Episode 16 - New Pisces Moon with Wendy Groomes*

Episode 16 - New Pisces Moon with Wendy Groomes*

We’re seven days into Mercury Retrograde at the birthing of this Piscean New Moon.

Many of you’ve probably felt the initiations of Mercury slowing down the week of February 9th, just before the planet of communication turns “backward.” The pre-Retrograde time period sometimes brings a storm of chaotic energy just before it’s official.

We mention this Mercury Retrograde because it’s in dynamic union with this New Moon.

With both Mercury, the Moon, and the Sun in watery Pisces, we may feel more emotional than usual, or empathically sensitive.

Bear in mind, soul, + heart - Mercury Retrograde is not bad. It’s only when we as people, culture, businesses, etc. don’t adhere to the calling of retrograde energy that we tend to experience more bumps in the road than usual.

Mercury Retro wants us to REST, RENEW, RESTORE, REVISIT, RECONSIDER, REGROUP, i.e., take more naps, go on vacation, get a massage, unwind, breathe more, space out…stop forcing everything into forward motion—go with the FLOW!

Especially in Pisces - it’s all about going with the flow, AND we may need to have more boundaries to respect the inner sanctuaries that can be created, cultivated, and nourished at this time.

Although Mercury in Pisces can lack clarity, maybe giving mixed messages, lacking discernment (be mindful about spacing out too much with drink and/or drugs) its conjunction (aka > right up close) to the New Moon brings a new instinctual knowing, which births out of action/reaction to the various milieu of our lives— providing a perfect alchemical time for tapping into intuitive messages from our union with the Divine.

Mars moves out of fiery Sagittarius and into earthly practical Capricorn on the New Moon, lending ease and grace in establishing our desired changes to come forth, and asking for us to apply some elbow grease action as well towards nurturing our inner vision and our intuition in clarifying our personal role in the collective unconscious (Pisces).

Mars is also squaring Chiron (the wounded healer—turn into medicine, what your wounds have afforded you to bring forward as medicine - only healed! - into the world).

Mars wants to initiate. Chiron in Aries (right now) reflects the wounds of the masculine (too aggressive, not assertive enough, how to stand on their own without others). These two in a 3rd quarter square (see definition below) catalyzes a crisis of belief—a questioning of all motivations of prior actions. Detachment from prior social spheres may be required for healing to emerge.

At the same time, Venus (our inner self, our bodies, our money, our appetites, love desires)is also in Aries (do it my way, independence, hot) in a SQUARE aspect to Jupiter (expansion, benefic, blessings) in Capricorn (stern, knows its limitations, cold).

In Evolutionary Astrology, 1st quarter squares are considered, a crisis in action and asks, “what specific form do I take, in this time of great intense activity?”  This is an opportunity to forge foundations, asking who am I?

Venus will then move into a 1st Quarter SQUARE with Pluto (what we obsess about, what has us hooked, and what our deep, deep - maybe even - hidden desires are) so you may want to consider distancing from that which has a pull on you.

Squares create a conflict within or between two people or two organizations – essentially rubbing up against two very different energies. This uncomfortable energy is what drives us to grow, and make changes!  Celebrate if you can. *wink*

Episode 14 - New Aquarius Moon with Wendy Groomes*

“The evolutionary intent of the Aquarius archetype is to constantly embrace freedom. Freedom from the past, freedom from the known, freedom from convention, freedom from anything the has already happened. Freedom is the intent.” ~Ari Moshe Wolfe

What Does Aquarian New Moon offer?

In looking forward to the Equinox chart (March 21st), which has Aquarius Rising and Saturn @00 Aquarius, the upcoming Aquarius New Moon January 24th is prep and an invitation to rise above the heaviness of the 3D patriarchal Capricorn guise and envision what we want to create.

Of course, if we have karma or un-embraced areas of life that need attending, the Cap planets will call us to do so first and foremost.

