Empowering communities through Resilience with Simone Allan
Simone Allan is Director and Founder Women’s Resilience Centre and
Director Mondo Search & Mondo Mentor.
Simone’s upbringing was isolating and often filled with tragedy. At
an early age, Simone was always finding part-time jobs and seeking
her own independence and life mentors to support her. (Her family
of choice). Her studies BA (Psychology major) and postgraduate
studies in Human Resources led to a career in sales then founding
of an Executive Search Consultancy, Mondo Search which has
placed over 2800 key Senior leaders in business. One great insight gleaned from interviewing so many leaders was that those who succeeded often had great mentors.
Her background and experience came together with the founding of the Women’s Resilience Centre in 2020. It is her “ True North” bringing together so many initiatives that Simone has championed: Women’s Health, practical job readiness skills, sustainable recovery programs and mentoring.

Farting phones and posters that store CO2 with Nick Hunter and the Paper Moose
The road to lasting positive change requires many hats. Right now Nick wears all of these as co-founder of Paper Moose — a company that focuses on sparking positive change through creativity that continues to develop some of the most exciting new purpose-driven brands and effective behaviour change campaigns of recent years. Having built Paper Moose from first principles, Nick is passionate about creative problem solving and building better businesses that drive positive results for clients and the world at large. Nick co-founded Paper Moose as a production house in 2011 with a group of like-minded artists who wanted to produce their own creative ventures. After accidentally falling into advertising, Nick saw the opportunity to service a new kind of challenger business looking to deliver purpose-led product offerings to bigger markets. At the same time, Nick had become frustrated with the inefficient legacy systems of advertising agencies — endless pitching, outsourcing, double-handling — and transformed Paper Moose into a new kind of streamlined hybrid agency that focused on delivering increased agility, value and quality by creating everything under the same roof.

So much more than a ticketing platform for good - Joshua Ross Co-Founder / Director Humanitix
In this episode we're joined by Joshua Ross , co-founder of the tech platform that is not only a go to for so many events in Australia, but also our ticketing platform for our SEVENTEENx events, Humanitix. Joshua's story is almost a tech cliché, as you'll hear, working in garages, and family lounge rooms to get started, but with one stark difference. They we're chasing a dream to change the world for millions of people, instead of like so many tech companies, chasing millions to change the lives of their own few. And what a story!! ... inspiring, funny and honest yet also direct and focused.
The Humanitix story in their own words.....
Humanitix started as a pact between us to escape the corporate world and do something meaningful. Like many social entrepreneurs, we looked for industries with inefficiencies that could be disrupted - for good! Then it came to us: tickets! Event ticketing has always been frustrating for hosts and guests alike and everyone hates booking fees. Fast forward to today and we've transformed over $1M from those annoying booking fees into helping disadvantaged kids around the world.
