3A Frienship, Problem Solving and Bullying
Listen to our third graders share personal stories and strategies they've learned to help solve small problems with peers and to address bullying behaviors. Students will describe different possible outcomes and highlight the benefits of a "win-win" solution to solving a problem. They will talk about the power of getting to know one another in turning "enemies" into friends.

2A- Kelso's Choices
Our second graders will walk you through a problem solving framework called Kelso's Choices. You will learn how to tell the difference between small problems and big problems, as well as be introduced to the nine strategies that Kelso (the program's mascot- a Frog!) suggests. These are great ways to help your child address conflict and problem solving at home too. Listen for examples of these nine simple and approachable strategies: Apologize, Make a Deal, Wait and Cool Off, Talk it Out, Share and Take Turns, Make a Deal, Ignore, Walk Away, Tell them to Stop.

1B First Grade - Feelings Zones
First graders guide listeners through the emotional literacy tool called the Zones of Regulation. In this framework, feelings families are organized into green, yellow, red and blue zones, helping us to better understand our emotions as well to develop coping skills that help us get back to the green zone when we are expected to be able to focus and learn.