Basically: what we embrace now and envision, we can move forward with a build (Saturn) by the Equinox.

Uranus, ruling planet of Aquarius is now direct. ALL PLANETS are in actually direct motion now, so it's full steam ahead for envisioning and establishing our future(s).

Actual chart
Aquarius New Moon sextile Chiron in Aries
Mercury in Aquarius
Lots of Air - so new ideas, possibilities for addressing our collective wound ideas on how to move forward now— all relative to where this lands in your chart.

Moon has just crossed over all the Capricorn influences (Pallas, South Node, Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn, Ceres) so build up—the Dark of the Moon (just before the New Moon)—will feel heavy…the energy will lift once the moon moves into Aquarius and joins the Sun.

URANUS in square to New Moon and Pallas - some kind of radical action(s) will come forward now, effecting the elite, money, humankind.  Aquarius energy shakes things up, so what needs to be loosened up a bit?

Venus with Neptune - dreams will be heightened and illuminated, or overdoing drugs, drinking, media addiction will be present. What we align with is reflective of reaching for the higher octaves of both Venus and Neptune (Venus is love, Neptune High Love), or standard illusory patterns of love.

Venus is still trine, though separating, with the North Node (what we are all cultivating now) in Cancer (ruled by the Moon).  How do we want to be nourished, cared for by self and others?  Cancer rules women, nourishment, nurturing, emotions, emotional sensitivity, breasts, and the stomach.

New Moon inconjuncts (disconnects) the North Node so there may be a disconnect towards our emotional body, emotional needs.  The trick with inconjunctions (called a Finger of God) is to apply attention to make a connection, it doesn’t happen on its own.

You got this! We got this!

Episode 13 - Prosperity From the Inside Out

Episode 13 - Prosperity From the Inside Out

In our last episode, we talked about money. Today, we expand on this tantalizing topic with a powerful teacher of prosperity.

Prosperity is a big word. It encompasses health, well-being, a sense of purpose - and it also includes money substance.  Kate and Toni invite Candice Gee, a financial consultant with a business management focus and entertainment-based client roster, to facilitate a discussion about the principles of prosperity.

We begin with the principles and then go deeper to talk about how to apply these principles in our daily lives. Self-inquiry and excavation are required to transform from a mindset of lack to one of abundance.

Candice is a visionary and has advised and educated innumerable individuals on prosperity, inspirational living, and the ‘how to’ in realizing financial independence.

This work can help you! And it may even CHANGE you. And if you change, everything in your world may do so also.

This prosperity work invites souls to excavate murky areas within themselves that have created stagnation, particularly where money is concerned. She brings to light the emotional underpinnings and limiting beliefs that often undergird our behaviors with money.

Ms. Gee is a graduate of the executive leadership program at the Anderson School of Business at UCLA and is an ordained Minister currently serving as Director of Membership at Agape International Spiritual Center. Rev. Candice teaches workshops on money and finance at spiritual centers and business venues throughout the United States.

GOOD NEWS: You have an upcoming opportunity to attend the Prosperity From the Inside Out workshop beginning February 12, 2020. Review the course description and register for the online class at www.modernwisdominstitute.com.

Episode 12 - Money, Money, Money!

Episode 12 - Money, Money, Money!

MONEY: In what will most likely be a topic we revisit because it’s so very hot, Toni + Kate take a dive into What, exactly is Money? How does it operate? And how do we relate to it?

Both Kate and Toni share about their upbringings, stumbling blocks, and perhaps even - moments of “winning” in their personal relationships with money.

We explore systems of money, money as a vitalizing force, paradigm constructs like the patriarchy, trickle-down theory, and proving worthiness through excelling at the game of debt.

We explore moving from living a life of survival to a life of thriving.

We touch upon soul-purpose and how that might relate to net worth.

We question humanity’s agreement on what money actually is, what it means, and what it provides.

And – we’re curious: what is Money to you? What does it mean for you and how do you interact with it? Let us know in the comment sections on your favorite podcast platform or toss us a note via our website or social media.

