ASD: I'm Just Different and That's Okay.
DOPA!
This week we are talking about DOPAmine. We talk in depth about ADHD and dopamine, as well as Rachel's favorite skittle flavors and ranking. This one is another fun one, that also has a more serious tone to it. Be prepared for fun and education.
*Aerosol Noises*
This was our first recording of the year. Both of us were tired, and we're talking about aerosols. Enjoy.
Elements of Chaos
Synthetic DNA, because why not
Little Green Trees
This week on SWM we're talking about broccoli. It's random, but it's fun! In this episode both Rachel and I are feeling a bit under the weather with allergies, so if we sound less lively and our voices sound different, that's why. We talk about things that you never would have thought of about broccoli and what it actually is. So lets talk about some little green trees y'all!
Take The Shark To The Dentist
On this weeks episode of SWM we're honoring a listener request. We recorded this back in December, before the holidays, that's how long they have been waiting and it's finally here! Sage, this episode goes out to you, one of our biggest supporters and an avid listener. This week we talk all about Sage's favorite animal, which if you haven't guessed yet... it's sharks. In this episode, we're talking about sharks but Rachel is also moderately losing her mind from being tired. It won't disappoint.
ALSO - THIS IS EPISODE 30!? Thanks guys so much for hanging in there with us and being so supportive!
The POWERHOUSE of the Cell
Can you guess what this weeks episode is about? If you guessed mitochondria, you miiit be correct. Get it. Mit-be... anyways. This week we are talking about the powerhouse of the cell, the mitochondria. This episode is jam packed full of information about the mitochondria, and things I'm sure most of you never knew... because those mitochondria man, they do a lot more than just being the powerhouse.
Bringing in 2022, Opossum Style
This is our first episode of the year, and we're talking about opossums. Rachel discovers another one of her past lives and we help to end the stigma against opossums. They help with so many things and they're so cute! Listen to this episode for a fun time and a great start to your new year. We appreciate you guys so much and thanks for listening!

Rachel is Actually A Flamingo
This episode is a Christmas present to Coty's mom! She loves flamingos and we wanted to surprise her with something fun, educational, and a little bit flamboyant. So cheers to Cindi and she will be receiving this episode on Christmas Day. We talk about flamingos and Rachel tries to spoil next weeks episode.

BONUS! An Interview About Making An Eco-Impact
Listen to our main episode first, "Ecosystems and Phooootosynthesis" to learn about what we're talking about first.
On this special bonus episode, Coty takes over and has a 1 on 1 interview with Kyle from OH NO Disc Golf and his project called Cleanup Colorado. We take a deep dive into what Kyle is accomplishing and hopes to accomplish for the future, talk about camels of course (listen to the main episode first to understand), and the terrible dad joke of course.

Ecosystems and Phoootosynthesis
It's our listeners choice episode. You chose it on Instagram on our bracket poll that was about.... I would say a few months ago, but it's finally here! You voted on Ecosystems and now we have a fun episode talking about it. This is one of our funniest episodes yet, stay tuned for camel talk and much more. If you understand the SpongeBob reference in this episode and in the title you're the real MVP. Also be sure to check out the bonus episode that is coming out the same day as this one! Coty did a whole interview with Kyle from Cleanup Colorado on our special BONUS episode, so be sure to listen to that after this one!

Let's Get Elemental: Cadmium, Vanadium, and Gallium
In this episode of SWM, I've decided that we're going to do something special. Almost like a present. Randomly. And it's going to be a great time. It's another series called, "Let's Get Elemental". I'm going to close my eyes and point to three random elements on the periodic table and then we're going to TALK ABOUT THEM. :) This has a mixture of Name That Scientist and talking about elements, as well as a lot of jokes in between. Stay tuned, as these are going to be presented to you periodically. If you like what you're hearing, be sure to check out our other episodes as well.

We Get Real About Covid-19
This isn't the typical format that we take on for our podcast, but both of us have scientific facts that we want to get out and make sure that the misinformation is cleared up. There's still some dad jokes of course, and the article of the week as well. So please stay tuned, stay informed, and remember that others lives are also important, not just your own.

We're talking about something else that's going on with us! This time it's all about Orthostatic Hypotension. Are you wondering why we titled the episode this? Well, I guess you're going to have to listen to the episode to find out! There's a lot of Rachel bleeps in this episode, your favorite thing and a terrible dad joke at the end. OH WAIT - TWO dad jokes at the end. This episode is a nice little break in our DNA circuit, and next episode we will be continuing onto part 4! Thanks for listening.
According to Rachel, we are all mutants.
According to Rachel in this episode, we're all mutants, but we can't be X-Men. We go off on multiple tangents about genetic mutations, our vibes, and much more. And Rachel ruins my dream of becoming a mutant like Wolverine. Don't forget to check out our other episodes revolving around DNA, as this is part 3 of a 5 part series. And as always, thanks for listening.

Krause: Tree Hugger and MF’er… That’s Master of Forestry To You
Krause's Bio:
My name is Krause. I use they/them pronouns and I am currently finishing my Master of Forestry degree from Michigan Technological University's College of Forest Resources and Environmental Science. I am also the outreach assistant for my college, reaching out to prospective students interested in natural resources, agencies and companies in the NR field, and other colleges to collaborate and assure that students are on the right path to their dream career. I am from downstate, a little town called Freeland where I first met Coty in Girl Scouts! This is one of the reasons I became so interested in the outdoors, (the other was always being in the woods with my dad!) I went to Northern Michigan University for my undergrad where I got a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and minor in wildland firefighting. I have been a wildland firefighter for both the US Forest Service and the Michigan DNR for 4 years of my life now. I hope to be a forester out in the field for a while before getting a PhD and teaching back here at Tech in the future!

Loeys-Dietz and Rachel Bleeps: Rachel's Disability Story
On this week's episode of Science With Millennials we are talking all about Rachel once again, but in a different aspect. We explore what it is like to be disabled with a genetic disorder, what the genetic disorder is and what she has endured throughout. And of course, we talk about her personal experiences dealing with the diagnosis. She also talks a lot about her other comorbidities that come along with having this genetic disorder as well as just coming along with her being a person. Listen for the Rachel bleeps and Loeys-Dietz on this episode. And don't forget, in episode 6, Signal Lost, Please Try Again: Coty’s Epilepsy Story we talked about Coty’s struggles with her disability as well, so be sure to check that out! The Earth Has A Temperature Problem
On this week's episode we talk about how the Earth has a temperature problem (as you could probably tell from the title). We talk about the mishaps that have happened to escalate this problem and also what small changes we can make to try and reduce it even slightly. Don’t forget about our segment on NAME THAT SCIENTIST! As well as the dad joke at the end.

Talkin’ Plastic with OH NO Disc Golf
Join us in listening to this weeks episode of Science With Millennials, where we had a very interesting conversation with the guys over at Oh No Disc Golf. Eric and Kyle gave us some good laughs and we did the same for them. We talked all about plastic and about some other stuff too. Obviously some shenanigans ensue as well! And if you listen closely… we have another special guest. His name is cricket outside Rachel’s window that we didn’t notice till after we were done recording.
