There's been a huge increase in the number of ransomware attacks over the course of 2020, with a seven-fold rise in campaigns compared with just last year alone, according to newly released data from cybersecurity researchers. If you’re using Windows Subsystem for Linux 2.0, you can now attach an external disk drive to your PC that is formatted using a file system that Windows 10 doesn’t natively understand, but Linux does—like ext2—and it will work normally, both from within WSL 2.0 and with File Explorer. Microsoft's surface Duo is now out!

Microsoft announced the prices for both its new Xbox Series X and Series S. WordPress File Manager plugin is being actively-exploited to permit full website hijacking.  G Suite users will now be able to edit, comment, and collaborate on Microsoft Office files on Android devices using Google's office productivity software. Chip production for the first Apple Silicon Macs is reported to be on schedule for launch before the end of the year. The increased power efficiency of an Apple-designed chip is said to provide an expected battery life of 15-20 hours.

Microsoft Patches 129 Security Issues, Android 11 is out now.

The U.S. Department of Defense announced today that it will move forward with Microsoft as the winner of its $10 billion Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI) contract. Microsoft has published today its monthly batch of security updates, also known as Patch Tuesday. This month, the OS maker patched 129 vulnerabilities across 15 products, ranging from Windows to ASP.NET. According to a report from Windows Central, Microsoft is working on a new 12.5 inch Surface PC. Google today announced the immediate availability of Android 11.

  3. Chrome 85 introduces a new compiler optimization technique known as PGO — for “Profile Guided Optimization.” Independent page loading benchmarks have measured a significant improvement in the browser's overall performance.