Join us for this financial appetizer as we begin to explore Money – a facet of the modern human experience which just about everyone on our planet must engage with.

Episode 11 - New Capricorn Moon with Wendy Groomes*

Episode 11 - New Capricorn Moon with Wendy Groomes*

The New Moon in Capricorn is Thursday, December 26, 2019

We have numerous planets now in Capricorn, as we build up to the Solstice (December 21/22, depending on locale) and the New Moon Solar Eclipse on December 26th.

Capricorn is Earth, Feminine/Yin. As we step into winter in the northern hemisphere, this is a time to be inward and rest as much as possible to restore the inner yin and Kidney chi. If you can find a Tai Chi or Qi Gong class in your area, it is a wonderful way to nourish and build (Capricorn) your inner resources, as well as the physical body strength--muscles and bones (Capricorn rules the bones).

Eclipses are windows in time, where endings and beginnings occur that are fated.

A New Moon occurs when the Sun and Moon meet in the exact time and space location/degree--what we call a conjunction in astrology.

The Sun represents soul purpose; the Moon reflects our emotional makeup.

With both Sun and Moon currently next to Jupiter (the amplification planet) everything is bigger, in addition to a heightened Eclipse energy, we’ll be highly attuned and sensitive for addressing our practical needs and anything that needs solid footing or foundations, particularly in sync with our soul’s directives.

This partial Solar Eclipse initiates us into 2020 with a clear grasp of what foundations we need to lay to foster our dreams and visions into physical time and space.

This New Moon is further supported by its trine to Uranus in Taurus (earth changes, definite change in weather patterns, surprising new ways or even eccentric means towards getting our needs met - financially and physically). With all these earth planets in action we can now take the visions we've had all of 2019 (numerology 3 - year of creativity) and put them into practical application.

Capricorn is all about practical stewardship of anything (our lives, a business, a community). Coupled with moving into the numerology of 4 in 2020 (down to brass tack basics, conscientiousness, responsibility, firm footing and solid foundations), we will all be embracing the basic realities of Capricorn and how we navigate this archetype. There is the consensus reality - mainly patriarchal, and a sovereign reality - empowered consciousness. No astrologer ever says Capricorn is easy, though it's all in how one navigates (ancient Capricorn is the Seagoat, so we do have rudders to assist in this time - more next Podcast about this!).

The merging of Saturn and Pluto on January 12th, just after the Lunar Eclipse on the 10th, marks significant endings and beginnings on personal and global scale. The archetypes of Saturn/Pluto together can be described as constrained explosion, or an implosion of structures that do not pass the test of time, or are false or superficial, lacking strength and truthfulness. Pluto is volcanic fire and any shaky foundations won't hold up to its power. Pressure (Saturn) will increase and match Pluto's deep velocity. The last conjunct of Saturn/Pluto was 1982 that brought a recession. And the one previous 1914 (which was a triple conjunction not to occur again until 2053) brought WWI.

Spiritually speaking, because of the planetary merging of these two "malefics," on the cusp of the coming Lunar Eclipse, this is a time to be in prayer and meditation, to be in practice to help lift up your own soul/life – as well as the collective.

Sending you All Solstice Light and Love,
Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, and Happy New Year!

Episode 9 - New Sagittarius Moon with Wendy Groomes*

Episode 9 - New Sagittarius Moon with Wendy Groomes*

The New Moon in Sagittarius is Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at 10:06AM Eastern

We are welcoming in a Sagittarius New Moon - it's a fun one! Optimistic, big horizons to lift our vision to something more expansive and aligned with your soul’s brilliance. Set your intentions!

Uranus (a 4th-dimensional change agent, future-oriented) is in aspect to the New Moon, Mars, Venus, and Jupiter, and is activating us to wake-up!, assisting us to have radical shifts in consciousness – what, precisely, are we aligning with? The contracted past energy or the wave of the Uranian future towards humanitarianism and the unknown--it's all based on what we are conjuring in our minds, hearts, and souls.

