Romans 8:26
Romans 8:24-26
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:23
Romans 8:23-24
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
Romans 8:20-23
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Romans 8:20
Romans 8:19
Romans 8:18-19
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Romans 8:17
Romans 8:15-16
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God…
The Cross - Say Goodbye
Jesus challenged all humanity, even his disciples with the truth. We cant trick people into the kingdom Jesus said ( If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. Luke 14:26 ) We have a call that God wants us to finish. We have to count up the cost from the beginning in order to finish the work. Our sure ground for victory is in the revelation of our commitment to live by the truth of the Cross.
Romans 8:15
Romans 8:14-15
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Cross - Love Not The World
What we love we begin to look like, our affections are not for the worlds system. If we we fall in love with the things of the world we will surely become a slave to the ruler of the system and the god of this world. Satan wants to steal our affections with the things that are not eternal, he wants to replace. When our affections are set on this world there's a blindness that comes that keeps us from seeing the beauty of the gospel. We must choose to detach from the world that we may see the glory of the Son of God, love not the world that we may preserve Him!
Romans 8:11-13
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Romans 8:10-11
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
The Depth Of The Cross - Relationships
Confessing Jesus before men is deeper than just a public confession, we have to stand in Christ and with Christ at all times. We cant sell Him out, He loved us to the degree that He shed blood and was tortured for us, He demonstrated His love for us fully and completely, identifying with Jesus over anyone else should be our desire because not one person on this earth has died the death and paid the cost to prove their love to the degree that He has. He is worthy our love and loyalty!
Romans 8:8-9
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Romans 8:5-8
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
The Cross - Self Same Life
As believers it is not about having it all together, it's about willing to expose ourselves willing to bring the real us before the real God. Exposure to death is necessary and the Cross of Jesus Christ is an instrument of death, when we choose the Cross we are embracing death to the flesh, we are choosing to kill the flesh intentionally. We are choosing to live a life by the spirit and as we do that the flesh dies and it weakens. The truth is that our flesh can long for something out of this world. Our flesh can long for God and desire the presence of God. We have to choose life over darkness and live our best life through our Lord Jesus Christ!
Romans 8:4
Romans 8:2-3
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh…
The Cross - Death To Self
Following Christ requires us dying to ourselves taking up our cross in order to follow Him. There is no life in self, anything that originates in self is an abomination to the Lord. Our greatest enemy is the nature of self. We have to willingly choose to take up our cross and follow Him! When we forsake we gain and following Christ is not cheap but Jesus is worth it and He proved His worth by willingly laying down His life for us!
Romans 8:1
Romans 7:23-25
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
The Cross - Self Preservation
The greatest thing that becomes a hindrance to be in full surrender to God and to walk in obedience is the fear of death. Self preservation is rooted in the fear of death. Self preservation is offensive to the will of God. Self has to die, self will never be able to conquer self. There is only one remedy to overcome self and that is to bring self to the Cross and to allow the power of the Holy spirit to destroy the self life. Jesus Christ took the power of death, He took the keys and set the captives free. You and I, He took the authority over our greatest fears. He is Lord over all!
Romans 7:18-22
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man…
Romans 7:14-17
15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
The Cross - Sons And Daughters
Our foundation should be built on the eternal truth that is found in Gods word. Sound doctrine keeps us sound, sound doctrine keeps us grounded. We have an inheritance as sons and daughters however, the relationship and commitment is to His Lordship.
Romans 7:7-13
8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
Romans 7:6
The Cross - It's Supposed To Hurt
Surrendering is painful, but it is worth it! When you can surrender it all from the beginning, you can be free indeed in every area. Jesus Christ paid a great price for our salvation, He was tempted in every point yet without sin. God requires your life from the very beginning, this truth is vital in order to experience the fullness of the power of God in our life. It might hurt because it's supposed to but it is worth letting go, and as we do we should be honored to be counted worthy of suffering for His sake!
Romans 7:5-6
6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
Romans 6:23 - 7:4
7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Behold The Love Of The Cross Pt.2
We love Christ because He first loved us. All love for God must be biblically proven. As much as He values affections and sentiments even more so than soulish expressions towards Him - The greatest act of worship we can give Him is our heartfelt willing obedience. It is impossible for us to truly love Him without first understanding to what degree He first loved us. The motivation that we should have to take up our cross and follow Him daily is the love that He has for us.
Romans 6:20-22
21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
Romans 6:17-19
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
Behold The Love Of The Cross Pt.1
Beholding the love, understanding the Cross and the profound sacrificial love revealed through the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ, who carried the weight of our sins, willingly embraced the Cross and became obedient unto death. He conquered sin and death, offering us redemption and eternal life. His suffering should inspire us to deeply appreciate the magnitude of His love and the extent to which He was willing to go for our salvation.
Romans 6:17
Romans 6:16
Romans 6:14-16
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Romans 6:12-13
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Romans 6:10-11
11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:6-10
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
Romans 6:6
Romans 6:4-5
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection…
Romans 6:3
Romans 5:21 - 6:3
6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Romans 5:18-20
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound…
