Donzell is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker currently serving as a director of a university counseling center at a liberal arts university. His professional and personal goal is to help individuals identify and overcome barriers that are prohibiting them from reaching their full potential. He achieves this through utilizing a culturally-humble, strength-base, client-centered approach to empowering and centering his clients and members of the community to process and resolve difficult emotions and situations in their life.

In this episode of #DearCollegeStudents, I will be talking to Billyne Francois. She is from Winter Haven, Florida. She’s a recent graduate from Florida Atlantic University and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. She began her academic career at Miami Dade College and earned her Associate’s degree in Mass Communications and Journalism. At Miami Dade College she was challenged and pushed to grow not only as an individual but as a woman. At Miami Dade College she cofounded, “Influential Ambitious Motivated Women,” which is an organization designed to motivate women of color who struggles in college. Billyne now serves as the founder of, “The Everythinger” which is an online publication made for black women. It is a place where black women can take a break and focus on their relationship with themselves.

While she works full time in a marketing position, she dedicated her free time towards her two businesses, B’s unique boutique and Fresh Remedy which is all-natural and organic skin care products. She aspires to encourage others to chase their dreams regardless of whatever obstacles they may encounter.

Andrew is one of the top upcoming business and brand consultants helping entrepreneurs monetize their passion, start their business, and manifest their five year vision. He is the CEO of Young Hustlers Under 40, an upcoming entrepreneur development network, and the COO of Chouval Brothers LLC., a demolition company. Andrew has helped write over 10 business plans, consulted over 30 businesses and entrepreneurs (barbershops, salons, restaurants, consultants, etc.) and spoken to over 150 students, over 100 adults, and over 100 entrepreneurs at various workshops, conferences, and events around the east coast.

Joselie will not only be talking about how she started getting involved in makeup but also why she believes that patience, persistence and never giving up is the key to accomplishing your goals.
Vickson Carvil: It's Easier To Be Who You Are!
In this episode of #DearCollegeStudents, I will be talking with Vickson Carvil. Vickson was born and raised in Dade County by Haitian parents. He is also the youngest of four children. He attended Florida Atlantic University in 2012 where he has been involved in several organizations on campus. He is a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Co-Ed Professional Business Fraternity, Incorporated and an Ice Cold brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. He obtained his Bachelors in Management Information Systems and enrolled into an accelerated one year program to earn his Masters in IT Management with a focus in Information Security. He is currently working in his field in cyber-security as an IT Security Analyst in Delray Beach, FL. Fun facts about Vickson is that he constantly in the gym, he loves sight-seeing and hanging out with his peers. He also stepped in high school and college and he loves babies especially his youngest nephew Jason. The quote that he lives by is, “You treat people the way you want to be treated.”
Keith Powell: Smile in the face of Adversity !
In this episode of #DearCollegeStudents, I will be talking to Keith Powell. Keith was born and grew up in Orlando, FL most of his life. He is a first generation college student and was raised by his mother and big sister who are the two most important people in his life, as well as his baby sister. He is a junior at Florida Atlantic University majoring in Political Science and minoring in Criminal Justice. He plans on infiltrating the government and fighting for equality for African Americans and minorities as a whole. He is a brother of Progressive Black Men Inc. and the current President of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
Marvel Joseph: Put Your Knowledge To Use !
In this episode of #DearCollegeStudents, I will be talking to Marvel Joseph. Marvel is a student at Florida Atlantic University majoring in Economics. Prior to transferring to FAU, Marvel was a student leader at Florida State University, serving as Director of the FSU Black Male Initiative which is a program created by the Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs to increase retention and graduation rates of black males on campus. During the 2018 Florida Legislative Session, Marvel was the legislative assistant to State Representative, Al Jacquet. Marvel served as a Diamond Summer Intern, working directly in the AIPAC Headquarters in Washington D.C. working within the political department. During this time, he tracked races within key congressional districts while also helping research legislation strengthening the US-Israel relationship. At FAU, Marvel has helped re-establish OwlPAC, a pro-Israel organization focused on educating student-leaders on the importance of the US-Israel relationship. He currently is working on a project in an effort to expand study abroad programs for HBCU students in the Middle East, in an effort to connect the black diaspora from across the world.
Edward Bennett IV: Take Heed to Your Calling !
In this episode of #DearCollegeStudents, I will be talking with Edward Bennett IV, MSW is a native of Parrish, FL and alumnus of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and Florida State University where he earned a Bachelors of Social Work and Masters of Social Work, respectively. Ed is currently pursuing a Ph.D. of Social Work at Florida State University where he has identified research interests as the psychosocial barriers impeding parental involvement in high poverty and low achieving schools. Previously, he served as Faculty in the Department of Social Work at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). While at FAMU, he taught in the undergraduate Social Work program, provided academic advising and mentorship, and oversaw interns in the school setting. Before entering Higher Education, Ed held employment as a School Social Worker, Inpatient Psychiatric Social Worker, and the Director of Kappa League and Guide Right programs in Sarasota- Bradenton. Upon completion of the Ph.D., Ed desires to serve as a Research Professor and consultant to ameliorate the phenomena of poor parental involvement in K-12 schools.
Tia Byrd: Love, Faith, and Dedication
In this episode of #DearCollegeStudents, I will be talking with Tia Byrd. Tia is a Liberian-American originally from Jacksonville, Florida. She is a junior majoring in Biological Sciences and has aspirations of attending medical school in the future. Love, faith and dedication are the main foundations of her life. Tia balances a heavy course load while also maintaining an active student life on campus. Currently, she is a member of One Mic Poetry Organization, American Medical Women’s Association and she also serves as an Executive Board member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. at Florida Atlantic University.
John Mitchell: Just Keep Going !
In this episode of #DearCollegeStudents, I will be talking with John Mitchell. John got into sports at a very young age and played soccer, football, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse. He got an athletic scholarship to play football at Florida Atlantic University in 2015. He graduated high school in 2016. He had to have back surgery because of herniated discs in 2017. He is currently playing in his third season and in his fourth year at Florida Atlantic University, majoring in biology and pre-medicine.

