100. Trust Yourself and Surrender to the Universe
Welcome to the 100th episode of Self Love Ignited!!! This is such an incredible benchmark to have reached and I could not be more proud of all of the growth and positive change this podcast has influenced so far. Do you find trusting yourself hard? What about believing in the Universe/God/Higher Power? Have you heard the term "surrender" around the personal development space but don't know what the heck it means or how you can get there? In this episode I tell you about a couple of times I've surrendered (the creation of the podcast is one of those times!) and how things have worked out better than I could ever have imagined.  Plus I give you a simple practice you can incorporate to build your trust in yourself, your trust in the Universe, listen to your intuition with ease, and tap into your ability to surrender gracefully. It's time to drop the overwhelm, reduce your anxiety, and build a life that's better than you could ever imagine. _____  Let's Connect: 💗 Website: 💗 Join the Heart Space Community on Facebook: 💗 Instagram: 💗 Book a Single Coaching Session:

Today's conversation with Renae Bartlett is all about food, health, and it's relationship to that of self love. Renae is not your typical Nutritionist. Her journey as a professional Soldier and competitive athlete formed part of her history with disordered eating, and it wasn't until she had her two daughters that she realised her 'healthy eating and lifestyle' was actually quite the opposite. Drawing on her own personal experience and her professional training in Intuitive eating and body image coaching, Renae now helps other women move beyond dieting and start living! 77. Embracing your Tiger Stripes, Motherhood, and Self Acceptance with Kate Whorlow
Bodies change with pregnancy, but when you've got a complicated relationship with your body to begin with, this can bring it to a whole other level. Kate Whorlow joins me to talk about her changing body image, how she learned to embrace her body and her tiger stripes through motherhood, and how she now finds herself at a place where she truly loves the woman she is, no matter what. This didn't come easy, and didn't happen overnight, but for herself and her children, it was well worth it. Kate Whorlow has been a Natural Healing Practitioner and Spiritual Wellbeing Coach since 1998, specialising in herbal medicine, aromatherapy and intuitive healing. Kate has been living with a chronic illness since 1994 and credits natural healing therapies for preventing her from ending up in a wheelchair or bed bound. Kate loves to help others return to wellbeing by utilising these therapies and also spiritual healing techniques during her coaching and wellbeing sessions. Kate has her own range of organic loose leaf herbal tea blends, originally created to help with the challenges of being a parent during long school holidays. The range has been extended to help people with anxiety, chronic fatigue, digestive issues and essentially keeping the body healthy and balanced. Above all else, Kate loves to help women find a way to put themselves first. Often we give to everyone else, believing that is our role in life, then forget to give to ourselves. Just five minutes a day for self care will give us the moment to breathe, be present in our body (grounding our energy) and recharge our physical energy, so that we feel calm, focused and ready to move forwards.  Living in Cornwall in the far south west corner of the UK, with her husband, two teenage girls, daft Sprollie dog and elderly cat, Kate loves to make the most of the natural surroundings especially the beaches less than 20 minutes from her, as well as wildcrafting (foraging) for local herbs growing in the region. _____ Connect with Kate 👉 Website: 👉 Instagram: 👉 Facebook: _____ Connect with Katie: 💗 Website: 💗 Instagram: 💗 Facebook:

