In this episode, I take a walk over some old ground. This stuff has come up for me again - about chasing my desires, and breaking out of my comfort zone - and I thought that if I needed a reminder, maybe someone else out there does, too.
I talk about comfort zones, identifying what my "gut feeling" sounds like, and prioritising the things that make me feel whole.
Let's not make our homes in the comfort zone - let's keep pushing the boundaries of ourself and see where life leads.
There's a lot of awareness around toxic positivity online and, in this week's episode, I explore the concept of toxic gratitude. Gratitude journalling, and using gratitude as a means of becoming more aware of what you have rather than what you lack, can be a wonderful tool for transforming one's mindset. However, in the wrong context, can it become a toxic trait that serves to undermine our own feelings and desires? Let's catch up and talk about it...

Launching this new series of the SheUncensored Podcast, I wanted to begin with this episode as I’ve finally hit the inevitable 3-0. But, before I get stuck into a new decade, I wanted to take some time to reflect on what I learnt throughout my Twenties. There was a lot to think about but had I been told some of these things ten years ago, I may not have been so hard on myself…
Anyway, I’m here to pass on the things that have helped me over the past ten years in hopes that they may be able to help you, too. We discuss on the idea of your twenties being the golden decade where you get everything done, living life a little more slowly, and how it’s absolutely, positively, ultimately acceptable if you do not have your shit together…Me, neither.

A new weekend approaches, and a new episode is here! This week, we talk about gender expectations with the differences between masculinity and femininity. This links into what I have been learning in lockdown, including the discussion of minimalism and the core belief of living intentionally. (I'm also interrupted by my guinea pig and, if you listen closely, you'll be able to hear my guinea pigs in the background having their own conversations...)

Self-Love has been bounded around social media for the last few years and tends to focus on the basic care - eating well, having a bath, and face masks. All well and good but, in this week's episode, we explore the idea that self-love is also doing the hard work of confronting yourself, of learning when to quit, learning when to grit your teeth and carry on, and how it can mean a temporary moment of pain for a future of freedom. Self-love doesn't feel like love all the time.

In this episode, we discuss the power of telling your story and connecting with others. We seem to think that other people's experiences invalidate our own - another way comparison likes to creep up on us - but after this week's episode, I hope that you feel much more confident in the power of your narrative, how you got here, what you went through, and how you can inspire others. As Ram Dass says, we're all just walking each other home...

I’ve never been good at meditation or anything that requires sitting still for long periods of time but, lately, my new practice has been 'seven minute meditations.' This week, I talk about what happened when I tried to meditate and share the feelings that came up when I finally made time to sit and listen to myself. We discuss the idea of being enough, our lives being the perfect springboard to dive into ourselves, and how to practically find our own truths hidden beneath the layers. We also touch on topics of love, compassion, and exploring the defence mechanisms we’ve learnt from experience. Mentioned in this episode are two Podcasts - Happy Place and The Motherkind Podcast. If you are interested in listening to the episodes I refer to, these can be found on my blog at www.sheuncensored.com
In this week's episode, we explore the concept of people pleasing and how it shows up in different ways in our lives.
Getting completely vulnerable, I explore the ways in which it showed up in my life at a time when I least expected it!
Using this example, we also explore the reasons as to why it's so important to find your support system in family, friendships, and other relationships. Wrapped up in this topic is, of course, the idea of vulnerability - how does people pleasing stop us from being vulnerable? How do we show up as our true selves every day? Where do we find the strength to throw away the mask and be ourselves? We explore all the wonderful paradoxes that come with being human and how we can live as our authentic selves.
In this week's episode, we talk about success, and life being a series of choices we make.
Feeling unmotivated to make changes in your life? How can we create healthy, disciplined routines that take us to the next level in life? What does success mean for us? How do we create a life that we want, within the situations we currently live in?
If you want a dose of inspiration to motivate you to get what you want in life, keep listening!
In this week's episode, we discuss the idea of labelling emotions as 'positive' and 'negative' and whether this is truly helpful when we need to talk out the tough stuff. We talk about being surrounded by the right people who can hold the space for us, what this looks like, and also what this time of social distancing can teach us about ourselves. Prepare to dig deep and honour the feelings that make you wonderfully human.
In this episode, we explore every day stresses and the idea of being present during those moments to understand what's causing it, and how we overcome it. Drawing upon personal experiences, we can learn how better support ourselves during stressful moments and the positive changes we can make to our lives through harnessing the power mindfulness, self-awareness, and self-compassion.
In this first episode, we explore the reasons why we are so scared to chase our dreams and go for what we truly want. Of course, fear has a huge part to play but how does fear show up and what is she trying to save us from? We'll figure out what we can do during this time of lockdown to explore our heartfelt longings a little more...