Just before the New Moon - Jupiter, the ruling planet of Sagittarius, comes into union with the Galactic Center (26 Sagittarius), a cosmic portal that helps us come into alignment with High Consciousness and the Natural Law component we discussed in our episode. This signals heightened psychic sensitivity to new information in consciousness coming in, supporting us in opening our perspectives, along with fertile providence if you are engaging in any sort of energy healing .

Jupiter also will be conjunct Venus, a very positive beneficial aspect — can bring money, success, prominence, big opportunity, depending on where it falls in your chart. In early cardinal signs (Capricorn), they touch into the World Point, which could put us on the world stage, so to speak, bringing our work out into the world with more visibility.

Additionally, Venus (money, relationships, the body) and Jupiter (vision, expansion, freedom) are in trine to Uranus (quick sudden awakenings, breaking free, changes, enlightenment). This is highly creative energy, helps us see things from a unique point of view, and brings new pathways into reality.

On November 24th, Mars opposes Uranus, and unexpected opportunities come forward that can be very helpful as well as new ways to rewrite personal patterns, along with an emphasis on earth changes (i.e., volcanoes, earthquakes).

Remember, we have an eclipse coming, just after the northern hemisphere Winter Solstice, which we’ll begin feeling one to two weeks prior. I'll share about it in our next New Moon episode.

New Scorpio Moon Tricks & Treats!

The New Moon in Scorpio is October 27, 2019, 20:38 PT/23:38 ET & October 28, 3:38 UTC

Surprises, possibly something deep, dark, and even shocking! You’ll definitely want to catch this New Moon’s episode.

Why? Because – in addition to what we addressed in our episode - the wildcard planet Uranus is in opposition to the Moon and Sun, which means something illuminating can birth forth. Uranus works with lightning speed, and in the light of this new moon, there is great potential for your higher mind to pierce any stuck emotions. Also, be aware that this could bring unexpected change.

We also have three additional planets in Scorpio - Venus, Pallas, and Mercury. Venus in Scorpio pulls us into the deeper themes of life, that which is hidden and unseen, to penetrate to deeper truth, the bottom line, to uncover what is brewing there - and thus what we may need to let go of, to begin anew.

Scorpio can be very secretive, withdrawn, and avoidant of deeper realms. If something within is calling you, access the courage and wisdom of Pallas to support. Be willing to reach for help. Scorpio can take us to the edge, so if you're feeling that way, don't hesitate to ask for help.

Venus in Scorpio loves sparkling clothes, funky sexy outfits, she is the Queen of Costume so have fun if you're attending a costume gala or party this Halloween and expect the unexpected.

Post New Moon, Mercury is on the verge of going retrograde for 3 weeks (Oct 31-Nov 17) - hold on to your hats - all the juicy stuff is coming to the surface!

FYI: Bach Flower Essence for Scorpio is Cherry Plum – excellent support for the deep dives!

Episode 7 - New Libra Moon with Wendy Groomes*

Episode 7 - New Libra Moon with Wendy Groomes*

Equinox (Sun Ingresses into Libra) Sacred Shift in the Seasons - Monday, September 23rd
Libra New Moon (Sun and Moon in Libra) - Saturday, September 28th

We have already entered Libra energy with Mercury and Venus traveling in the sign of the scales (communication with All our Relations is highlighted).  Then the Sun's entrance into Libra on September 23rd--the Equinox (equal day and equal night)--kicks off official Libra season, and then the New Moon follows on the 28th.  This year also includes Venus (Libra's ruling planet) emerging as the Evening Star in the night sky, the day after the new moon.

So this turn in the seasons brings in the social aspect of relationships--relating, harmonizing, mediating and fostering balance, justice, and peace.  This is the desire of Libra energy.  This desire can lead us to adjust to others desires (which can breed co-dependence--a much bigger conversation can be had here--or our projection of what we think others want) rather than honoring balance in relationships (which means we need to speak up, adjust by rocking the boat so we are inclusive of ourselves, while also including others).

