Episode 101 - Shivani Kaushik - Defining your own Life through the Contemplation on Mortality, Caged Consciousness

Episode 101 - Shivani Kaushik - Defining your own Life through the Contemplation on Mortality, Caged Consciousness

Today on the show we talk with multiple award-winning human, Shivani Kaushik.  Shivani is a friend and fellow Social Work PhD cohort member and comes to the show to discuss DEATH & DYING!!! Super spooky and timely for this Halloween season 2021.  But all fear-inducing stereotypical culturally stigmatized thoughts about death aside, Shivani tells me about her work to bring dignity to the dying in correctional settings and her work exploring the benefits and effects of peer-support inmate-to-inmate programs designed to ease and assist in the natural dying process when in incarcerated settings.  We discuss some aspects of her Canadian culture in comparison to the United States including the private prison industry, rehabilitative models of corrections, and punitive models of corrections.  We talk about how important it will need to be in the future that we begin talking about death in a more constructive and beneficial way, rather than the current cultural programming narratives.

On today's fantabulous episode of the Conversations With the Mind Podcast, we speak with good friend, fellow Ketamine Therapist, and long-time explorer of Consciousness, Jason Sienknecht.  Wow, what an amazing show this was as we delved into the deep recesses of our individual and collective consciousness.  Jason reflects on his years of experience as a psychonaut exploring his and others' consciousness and he shares some of his most transformative stories of his journeys.  I ask Jason about his experience being a twin and if there are any instances of "strange happenings" between them through their shared genetic connections.  We talk about the modern addiction to mental illnesses in our Western Societies and how it is perpetuating continued individual and collective suffering at some of the greatest levels we've seen in history.  And lastly, Jason shares with us his passion for sacred texts and poetry and how it has helped him in his life for deeper self-understanding.

Episode 91 - Dr. Matthew MacKenzie - A Philosophical Journey Through Consciousness, Living a Wise Life, & Embodied Luminosity

On today's episode of the Conversations With The Mind Podcast I speak with my 'Metaphysics of the Self' professor at Colorado State University, Dr. Matthew MacKenzie.  Matt is the current Chair of the Philosophy Department at CSU and teaches a variety of interesting subjects including Metaphysics of the Self, Philosophy of the Mind, and takes much of his philosophical expertise from the Indian, Buddhist, and Contemporary Western Philosophical Traditions.  On today's show we discuss the Self and Consciousness at great depths and look at constructs such as; the Embodied Self, the Life-Mind Continuity Thesis, the Advaita Tradition of Indian Thought, and Emergence.  Matt talks with me about how he thinks 'Living a Wise Life' could look as a philosophy of living.  We parse out individualism and egoism and Matt tells me all about his upcoming book Embodied Luminosity which he is still writing and his personal philosophy of a multi-dimensional network-based self which is best explored through an interdisciplinary lens.  I hope you all enjoy this deep conversation and that you all find some value in the conversation.

Episode 90 - Spencer Bath - America is Not the America You Think It Is, Deso-despair, Parasitic Magic

Episode 90 - Spencer Bath - America is Not the America You Think It Is, Deso-despair, Parasitic Magic

Ready to go on a ride within the mind of Spencer Bath?  Well today on the show that is exactly what we do.  We talk about dozens of alternative theories on history as well as on today's events which I found very compelling to think about and consider.  We talk about the possibility that COVID and the way it is being handled is a planned action against the human population meant to divide and isolate us and prepare us for an ushering of further future restrictions.  We talk all things mind-control and dig into the history around this malicious practice as well as how it is possibly being used in today's world through parasitic magic.  Spencer delves into numerous topics that surround the potential of a 'great reset' and the 4th industrial revolution which includes globalism, climate control, and ideas that have been presented by some of the world's richest and most influential figures that, on the surface seem good, but may have ulterior motives driving them which could be disastrous.  He talks about esoteric politics, it's roots, and how our voting is a form of signing away spiritual energy and consent so that others can use them as they wish.  This and so much more!! Lastly, we talk a lot of solution.  We attempt to reduce the attitude of fear towards these topics and promote greater awareness and personal and collective healing and give some strategies to do so. Fun times.
