiser to save big parts of Cloud Forests in Guatemala and creating sustainable jobs for generations to come. #029 - Camille Tuutti - The Digital Nomad - What could happen if I succeed
From Washington DC insider to digital nomad now living & working on her own terms. CEO and journalist that produces branded content for Fortune 500 companies & news organisations. In 2018 she decided to step down from her well paid position as Editor in Chief to become a digital nomad working 15 hr/week. She is working from places she wants to travel to and choose the most effective working hours. We talk about her time in a Stockholm suburb, her love for writing, traveling, her drive to be the best, live in the US as journalist and Editor in Chief and eventually taking the leap to start her own business. She shares her story fear, perfectionism and finding what it means to life an authentic life true to yourself. 3 Words: Driven, Passionate, Creative/Curious Colour: Glitter. Red, vibrant colour, speaking colour. It is a confident colour. Important is that you wear the colour and not the colour you. Her little Secret: Unhealthy obsession with serial killers, true crime and vampires tv shows and books. Her Story: Have Goals, a clear path and hard work. In 2018 Camille got to treat her eating disorder. A life changing decision. With lots of time to meditate and think of how to live an authentic life for her. Meditating on when she is happiest? That’s when she decided: “I will quit work and travel full time” Failure: Camille was always afraid to fail. Until she realised: "What if I don't fail?" The fear comes from: Perfection Paralysis Not being enough Creativity: Get a clear mind. Being at peace & mindfulness. Take a long walk, a walking meditation helps to free her mind and be inspired. After the initial ideas come other ideas start flowing in. External input can help kick-start the creative process. Reading, watching Tv or talking to people about something. And sometimes you just need to do the work. Usually creativity will ebb and flow during her writing process. Use your curiosity to approach an aspect from different ways and angles. Or get sparing with people with different problem solving approaches then you have. Obstacle for creativity Perfection paralysis. Want to be perfect and fear of not delivering. Hence people won’t even get started. Lack of sleep, being unhappy, depressed are other obstacles for creativity. Habits & Routines: She loves an active lifestyle. Tries to do at least a few exercises every day. Before writing she has a cup of coffee. That gets the mind going. Advice for a digital Nomad: Best advice she got. “There is no growth in your comfort zone. And no comfort in your growth zone!” Don’t be afraid to fail. Reach beyond then what you think possible. We can do much more than what we can do now. “Learn to be uncomfortable” Embarking new life. Always say yes to a new opportunity. I don’t know if I am …. Enough, "Say Yes" to the opportunity and then find out how to handle. Call for action: You have that dream. Book, travel. “JUST DO IT”… don’t think about it. “Start thinking what could happen when I succeed.!!!” What is the alternative. Want to stay where you are and feel you missed out. #028 - Rob Lenfestey - Convergence Lifestyle - Spirituality, Creativity and Personal Growth
Rob is a “Holistic Multilevel Empowered Human Being”. He is an educator, business owner, coach, Wim Hof instructor, Yoga Slacker, running cacao ceremonies, musician, founder of Mandala Springs & .Mandala Chocolate. His YouTube channel “Convergence Lifestyle” is about living a dynamic life, with a holistic empowering lifestyle. 3 Things that describe him. He is an anti specialist that loves multi complex tasks Challenging consciousness Seeks creative empowerment through many alleys Seeks for holes in his life to inform his reality, where he doesn’t have capacity and needs to improve Improving and enhance “Mind-Body-Coordination” Color: Rob would be a magical changing colour. Depending on the surface the medium the colour is applied on. His story: His childhood was hard as he had a difficult time socialising by mimicking the social norms. To the stark contrast with his two younger sisters that had a big social network. This created many patterns of being wrong for him. Being creative journaling, playing music, creating fantasy worlds to escape from feeling worthless in society helped him. Looking back he realised that from an early age he knew that he was on the right path. When he moved to the mountains in his teenage years everything changed in a mater of weeks. He got healthier, lost a lot of weight, made easy friends and fell in love with rock climbing and nature. He started connecting with improvisation music and created a social network. All he wanted as kid was to be normal. Being different, use his body differently helped him to improve his communications skills as he had to work harder to be understood and understanding social norms. A secret not many know: Since childhood Rob is squatting on the potty. He even dreams of a car he could squat whilst driving. Advice on Breath: Most of the western world is breathing too shallow. We breath in the chest instead of deep into the belly. This can cause stress in the body. TIP: “The 3 Part Breath”. Put one hand on your belly, breath in and expand the space in-between the fingers. Put the other hand on your chest and when the belly is full, expand the chest. Then release the breath out first in the chest and then belly. Repeat until you feel relaxed. Creativity. Creativity is a loop of opening up and closing your mind to new input. This loop enables you to practice, expand your competency during your lifetime. After you have been open and absorb the new you will then close for new information and focus and practice to master the new skill until you feel the need for new learnings. That makes an innovator. The circle and capacity to open up and then focus creating a wider perspective than a specialist. A specialist on the other hand is highly focused on one topic. Those people are never open for new information. #027 - Charlie Beswick - How to find yourself through difficult times
