In part 2 of our discussion with Hyacinth Burton, PhD walks our family through a DiSC assessment. So what does the DiSC measure? The DiSC assessment consists of a questionnaire that individuals complete to determine their dominant DiSC style. The assessment measures how a person tends to behave in various situations, their communication preferences, work style, motivations, and potential areas for growth. The four DiSC styles are:✨Dominance (D): People with a dominant style are typically results-oriented, direct, assertive, and confident. ✨Influence (I): Individuals with an influential style are usually sociable, outgoing, persuasive, and enthusiastic. ✨Steadiness (S): Those with a steady style are often supportive, cooperative, patient, and reliable. ✨Conscientiousness (C): People with a conscientious style are typically analytical, detail-oriented, precise, and cautious. Why take the DiSC? The DiSC shares insights into individual strengths, communication preferences, potential areas of conflict, and ways to improve interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
