No dog should live a lonely life in the yard.  You can bring them in but it takes work and you have to commit to doing it.  Listen in.  

How should you greet a dog that you've never met?  Do you automatically put your hand out?  Listen to see how it should be done.  

Are you a good listener?  Are you?  How about your dog, do they listen to you.  Listening is an art form that very few succeed at.  It takes work to become a good listener and it takes work to create a scenario where your dog will listen to you.  Listen along.  ;)

Space, it's yours and yours alone.  Only those who ask are allowed in.  That goes for our dogs, we need to protect their space. 

Most dogs will jump up to greet, it really depends on us to teach them not to.  There are lots of things that we can do to make it worse.  Learn how to stop the jumping.  

What is acceptable, not acceptable when out with your dog.  When in public we "dog people" need to respect others and their space.  

Barking, barking, barking...yes, it's annoying.  Hope this helps even a bit to get you on your way.

Do you know what your dog is trying to tell you?  Unlike us, most dogs are extremely talented at communicating; the problem lies with us not knowing what they are saying.  

Trust is a huge part of living with dogs.  Our dogs should trust us and there are many ways to build and break down trust. 

Dealing with a fearful dog?  You can help your dog starting today.  Acclimating, desensitizing or counter conditioning.  

Last year brought with it much chaos into our lives.  Both ourselves and our dogs have suffered from the fallout of the pandemic.  Lets work at getting some balance back into our lives.  It might mean some work but hey, we've got the time and our lives deserve it.  

Have a new puppy?  You can get started now with socializing, in your own home.  Then safely venture out when you're ready. 

Each and every puppy/dog is an individual.  Sometimes it takes us a while to get that they are all so very different.  Let your little individual shine and teach you all they can.
