How do you find peace from within, when your inner child is being difficult? There are many ways your inner child acts out to get you to pay attention. It may be through being jealous, judgmental, fearful of rejections, self-doubting, hateful, depressed, angry, rebellious, and other inner turmoil feelings.
In this episode of Evolving Talk Series Podcast from last year, I shared some insights on why it’s important to look inside of ourselves and heal our inner wounds. Your outward reaction is usually an indication of how you’re feeling on the inside and shows you how much of a deep wound your inner child has suffered. Take the the time to address your inner wounds to heal from within.
This podcast is inspired by my book, Evolving Through Adversity. Check it out wherever they sell books, and let's heal together.

In this special weekend episode, I talk about the importance of minding our words, especially when words can hurt others or dehumanize them.
Words can heal, but words can also hurt. And in light of the insurrection at the US Capitol building on Wednesday January 6, 2021, and the resulting call to come together to strengthen our democracy, I felt a strong pull to sharing the reflections in this episode, to talk about the state of our democracy in the US, and more importantly, the state of us, as a community and as a humanity. The way we, as a society choose to use our words is a powerful tool at our disposal, and the words we say matter; or even those words we don’t say but need to say also matter.

Have you ever had your heart wounded? Does love heal all wounds? Find out in this romantic novel of love, healing, and redemption.
A Hand to Hold is a romance novel, but goes deeper than your unrealistic heroine and out of the sky prince. This is a story of trials and triumphs, swimming against the currents, and in the end, finding that happy place we all long to be.
Follow Adina, the story's protagonist, as she struggles with life's challenges, and in the end, finds that her happy place was within all along.
The novel is available on Amazon as an audiobook, eBook and paperback, as well as on Apple Books in the eBook section.
This makes a great Christmas gift for yourself and the ones you love.

In this special episode, I want us to explore the recent news of a COVID-19 vaccine, and what it means to some communities of color, particularly the African American community. In the last couple of weeks, two biotechnology companies came forward with news of a COVID-19 vaccine, saying that it is more than 90% effective. As many states are beginning to work on how to distribute COVID-19 vaccine once it becomes available, it’s also important to acknowledge the public trust or lack of trust, when it comes to vaccination, and particularly with regards to vaccinating African Americans' experiences.
I hope you join this conversation to share your thoughts on the vaccine news, and what you think we ought to do as a global community to get everything sorted out for the benefit of humankind. If you have expertise in public health or a related medical field, and would like to share your knowledge with our community, email me directly at: info@SecondeNimenya.com, and you could be my next guest on this Evolving Talk Series Podcast.

And always remember, who you are matters.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to share the release of my new book, “Unlocking Diversity: How to Create Inclusive Cultures in a World of Differences” with all of you. On this podcast episode, I share what the book is about, and why I wrote it. This is not about having all the answers to our diversity challenges, or being perfect in how we talk about race issues. It’s an imperfect work, done by imperfect people, and in an imperfect world. Dismantling racism and disrupting biases in the workplace, our government institutions, and our communities is going to take all of us.
So, thank you for being a part of my Unlocking Diversity community. Please rate, review, and share this podcast with your people.

I have exciting news! My new book titled, "Unlocking Diversity: How to Create Inclusive Cultures in a World of Differences" is coming out this summer.
This book is about everything I have learned when it comes to diversity, equity and inclusion, and how we come together to live our human experience, heal our racial wounds and help one another overcome adversity in our lives.
From race relations and disrupting unconscious bias to driving business growth in a multicultural market, this book is a toolkit to help spark conversations on race in America and around the world, and raise awareness in order to move from being unconscious of diversity issues, to advocating for equity and inclusion in the workplace and our communities.
You can pre-order your copy today as an eBook on Amazon or Apple Books. Stay tuned for release news.

In this episode, I sat down (before physical distancing was in town!) with my guest Tiffany Brinkley, MBA, to talk about financial literary and particularly as it relates to the challenges everyone is facing in our current times, and particularly the millennial generation. Tiffany also shared how she evolved through her own adversities from being a teen mom to becoming an entrepreneur in the financial sector.
