Come with me down the rabbit hole.  Join the though experiment where dollars coming from the Federal Government are dyed red forever and other dollars are regular green. 

What do the red dollars represent?

Who has them?

This will form the basis of understanding why the US Government spends itself into debt and how that makes rich folks richer.  Don't tell me where I am wrong.  Show me where I am wrong.  With math. Yes, this is a challenge.  

You think you know what "government spending" means.  It's evil waste and pork barrel projects for fat cats with friends in Congress.  

Pshaw. 

Government dollars land right next to hard earned paycheck dollars in the cash register of your local grocery store or outdoor retailer.  In fact, some of the most successful retail stores in America have made billions of dollars partly on government money spent by ordinary citizens in the form of Food Stamps, Social Security, military paychecks, Medicare and other programs.  You can't see it because the dollars are all the same shade of green as any other dollars.  

Come along while we follow a few government dollars as they are spent buying apples and ammunition,  Many hardworking upstanding citizens take a little as it goes by.  Legitimate pay for legitimate work.  And a few people skim a little bit off a lot of dollars and get really really rich.  Do you know them?

Dollars migrate.  They move and flutter about like birds.  They tend to move in certain directions.  They arrive when you "make money" and leave when you "spend money."  The key is to get them to tend to migrate towards you and stay.  You can't just take them as they go by.  That would be stealing.  You want them to come your way and stick around.  

In this episode we learn about dollars.  They are fungible which means they have no unique identity or fingerprint and they are rescindable which means you can spend them over and over, 

Then we talk about farmers who make money when you buy a loaf of bread but not as much as you might think.
