Stories of Shiksha Prayas

Balram studied at FTC Kanhai. He is a talented artist excellent in arts and paintings and was given the title of ‘Picasso of Shiksha Prayas’ in Shiksha Prayas news letter. He got multiple rewards and recognitions based on his art work. He completed his 12th in 2021. Due to financial constraints he had to drop for a year but in 2022, Shiksha Prayas supported him to take admission in Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) at Amity University. He is currently pursuing BFA 1st year. He is a focused, hard working and thankful student aspiring to be a professor in arts.

Rahul comes from a small village in Haryana and had limited financial resources to pursue his big dreams. Through his hard-work got into NIT and after that pursued civil services exams. He fought various failures to get back on track. Rahul is now working with Central Government as Excise Officer. Shiksha Prayas supported his studies as well as provided encouragement when he needed it most!

Narender studied From class 4th till class 8th Narender at Free Tuition Centre (FTC) Kanhai. He studied B.Com. from Maharshi Dayanand University. In 2019, he completed an MBA in HR from Kurukshetra University. Shiksha Prayas sponsored part of his education expenses throughout his higher studies.Narender is currently working in a HR solutions company. Narender says Shiksha Prayas inspired him to contribute to society and teaches few students after work hours

Mohd comes from rural background from Haryana and completed class 12th in Science (Biology) and went for Diploma in Medical Lab Technology but his family ran into financial crunch and he had to quit this course. This is when he came in contact with Shiksha Prayas and with some support from us he was again able to pursue his dream. Mohd A. then completed M.Sc. In Clinical Psychology and now pursuing Ph.D as well as having successful career in Medical field. 

Babli started studying at FTC Kanhai and completed her 8th in 2008. Along with regular studies at the Free Tuition center, she also learnt competitive behavior. She was amongst toppers in FTC classes and school. She completed her B.Com and joined a Real estate company. She then switched her career path to Digital marketing and is now succeeding in this field.

Vishal is working with Ecommerce and supply chain company as senior analyst. He studied in Govt school till 8th and then had to start a part-time job. He continued his studies through distant learning. He has now completed BBA and wants to pursue MBA in Supply Chain Management. Vishal has many happy recollections of shiksha prayas. He was always motivated when he received awards for his accomplishments. Shiksha Prayas also helped with his non-academic requirements and felt like a family. He wishes to actively support Shiksha Prayas.

The story of Manpreet is one filled with inspiration and motivation. Manpreet's journey with Shiksha Prayas started in 2015, when she was in 6th grade. After joining, she went on to do exceptionally well in her Class X. She's currently doing Diploma at Guru Gobind Singh Government College, Siwan. She is in the 3rd year, working passionately to complete her degree. She is a confident girl and has won multiple district level competitions on public speaking. Deepak is currently working with an event management company which manages many well known music industry personalities. Deepak attributes his competitive spirit to Shiksha Prayas for his Journey from  a small village of Taraori to Bollywood. During Deepak’s schooling, his family situation was not too good since his father was unwell. Deepak did Polytechnic diploma, followed by BTech and started technical jobs in multinational companies. He did not enjoy the jobs and continued to explore options of his liking. Deepak credits Shiksha Prayas for the continuity of quality education, focus on studies and competitive exams.

Varsha is a B.Sc. Psychology Honors student at GJ University of Science and Technology, Hisar. She aspires to become a successful doctor after completing her MSc and MPhil in Clinical/NeuroPsychology. During her middle school, Varsha’s parents were not financially stable. She joined FTC in class 6 and studied there till 10th class. Varsha scored 84% in class 10 board exams. Till 12th class she studied in Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Siwan.

Ritika is currently a teacher at the same Kanhai Center where she studied. She plans to pursue MSc Life science from Lucknow University and wants to become a professor. Ritika has always been a bright student and needed a bit of helping hand in her school days. Ritika was enrolled at our Kanhai center for class 6 to 8 and then was enrolled with us for Scholarship. She scored well in class XII. Went for B.Sc. Zoology Hons from Govt college for Girls, Gurgaon and joined Shiksha Prayas as Teacher.

KhushiRam is currently working with the state government in a government college and aspires to become a teacher. KhushiRam’s parents worked in farms and had limited education. Khushi Ram had an inclination towards studies and was excited to hear about the Free Tuition Center. After his 10th grade, he got scholarships from Shiksha Prayas for 11th and 12th tuition classes. He also got a scholarship for JBT ( Junior Basic Training for jr class teacher training) from Government College and for competitive exams’ coaching classes. Through rigorous hard work he cleared many exams for Govt jobs. He pursued various jobs including teaching at FTC Siwan. His biggest strength is his will and determination.

Piyush is working with an IT company as a technical architect. Piyush’s family had a humble background and was going through a financial crunch while he was in school. He was excellent in his studies and Shiksha Prayas along with Prayas.com supported Piyush for his BSc and MCA degrees. Shiksha Prayas mentors also provided him guidance about selection of the right subjects, right stream and right career path.

Deepak is working with a Road construction company as deputy project manager. He studied in Taraori Free Tuition Center from 2004-06 during his 8th to 10th class. He used to work at a garment shop along with his studies. He is very thankful to Shiksha Prayas for timely support. When he gets a chance, he visits the Free Tuition Center and interacts with students to encourage them to focus on their studies.