Chalie Beswick is an author, charity founder and speaker, from the UK. Mother to twins with one having the goldenhar syndrome and autism. She describes herself as: Very driven, loving to learn and grow continuously Brutally honest, open and Positive The last two attributes have been learned and embraced through her experiences and life lessons. Her colour is red: It is a strong colour that doesn’t work with all colours but with the once it works it fits perfect. It is also a bold colour and not everyone likes it. Her Story started 15 years ago. With the birth of Oliver and Harry. Harry has a very rare cranial disease, goldenhar syndrome where half of the face is missing, and autism. Charlie has not been prepared to this fate as her pregnancy went fine and the doctors didn’t see anything abnormal. It was the most dramatic day of her life. The twins cam 8 weeks early by an emergency C-section and were very small. Charlie felt the lack of control that day. The whole experience shaped her in a way that she was never expected. It created the person and mother she is now. Now she is very grateful for that lesson. Back then she had a lot of grief, guilt and destructive self talk following for six years. Her marriage broke down as well as her mental health. During this time Charlie was writing journals of her feelings and experiences which she rediscovered in 2017. After family members and close friends read some of it they saw the positive transformation Charlie went through and encouraged her to publish a book so her lessons can help other mothers in similar situations. The book became a success and with that Charlie founded a charity were she goes out to schools and talks about Harry’s life and that how we should not fear the different and help other children, grown ups with facial problems. He looks different but is as loving, fun and carrying as all the other kids too. Later on Charlie started to speak professional and most recently as well one-on-one coaching. We got to talk about Depression and how it can be that people close to us can’t or don’t want to realise the problems we are in. Communicate, listen and read others. Being a victim and how to get out with small steps. “In doing nothing you choose to stay in the state you are in.” Being honest with yourself, learn the necessary skills and delegate without loosing or giving away control Awareness creates control in your life How hard it is to take life threatening decisions for you son (operations) How she wrote her book, why she started the charity and public speaking Biggest Learning, that she is good enough Gratitude routine Creative process writing her book and much more Creativity: People seeing things a slightly different way. Taking ingredients, ideas and create something exiting out of it. Having a vision & patience creating it. Being aware, brave and vulnerable. Her lack of patience is the reason she doesn't consider herself creative. Advice: Being authentic. Do work on who you are and what you want. Find the reasons that stop you to be authentic. Be honest and authentic about yourself, as long as you are not malicious or evil others will be inspired by you. What you might see as vulnerability others see as courage. #026 - Michele Matt - My Camper - How to become an entrepreneur
Todays guest is Michele Matt co-founder of My Camper. I know Michele from my mountain bike and cross country times in Switzerland were he stood out as the youngster that loved taking the risk and go downhill on a new path without fear. This attitude and family dinners were his father and grandfather talked openly about their entrepreneurial work, new markets, products or similar made it a natural step for Michele to become an entrepreneur. Colour: Blue. It reminds him of lakes, oceans, water and the sky. He enjoys the big space of possibilities when looking over the water or into the sky. The My Camper story started in 2014 after Michele and his wife took a trip with their VW Bus and they realised that it stands around a lot, why not rent it like AirBnB. Michele found Miriam and later Stephan and by spring 2015 a small version of My Camper started. For two years they worked evenings and weekends to keep the risk calculated and the cost low. By the end of 2017 the work grew so much that they couldn’t handle it anymore but it didn’t generate enough money to make a living from it. So they decided to go all in and quit their jobs. In 2018 they got their 1st financial round. For Michele the decision to go full in was coming from the heart. He didn’t want to look back at his life and regret it. For him creating something that helps and leaves an impact was important. Now