Chatting research and data with Sustainability researcher Dr Sukhbir Sandhu
Dr Sukhbir Sandhu is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainability and Ethics at the University of South Australia Business School. Dr Sandhu has a PhD in Strategy (Sustainability Strategies of Firms) from Lincoln University, New Zealand. Dr Sandhu has published nearly 50 research outputs in leading management and sustainability journals. She has also authored three highly cited books on social and environmental sustainability. Her research on organisational sustainability has been recognised by the prestigious awards around the world. Dr Sandhu teaches Ethics and Sustainability. She has won numerous awards for her teaching. (Outstanding Contribution to Teaching and Learning - Excellence Award, UniSA Business School, 2018; Finalist in Wharton-QS Stars Reimagine Education Awards 2017, 2016; Outstanding Contributions to Digital Learning Award, UniSA, 2016; Outstanding Student Engagement Award, UniSA Business School, 2016). Dr Sandhu has been elected to the leadership track at the Organisations and Natural Environment (ONE) Division of the Academy of Management. The Academy of Management is one of the biggest professional associations in management with 20,000 members in over 120 countries. Dr Sandhu serves as UniSA Business School lead for the United Nations Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME).

Sally Townsend is the Head of Advocacy and Alliances at Outland Denim. Sally’s background is in Education and Social Action.  She has more recently worked as a small business owner and itinerant speaker in the realms of female empowerment, modern slavery and education.  After launching and successfully running a number of smaller scale anti-slavery initiatives in the UK she welcomed the opportunity to work with Outland Denim in its earliest stages to now heading advocacy and alliances. Luke Faccini is founder and chief brand storyteller at The Sponge. He was born and raised in Sydney, and now lives in Brisbane. Since starting his professional brand design journey in 1999, he has helped thousands of people put their brands on the map. While beginning as a trained graphic designer, the entrepreneurial leap took him on a path of transformation. Banksia Ignite interview with Alan Dayeh from B Lab Australia
 Great conversation as apart of my invite to the Banksia Ignite event in Sydney in 2019. In this short conversation; we hear from Alan Dayeh from B Lab Australia. Alan shares some value insights into how to measure the SDGs once they have been implemented in the workplace. A common question from the SDG conversation.  Alan Dayeh has a career of over 20 years, holding roles in ASX-listed companies, management consulting and boutique sustainability firms. Most recently he was Westpac’s Head of Sustainability Governance, with oversight of the Group’s Sustainability Strategy, Risk Framework as well as their Climate Change and Human Rights Position Statements. Alan is now the NSW Managing Principal for Point Advisory, a specialist sustainability services company helping organisations to contribute to the SDGs. Point Advisory is both a signatory to the UN Global Compact and is also a Certified B Corp. He is also a Board Member of B Lab Australia & New Zealand since 2016, providing strategic and standards-setting guidance to the growing global B Corp movement.
