During this weight loss journey we are going to start feeling more confident in ourselves and branch out a bit.  For me, it was solo camping. I had done it before and now that I was in better shape I felt it was time to get back out there.  However, even when we take on these adventures of doing new things or recreating old memories, just remember, it's not always going to be perfect.  It's ok though, because it's all about the adventure.  We need to keep trying to step outside of our comfort zone and try things we've always wanted to do no matter what size we are at now.  We deserve to have those adventures, but first we need to gather up the courage and start planning!

I discuss how the heck I got this far in my weight loss journey. As someone who always falls off track, crashes and burns, I'm very much in awe of losing almost 30 pounds in 4 months. I discuss what has made me successful in my weight loss and why this time is different. I discuss how I manage to stay almost consistent (consistent enough to have a loss most weeks anyway). I also talk about how I get back on track after over indulging. It happens and we just have to learn to not let it derail us or make us feel like a failure. We have to have some patience with ourselves to keep going! It's not a sprint, it's marathon, right?

Ever been on a diet program that talks about having a "Why?"  Has it been beneficial? Did that "Why" get you out of bed in the morning, steer you away from the brownies and cake?  Did it make sure you got to to the gym?  Personally, it did not for me, but I'll tell you what does keep me going and it's all about self-love.  This weight loss journey throws a lot at us and loving yourself along the way just makes it easier.  You have to learn to love yourself first and when you fall off track, giving yourself a break, makes it easier to get yourself back on track.  Or at least that has been my experience!

Your boundaries may be with your spouse for support in the kitchen, not going out to restaurants with friends anymore, or excluding the negative comments from others in your life. We all need to have an honest conversation with ourselves on what is going to help us and is not going to help us on our journeys. We can all use the hype people, but for those that aren't into hyping us up, it may be time to cut ties or talk with them to let them know how important this journey is for you.