the team needed to grow and 2.0 web version needed to be created. During that time the team got lots of strategic support from mentors, angle investors or from networking events. They also learned a lot through testing many things. In 2020 My Camper expanded to Sweden. They looked at the marked in Europe and other parts of the world and realised that the Scandinavian’s are best fit for their product at the moment. How much is a successful entrepreneur working? It’s not about the hours you work but the output and delegation and automation help a lot. What is your stress management? By doing sports, walking or running in nature, meet interesting people during the day, meditate for 10min (deep breath) and read. Advice Take one step at the time. Start lean with a low budget and 60-80% ready product. Test, test and test and find out what the customer wants. In the end you started a business to help your customer and not for you. Also for financing. It was hard and he had fear but then by taking one step at time you advance. it’s good not to know all that lays ahead. Sometimes things are much bigger than you think and they might discourage you to continue. Go to networking events and workshops. There you get good input and you might find business partners, mentors or investors Invest in yourself by reading like Warren Buffet does Imagine life like a boat on the big ocean. If you don’t know what port you aim for you’ll never reach it. You might get lost on the ocean. Therefor it is important to have goals and a vision as now you know where to aim for. #025- Alph Keogh - ONBoard All you need to know about starting out in work today
Alph Keogh is an author, facilitator, business coach, keynote speaker, an expert in leadership and career development. He enjoys business of performance, human performance, coaching teams and individuals as well leadership development and finding the “Purpose” for the organisation leadership. 3 Things about Alph: - He started running for a marathon 2 years ago - When he decides on something he’ll do it. e.g run a marathon, write a book - He did sport parachuting and - Reads a lot Colour: Purple. It is an unusual colour and stands out, attracts attention. He is definitely not grey and fits in In our talk we got to talk about his book ONBoard and the experiences and advices he has for how to improve ones outlook at work. We get to talk about leadership, business culture, how to prepare for an interview and many other business related topics.  Reading Advice: Don’t read business books from A-Z and don’t feel bad if you didn’t read all of it. A fantasy book, roman or similar should be read from front to back to get the story but not a business book. Business books are written so you can pick out the topics you need at the moment and then come back later for more if needed. Alph is reading several business books in parallel picking out what he needs. Why did Alph write ONBoard? The idea was to have a “Conversation Starter” with yourself or another person. To disrupt by giving you a new lens to look at the topic. He wanted an honest, authentic noBS book about working and what to expect at a workplace for young people. He felt that there was not enough written in an authentic way for the new starter. A book showing the pitfalls too in order to help you prepare and be able to have a good start into your career and happy work-life. Some highlights: Working in a company consist of 2 Parts. Yourself - the Team/organisation you’ll work in. Start with a reflection about yourself. “Who do you want to be?” “What are you really good at and enjoy?” Don’t get stuck with the wrong aspect such as salary & job title.  “The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persist in trying to adapt the world to himself. All progress depends on the unreasonable man” - George Bernard Shaw Innovation happens were the company meets the world. Unfortunately too many companies try to formalise innovation 2x a year with an event. Innovation should be an ongoing process and it should be driven from outside in and using cross fertilisation.  A good manager asks questions rather than demanding and giving answers. He/she’ll be consulting, interested in your work and inquisitive. Check out the reception, observe and learn. It is the 1st thing you see and it will give you a feeling of the organisation. The feeling needs to be positive otherwise it'll inform  Working Advice: Don’t expect but Engage, Learn & Prepare - What you do at work? - How is your team, your manager? - How are the relationships? - Be generous and learn to say “NO” - When you get stuck take action and move on Link: LinkedIN www.linkedin.com/in/alphkeogh/ Book: ONBoard www.amazon.co.uk/OnBoard-need-about-starting-today/dp/1784529087 Referred Books: Michael Gerber - "The E-Myth” - Series (Leadership Series) Bill George - “The Discover Your True North” Authentic Leadership Stephen Denning - “The Age of Agile” Jim Collins Level 5 Leadership

#024 - Anette Overgaard Nielsen - Not all art is to be analyzed
