Weekend Recap 6/29 - 7/3
Monday - My Daily Mental Reset Tuesday - Coincidences Aren't Lucky Wednesday - The 7/38/55 Rule Thursday - "You'll never know until you try." Friday - Life Goes On
01:47
July 4, 2020
Life Goes On
Wins and losses. Trials, tribulations, and triumphs. No matter what happens life goes on.
01:54
July 3, 2020
"You'll never know until you try."
We associate "trying" too closely with "succeeding". When you try something, the success is in the effort of doing it, in the process, not the result.
02:16
July 2, 2020
The 7/38/55 Rule of Communication
7% of your communication is the words you say, 38% is the intonation and how you say it, and 55% is in your non-verbal posture and body language.
02:12
July 1, 2020
Coincidences Aren't Lucky
When two things happen together they "co" (together) "incide" (occur). Who ever said that process was lucky? It's more logical that they were meant to happen at the same time!
02:01
June 30, 2020
My Daily Mental Reset
Every morning, just like a phone or laptop or electronic that isn't working effectively, I turn my brain off. Of course I restart it, but now with a fresh and improved ability to approach ideas and problems.

Have you ever noticed how creators and entrepreneurs are just a little different? They seem to live on the extremes and have a hot-cold relationship with a lot of things. In this interview, Jessica Carson dives into why that is, the underlying psychology of it, and shares a few nuggets from her new book "Wired This Way". Science and Spirituality with Dr. Sangeeta Sahi
In these difficult times it's natural to try to answer the uncertainty with science. But it may be a better idea to answer it with spirituality.

What Interests You?
Not what you do for work, or some general answer. I want to learn something new about you. What truly interests you?
02:28
June 19, 2020
"It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop."
What is most important is that you keep going. Slow is even better sometimes, but you'll never go anywhere if you stop.
02:01
June 18, 2020

SISD #28 - The Everyday Philanthropist with Dan Pallotta
Dan Pallotta has disrupted the non-profit sector because of one simple premise - He dared to dream big. Not only that, but he encouraged non-profits to dream big as well and get the support they deserve. It is very difficult to understand the non-profit world at first glance, but Dan has done an excellent job helping people know how to evaluate and support different charities. He recently released a book called "The Everyday Philanthropist" that details everything you need to know about your own charitable habits, and how they interact with non-profits. Dan is probably best known for his record setting Ted Talk "The way we think about charity is dead wrong". If you're interested in learning more about helping others through philanthropy, I highly suggest you check out Dan's work.
