#0058 - The Au Pair Murder: Sophie Lionnet
London, England. September 20, 2017. Ouissem Medouni and Sabrina Kouider were not particularly well-liked by their neighbours on Wimbledon Park Road. They were inconsiderate, often leaving trash outside of their home for days and blocking their neighbours' driveways with their expensive cars. But while their antics could be irritating, they weren't that big of a deal. The couple tended to keep to themselves. One day in mid-September 2017, however, they were up to something that their neighbors just couldn't ignore. They had built a bonfire that was raging out of control, and it smelled terrible. Firefighters soon arrived at the scene, but no one could have prepared them for the horrifying discovery they would make. Instagram: @thc.pod

#0054 - Cork’s House of Horrors and Cork’s Missing Men
9 Wellington Terrace in Cork city, Ireland, once served as cheap accommodation to those that found themselves in difficult living situations. Late night, drug fuelled parties were common at the house and it was during one of these parties that events turned chaotic. Cathal O’Brien and Kevin Ball were last seen at the house in April of 1994 before they disappeared. And just a few months later, Denis “Patch” O’Driscoll also vanished without a trace. Was this just a terrifying coincidence or was someone responsible for Cork’s missing men? Tune in today to hear me unpack the gruesome, eerie details of this case.

Almost 40 years ago Baby John was found washed up on White Strand beach in Cahersiveen, Co. Kerry. The crime was pinned on local woman, Joanne Hayse.
The case quickly became a national scandal, with intense media coverage and public outrage. Joanne Hayes was arrested and charged with the murder of the baby found near Cahersiveen. However, as the investigation continued, it became apparent that there were serious flaws in the case against her.
The case sparked a nationwide debate about the treatment of women in the criminal justice system, particularly those who were unmarried and pregnant.

Robert Pickton’s Pig Farm
Robert “Willie” Pickton is one of Canada's most notorious serial killers. He’s admitted to murdering as many as 49 people but the number may be much higher. Pickton preyed on the vulnerable women in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside during the 80’s & 90’s. He was a wealthy farmer and owner of pigs which he used to his advantage in disposing of the bodies of the many that he murdered. Today I discuss the bizarre elements of this case, how Pickton's early life may have led to his later behavior, and how the police may have been able to end his reign of terror much earlier.