This new Venusian cycle brings great blessings in alchemizing our heart's desire into literal form (we have lots of help now from Saturn moving in direct motion in Capricorn).  What are we seriously desiring to bring forward into reality?

The New Moon brings a rawness to it, as it opposes Chiron in Aries - many will be considering their deepest wounds around doing it all alone, never having support, being self-absorbed/self-centered chronically, issues around shining and difficulty individuating (becoming themselves fully).

Venus as Evening Star appears in Western Sky - Thursday, September 19th
link to learn about Venus Star - book coming out soon about Venus Star

The Venus Evening Star's presence now with the Sun, Moon, and Mercury in Libra brings significant beauty even in the midst of many conversions, chaos, change, which we will feel building throughout the month, we will seek out fairness, justice, and balance in relationships.  Arguing or reacting to others may arise also with Libra planets squaring Capricorn (non-violent communication and the like are excellent tools for healthy relating).

The call now to transmute the ancestral/familial/cultural past (Saturn, the South Node and Pluto in Capricorn) in combination with New Moon asks us to break new ground, courageously, while following our heart's desire.  New partnerships/relationships will form at this time (businesses, marriages, cooperatives).

September 24th through October 2nd
Mercury and Venus square Saturn, the North and South Node, and then Pluto - collective skipped steps (karmic reckoning in our relationships to self, others, value systems, monetary systems, the Feminine--personal and collective).  Squares bring friction/conflict which forces necessary confrontations (internal and with others) of what needs adjusting (also tends to bring collective irritation)

October 6th through 14th

Sun squares Moon, South Node, Saturn & Pluto
These are sobering times--more about this in the coming SHE Spotlight New Moon Podcasts.

Episode 5 - What is the question?

Episode 5 - What is the question?

3 September 2019 – What is the question I want to have my life answer? In this episode the discussion covers infinite listening and consciousness. Dr. Clara Mosley is recognized by many as a mystic, one who possesses excellent clarity, divine insight, and phenomenal intuition. In honoring her gifts, many affectionately call her Ma Mosley. She conducts classes, workshops, personal counseling, sacred ceremonies, and speaking engagements. Over the years Ma Mosley has masterminded numerous ongoing Wisdom and Goddess Gatherings, and through her practitioner (wise counsel) practice, she has inspired many.

Her focus is directing individuals to their own magnificence, through an integrative approach of science, philosophy, and spirituality. Dr. Clara is a licensed and ordained minister, holds a Masters degree in Religious Science, and a Ph.D. in Metaphysical Science.

Clara Mosley was born in Louisiana. She’s proud of her southern roots and often reflects on lessons learned during her early years of living in a segregated society, under Jim Crow. Her parenting mother, Bertha, while having no formal education, was brilliant and wise. She taught Clara essential life lessons, particularly how to relate to others, or as Bertha would say, “How to do." Clara acted as an intermediary for her parents in literate matters, as neither could read or write. These encounters piqued her interest in behavioral psychology, which she would later include in her formal academic studies.

Dr. Clara continued her academic studies at Santa Monica College, West LA College, and UCLA. After attending Unity churches for several years, in 1991, she began attending Agape International Spiritual Center. Soon after, she enrolled in practitioner training at United Church of Religious Science headquarters (Founders Church) and graduated with a license in 1993. She served for many years in Agape’s Practitioner Studies/Education Ministry, eventually becoming a Lead Instructor. Next, she entered the City of Angels Ministerial Program while simultaneously earning a Ph.D. from the University of Sedona - Metaphysical University.

Currently, Dr. Clara is the Ecclesiastical Director of Guidance Church of Religious Science in Los Angeles, California.