Anette Overgaard Nielsen is a fine artist with a MSc degree in fine arts from University of Arts in London and working at the moment as high school teacher at The Lifestyle College in Gudum Denmark. A single mom that has tried out many things and learned to listen to her intuition whilst creating art, teaching or giving fitness classes. At the college she teaches grown ups (age 35-70): Mindful drawing, Art painting, Yolates (Yoga& Pilates), Slumre tæppe (Singing DK songs& reading novels, talking about the content& meaning ), Debate (learn how to disagree in a respectful way) 3 Things that describe her - Open minded and curious, asking many questions & pushing the status quo - Active, enjoying physical movement & feeling the body, Feminine Fitness (Pilates, Ballet & Tai Chi) - Enjoys deep conversations - Enjoys learning, remembering facts & sharing them in an entertaining way. Colour Dark Blue like a deep lake & Melachony Creativity Anette doesn’t consider herself creative. Yet she knows she is as an artist. She doesn’t believe that everyone has to be, can or wants to be an artist. You are or your are not creative. Creativity comes in different ways: To be creative one needs to acquire the skills first and then one can create something new, explore the mater and try out many things. 1) Innovation, you need creativity to make up something new 2) Handcraft 3) Art. It’s not always something new. The chance to go deep, being honest, playful and good art many times takes time. Not necessarily for the one piece but the path and trials to reach the goal. Process of creating Art; Getting into the flow: 1) Enough sleep & rest 2) Undisturbed, undivided time for yourself & no pressure 3) Deadlines helps to focus to get things done. Can be self chosen. Laying in bed, relaxing and letting the ideas come. Her ideas, intuition comes from her belly, solar plexus region. In Yoga and Ayurveda the centre of creativity. Yet Anette doesn’t know that, but she can strongly feel it flowing from there. Her creative energy then comes out through her hands and she knows what to do. Also thanks to her education and the skills she acquired. One time a clairvoyant woman told her that she sees a lot of colours and creative energy emerging from all of her fingers all the time and informed Anette to learn to channel that energy otherwise it becomes negative. When Anette is in the flow she knows what to do, this can be for her art, teachings or feminine Fitness classes. She rarely prepares for her classes as she already has a certain level of knowledge and can just tap into it with her intuition what to do. Advice: Know to whom you share your ideas. Not everyone is supportive of your ideas or can help you to make them happen. If you share with the wrong person they might destroy the energy or your drive to follow and go through with the idea. They might push you down out of jealousy or fear. The right person on the other hand can help you to make it happen and give you extra energy. Call for action: Take some time for you. If you don’t have time then analyse your day, week and carve out that time for you. Then go for a car drive or similar all by yourself without a destination and be in your space. Links: Email. #023 -Sam Lister - Try and fail in many things to grow and find your path
A young entrepreneur from the US that has tried out many things and failed in at least as many. Sam is currently running his company “BLNK Slate Media” and creating video content for small to Fortune 500 companies for their social media platforms. What has been very obvious in this conversation was Sam’s attitude to trying out something new. His Moto is to go for what you want and invest in yourself, time and money wise and if you fail you know it was the wrong thing and then move on. As well Life-Life Balance. We all work so much so we should be doing something that we can identify with. 3 Things about Sam: - Outdoors, Snowboard, bike, Adventure and active - Video create, LinkedIN Instagram and TikTak - Snowboarding in winter with jumps and tricks; during summer longboard cruising Colour: - Mint green. 07E8B7 The colour came up when he asked a friend to help him rebrand. Sam wanted something in green, blue or teal. And then this special green came up which he liked as it reminded him of his track bike from school times. Young and running his own business: Sam had a father that is self employed and who has encouraged him to go his own way from an early age. To do what he loves. Some of his business steps were: Cutting gras for neighbours, At Age 14 Pizza Cook, then manager of the Snow Park& Ball park with 2-7 people under him. And at the age of 18 he started "BLNK Slate Media" using an iPhone and an entry DSLR His success can be traced back to: - Willingness and love to earn his own money - Going out and participating in business Networking events - Reach out to connections and learn from them and his friends - Not being shy to talk to people and saying yes even if he didn’t know how to do the job - Continuously trying something new, failing and investing and not being afraid of doing so Sam gets to share his stories on how he got to his first job, made his first video and posting it to LinkedIN as well how he learned in 3 days to shoot video with a DSLR without prior knowledge and nailing the job. Creativity: Everyone is creative. Sam’s creative strength is to talk. To be creative one has to be comfortable in failing while trying to create something new. It is a problem solving ability.  Test, fail, try again… And repeat. Advice: Test and fail more. Spend money on yourself. This is an investment in your growth and it will cost but you’ll grow. Sam for examples used all the money he earned and invested it into his growth and now his company. - Do something everyday. Momentum is ever
