Dealing with anxious thoughts and stress - with guided mindfulness meditation
All of us get anxious thoughts, especially when under stress - trying to ignore them or cover them up with food, alcohol, TV or social media only increases our suffering in the long run. In this episode we explore paying attention to our anxious thoughts - inviting them in, making them a cup of tea and listening to what they have to say. By being present with our anxiety we can reduce the impact it has on our wellbeing.  Meditation  can be used to reduce stress / anxiety, improve your mood and live a  more peaceful, fulfilled life. If you find it helpful, I invite you to  share with others and say hello!   If you're on Apple podcasts, you may wish to leave a review. May you be happy, may you be peaceful, may you be healthy and live a long life. With the current coronavirus lockdown, it's more important than ever to look after our mental health. All of us feel at times as if we could earn more, be better parents, have more successful relationships - but we don't need to be anything more than we are. Could you feel compassion for your enemy? Compassion guided meditation
Could you feel compassion for your enemy? Its not easy of course - we may prefer to feel anger towards those who we believe are unkind to us or others. We may also feel that our anger is helpful and motivates us to act. Thich Nhat Hanh tells us that to "love our enemy is impossible. The moment we understand our enemy,we feel compassion and he or she is no longer our enemy." As difficult as it seems, attempting to understand our enemies allows us to release our anger - while still being motivated to make the world a better place. Introduction to Mindfulness - Reducing stress and living a happier life
In this introduction to mindfulness, find out about what the practice is and how you can apply it to your everyday life.  Meditation can be used to reduce stress / anxiety, improve your mood and live a more peaceful, fulfilled life.  This introduction will cover the basics of mindfulness including guided meditation, walking meditation and how to be fully present through focusing on your breath. If you have persistent negative thoughts, mindfulness can turn down the volume over time and allow you to let go. It can also give you insight into the roots that drive the thoughts, offering relief from difficult feelings. Regular practice can also help you to manage anger, build closer relationships and develop greater empathy.  If you find it helpful, we invite you to share with others and say hello to us!   https://twitter.com/mindfulness_for https://www.linkedin.com/in/shaun-at-mindfulness-for-beginners-7b79a019b/