Episode 4 - New Virgo Moon with Wendy Groomes*

Episode 4 - New Virgo Moon with Wendy Groomes*

27 August 19 – This Super New Moon is closest to earth than any moon all year, so it's a powerful time to manifest (Virgo is Earth, which includes the material world). New Moon is the time to plant seeds of intention, albeit intentionality is good at all times.

Write out your dreams, visions, intentions and create a ritual around them if you're drawn to, to bring clarity in co-creating with the Universe, and the Sacred Virgo Virgin energy.  Perfect time to nourish the inner mind, inner sanctuary, especially just before the New Moon (the dark of the moon we are releasing the past and awaiting the new moon cycle to begin – the day before and hours before).  It's best to wait to begin new projects until the new cycle has begun.

First weeks of Virgo are considered very lucky (grand trine with Taurus and Capricorn)!  Excellent time to begin a new business, and bring your creative project down into practical manifestation.  Virgo time is wonderful for cleaning up any area of your life, cleaning out the closets, editing a writing project, initiating new health program, yoga routine, eating healthier.

Where this New Moon lands in your chart is where the Virgin shows up profoundly for you now.  With Mars and Venus traveling together through September 13th, so this could be a new relationship, or a new job, or a new way of approaching your spiritual practice.  The mystical dreamy aspects of Neptune will be in direct relationship with all the Virgo.  Be sure to utilize her discerning nature, so not to get caught up in the illusion/deception of Neptune's shadow qualities.

Even if the challenging Virgo patterns, that we delve into in the podcast, are present for you this new cycle will help us get things in order for a lovely new beginning.  With all the planets in Earth, we could see some movement of the tectonic plates, thus be in direct communication with Mother Earth, and nourish her in conscious ways.  Enjoy the Sacred Virgin energy, and invite her devotional sweetness into your heart, mind, and soul.  She will meet you there.27 August 19 – This Super New Moon is closest to earth than any moon all year, so it's a powerful time to manifest (Virgo is Earth, which includes the material world). Episode 3 - Tongue-Suicide

Episode 3 - Tongue-Suicide

Toni Morrison's legacy is a beautiful demonstration of the power of language. In her 1993 Nobel Prize acceptance speech she analyzed the dangers of "tongue-suicide." Tongue-suicide is the "rousing language to keep citizens armed and arming; slaughtered and slaughtering in the malls, courthouses, post offices, playgrounds, bedrooms and boulevard."

That's where we start our dialogue today. How do we heal and recover from tongue-suicide?

Episode 2 – New Leo Moon with Wendy Groomes*

Episode 2 – New Leo Moon with Wendy Groomes*

This is a SUPER NEW MOON, because the Moon's orbit is in very close proximity to Earth.  The Moon will look bigger than usual and the ocean tides will be high around the globe.  And so will our emotional bodies, in quite profound ways.

Why? Because this Lion's Gateway time (July 26-August 8) is enhanced due to Venus joining the Sun and Moon in Leo for this NEW MOON, along with Mars. We will experiencing an infusion of heart-centered energy, available to transform areas of our lives that need an upgrade in LOVE: SELF-love, creative projects, or something we've wanted for long time and haven't felt the courage to move forward with it. Now is the time. The portal available is exquisite.

Be sure to get the support you need. We've been moving through mega clean-up as the karmic axis in Cancer/Capricorn was intensely activated in July.

Also, the first two weeks of August are a great time for vacation and enjoyment. Things will lighten up for most of the rest of August. Allow this NEW MOON to enlighten your inner being and outer life.

16 July 19 – What is the “Feminine Wave?”  Joining us today in our first dive into this very alive and kaleidoscopic phenomena, is journalist and author, Cate Montana.  Her book, Unearthing Venus, details a life-altering conversation with an Ecuadorian Shaur-tribe Medicine Man that set her on a nearly two decade examination of discovering and understanding her own feminine nature.  We’re also shouting-out Kate’s (Rodger) contribution, “I Goddess,” to the new book All You Need is Love.
