Science With Millennials

This week we are talking about DOPAmine. We talk in depth about ADHD and dopamine, as well as Rachel's favorite skittle flavors and ranking. This one is another fun one, that also has a more serious tone to it. Be prepared for fun and education. 

This was our first recording of the year. Both of us were tired, and we're talking about aerosols. Enjoy.

This week on SWM we're talking about broccoli. It's random, but it's fun! In this episode both Rachel and I are feeling a bit under the weather with allergies, so if we sound less lively and our voices sound different, that's why. We talk about things that you never would have thought of about broccoli and what it actually is. So lets talk about some little green trees y'all! 

On this weeks episode of SWM we're honoring a listener request. We recorded this back in December, before the holidays, that's how long they have been waiting and it's finally here! Sage, this episode goes out to you, one of our biggest supporters and an avid listener. This week we talk all about Sage's favorite animal, which if you haven't guessed yet... it's sharks. In this episode, we're talking about sharks but Rachel is also moderately losing her mind from being tired. It won't disappoint.

Can you guess what this weeks episode is about? If you guessed mitochondria, you miiit be correct. Get it. Mit-be... anyways. This week we are talking about the powerhouse of the cell, the mitochondria. This episode is jam packed full of information about the mitochondria, and things I'm sure most of you never knew... because those mitochondria man, they do a lot more than just being the powerhouse. 

This is our first episode of the year, and we're talking about opossums. Rachel discovers another one of her past lives and we help to end the stigma against opossums. We explore what it is like to be disabled with a genetic disorder, what the genetic disorder is and what she has endured throughout. And of course, we talk about her personal experiences dealing with the diagnosis. She also talks a lot about her other comorbidities that come along with having this genetic disorder as well as just coming along with her being a person. On this week's episode we talk about how the Earth has a temperature problem (as you could probably tell from the title). We talk about the mishaps that have happened to escalate this problem and also what small changes we can make to try and reduce it even slightly.