76. Overcoming Body Hatred and Finding the Confidence to Get in Front of the Camera with Ange De Lumiere
Growing up in a family where she was the "pretty but fat" sister and constantly criticised for how she looked, todays guest struggled with her body image and self confidence from day one. These challenges followed her to adulthood, until one day she realised they were holding her back from reaching her big dreams as a mum and a business owner. She began the process of peeling back those layers and re-learning how to treat herself and her body with the love and respect she deserves. Recently the culmination of this work is that she was able to get a branding photo shoot done for the release of her new book and it was simply fabulous! Day by day her relationship with her body is becoming more kind and compassionate, and that beautiful blossoming is being reflected back in how she's showing up in the world. Ange De Lumiere is an autistic business intuition mentor who works with brilliant entrepreneurs who want to create success on their terms by helping them honour and strengthen their intuition. After a fifteen year career as a global mergers and acquisitions lawyer, Ange branched out to do what she calls her PhD in intuition. 74. Being Seen as a Business Owner When you Hate Your Appearance... Why "JUST BE VISIBLE" isn't the Answer.
Do you have an online business and you're avoiding posting photos of yourself and getting on video, and you can see that it’s impacting the way you’re connecting with your audience? If so, I can guarantee this block with getting visible is holding you back from getting results in your business. But what do you do about that? Do you just bite the bullet and post a photo (even if your inner critic is screaming "OMG YOU'RE TOO FAT, EVERYONE WILL LAUGH AT YOU")?? Uhh, nope. That's not gonna do it. Yes, sometimes doing things that are scary are part of the journey to being more visible and connecting with your audience authentically, but it's not just about the actions. You've got to transmute those sh*tty beliefs into new empowering ones. This isn't about adding more work and stress to your plate as a business owner. It's about stripping away the layers of crap that's been piled on you over your lifetime so that you can reclaim your inner, joyous, love-filled you and in turn create a connected, thriving business. 27. Someone Benefits when You Feel Bad About Yourself and Your Body
Chances are at some point in your life, you have felt bad about yourself and your body. Bad about how you looked. Maybe about your weight, your cellulite, your dimples, or your stretch marks Bad about what you wanted or needed. Bad about your desires and dreams. Bad about putting yourself first. This is unfortunately SO common amongst women. But have you ever stopped and wondered who benefits when you feel bad? The fact is that society and the media are constantly telling us to feel bad. Specifically looking at body image, we are always told that if we're thinner, we'll be happier. That if we can achieve that "ideal" body shape and size, we'll be more successful, we'll find true love, and we'll finally be confident. The truth is that if nobody benefited from this message, we wouldn't be inundated with it every single day. This episode turned into a bit of a rant on the diet industry (#sorrynotsorry) and really looking at the endless cycle they keep women in to keep the money flowing. When you feel bad about yourself, you want to feel better. They promise that their new diet is the quick fix to this, with the full knowledge that you are almost guaranteed failure. When this happens, you try again... and likely get the same result. But you are made to feel like there's something wrong with you, so you feel even worse. Only to start again on Monday morning... See where this is going?? Your failure is their success. But there IS a better way. I have an invitation for an upcoming virtual event that might just be what you need to turn this cycle around! _____ Get in touch with Katie here: 💗 Access The Body Peace Summit 💗 Instagram: 💗 Facebook: 💗 Free Members Hub

13. How to Make your Circumstances Mean Things that Support Your Growth
Your brain LOVES to make every little thing mean something - it's how we're hardwired. But are those meanings actually supporting you? For example: If you've gained weight, does it mean that you're lazy? Or that you're eating your feelings? Or that you've been working hard to bulk up at the gym? Is it good or bad? Inherently it doesn't mean anything. But you make it mean something! Same goes for changes in your health, in your work, in relationships - pretty much everywhere. We go through this in more detail as well as outline a simple process you can start using to make sure that these meanings are helping you and elevating you instead of dragging you down. By becoming aware of the meanings you are associating with different things and circumstances, you can elevate your self talk, transform your inner critic, and become empowered to really step into your best and brightest self. 10. Can you be Body Positive and still want to Change your Body?
Can you be Body Positive and still want to Change your Body? This is a BIG question... Many people in the self love/body positive community are shouting from the rooftops that you should NOT want to ever change your body or lose weight if you consider yourself to be body positive. I respectfully disagree. The way I see it, your body is always evolving, so if you'd prefer to lose weight (and/or work on your fitness, get a tattoo, etc.) for personal or health reasons, then you can choose to do that. By the same token, if you DON"T want to change your body, then don't. This is 100% a personal choice. If you are truly happy as you are, then just be! I am NOT in any way advocating that you should change your body. Simply that you are an autonomous person who has the choice and you shouldn't be ashamed whatever choice you make. But before you take this yes and run with it right back to the diet bandwagon or to a crazy workout regime, pause for a moment. Take some time to check in with these four pillars to ensure that you are being loving, kind, compassionate, and treating your body with the respect it deserves throughout the process.
