Meet our guest, Janani Devaranjan a 26-year-old second-generation Sri Lankan Tamil woman, who is making waves in the global fashion industry. Raised in the modest community of Morningside, Scarborough, her journey took a dramatic turn when she relocated to the affluent neighborhood of Don Mills, where she grappled with racism and isolation.

How did she go from being an outcast among outcasts, to working as a consultant for an internationally recognized luxury fashion brand, (one that competes with the likes of Louie Vuitton and Prada)? Listen to this episode to find out.

Kajeevan Anantharajah is a 30-year-old Canadian, born to Tamil, Sri Lankan immigrants. Raised in the troublesome neighborhood of Tuxedo Court, he has overcome poverty, violence, and access to education. Through perseverance and kind mentors, he has now built a successful career as a design consultant.

In his spare time, he pursues his passion for cooking, and recently became a meal prep chef for an award-winning boxer.

Krisoth "Kris" Gnanenthra is a 28-year-old Canadian, born to Tamil Sri Lankan immigrants. Throughout his life, he has worked tirelessly by staying committed to a host of extra-curricular activities, including music, religious classes, multiple sports, helping run a family business, and most recently, becoming a real estate professional.