In this episode of #DearCollegeStudents, I will be talking with Miles Brinkley. Miles is a graduate of Stanford University, class of 2018, and currently serves as a technical consultant and account executive for a private cyber defense firm in San Francisco. Miles graduated Stanford with a double major in Political Science and Africana Studies, and plans to enroll in Law School in the fall of 2021 to pursue a JD focusing on corporate and entertainment law.
Chasity Spann: Focus on You First!

She is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and has earned a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Sociology. Chasity is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Public Health and Social Work while working for the Florida Department of Health. Although it all looks easy, the process definitely was not. Chasity will not only discuss her hardships while pursuing her studies, but also what keeps her motivated and her future plans, stay tuned!

He also is a recent graduate of Florida Atlantic University Information Technology and Management master’s program. Travon was involved in many organizations on campus and is a member of Progressive Black Men, Alpha Kappa Psi and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.

Gerald is a self-taught graphic designer. Some of the things that Gerald does is brand logos, apparel designs, cartoon avis, logo revamps, cover art and a lot more. Gerald was also the one that designed my cover art. Gerald will not only talk about how he started to get into graphic design but also what constantly motivates him to keep going.
Shemar Bazile: Don't Conform, Be Different !
In this episode of #DearCollegeStudents, I will be chatting with Shemar Bazile. Shemar is a junior attending Florida Atlantic University and majoring in Sociology. He is tremendously involved on campus. Some of the organizations that Shemar is involved in is the Black Student Union, National Council of Negro Women, FAU Esports team and Prestige Modeling Troupe. In his down time he plays video games and has recently started his own live stream gaming channel called, “Ugly Gaming.” Shemar will not only talk about how he became so involved on campus but also what inspired him to start his own gaming channel and some of the obstacles that he had to overcome in order to make it successful.
Aric Popun: In Every Dark Cloud There's A Silver Lining
In this episode of #DearCollegeStudents, I will be chatting with Aric Popun, a 23 year old graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and a minor in cognitive science. He talks not only about how he likes to do film photography, likes to travel, and enjoys learning and expanding his knowledge about different cultures. He also talks about the obstacles that he faced which were dropping out of college and having to enroll back in college, all while having to deal with the pressure and shame of his family life back home. Despite all of this, Aric has truly realized that, ‘In Every Dark Cloud There’s A Silver Lining.’
