What’s Fueling You? Understanding your power | Morning Motivation

Have you ever wondered why there are three different types of fuel at the gas station? At the gas station, they’re usually labeled as Regular, Mid-grade, or Premium. However, What is the difference in octane levels?

Have you considered what your fuel source is for this season? The same fuel that your neighbor uses may not be the same fuel that you require.

Spiritual Retargeting

Spiritual Retargeting

Imagine this: You're scrolling through social media and you notice a product or service that interests you. You stop your scroll and click on the product or service, but you decided not to buy. All of a sudden you begin to see that same product all over your social media now!

I'm sure you have experienced this before and it's called retargeting. Once you have shown interest in a product or service, that Company begins to focus its attention and efforts on you. They’re specifically targeting individuals who have expressed interest or who have engaged with their content within a certain period of time.

But did you know the enemy does the same thing? Here are a few things to remember about spiritual warfare and how you’re targeted.

CheckMate

CheckMate

There are six different types of chess pieces. Each side starts with 16 pieces: eight pawns, two bishops, two knights, two rooks, one queen, and one king. Every piece has its purpose and every piece is important in its own way. Becoming a good chess player involves a strategy of course but it starts with knowing the characters in the game.

What do you think is more important? Understanding how the different pieces move or understanding why it moves the way that it does? I think it’s more important to understand HOW each piece moves. Because when we're playing the game it doesn’t really matter WHY They move the way that they do, only HOW in order to win.

If one of my pieces is overtaken by my opponent, then I need to understand how to play my best game with the pieces I have available.

You have to understand the pieces that you have around you in life...Lets discuss those pieces!

Understanding your Circle: Social Homeostasis

Understanding your Circle: Social Homeostasis

"You are the average of the 5 people you spend most time with."

“You’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with”. However, there’s not enough time spent on “why” this is important and how it can help your growth or hinder it: The phrase insinuates that the people that you spend the most time around are the people that you will most likely resemble. However, what if you’re not around the “ideal” people? What if you want to use this concept in order to strengthen your circle or avoid the inevitable friction that will ultimately come with growth?

The Journey of the Dream Chaser

The Journey of the Dream Chaser

We wait for others to make sense of our purpose, decode it, or make sense of the path that is best for us. However, no one will see your dream the way that you do. No one can make your vision a reality if you don’t first move into that reality conceived in your dream.

It's about how to live life without regrets, and to really go for what you want. If you're not sure if this episode is for you, just ask yourself: "Am I ready to be all that I can be?" Ready? Let's do it.

Whats Your Crutch?

Whats Your Crutch?

I'm not talking about addiction to drugs or alcohol. I'm talking about that one thing you do that's robbing you of success, happiness, and fulfillment. Sometimes we don't realize it's happening until the damage has already been done. But once you're aware of it, it can be exposed for what it really is: a weakness.

In this episode, I discuss the importance of building a strong foundation for your life and how to ensure your crutch is slowing you down.

I have learned how to walk twice in my lifetime, and both times the legs and brain act as though walking was a new phenomenon. I have gone from a wheelchair to a walker, to crutches, and then a cane. But what if I decided to continue using the walker even if I was done healing?

Every Hero has a Villain: Know your enemy (Superpower Series 3/3)

Every Hero has a Villain: Know your enemy (Superpower Series 3/3)

Every hero has a villain. The more powerful you are, the more resistance you'll come up against. But in order to understand your enemy, you need to know their history.

The goal of this episode is to give you some insight into what motivates your opposition and the approaches. So when they attack, it's easier for us all to fight back!

I grew up reading comic books as a child. I loved Marvel and DC Comics which featured some of my favorites from X-Men to Superman. One thing that everybody knows is where there is a superhero, there is a villain not too far behind. The dynamic is always interesting yet entertaining because of the relationship between a hero and a villain. It’s a diabolical bond, of which they spend so much time trying to defeat/stop one another that they learn everything about the character. How they think, feel, interact in society, and worse of all sometimes they even know the hero's true identity behind their mask or costume.  Join us as we look at some of the enemy's favorite tricks and tactics.

Superpower Series 2 of 3: Lightbulb Moment

Superhero movies and television shows have become increasingly popular over the past several years. One thing that rarely changes in the story is the “lightbulb moment”. The lightbulb moment is that point when the hero or heroine realizes that they have power. That moment when they realize that they can do something unique that those around them aren’t capable of doing. But with that power, comes even greater responsibility.

This episode will help you understand how to have your lightbulb moment so you can discover who you are!

10,000

10,000

You are probably wondering, what is the ten thousand rule? Well, it's a simple yet powerful idea that can change your life. It's been used by many people to do everything from lose weight and stop smoking to build businesses and skyrocket their careers. I'll explain how it works in this post.

The Ten Thousand Rule states that you should try for 10,000 hours of work before pursuing something else or taking an easier path in life. This will give you extensive knowledge of your field if followed correctly and prepare you for success when trying new things or going after bigger goals.

In this episode, we're going to explore why the Ten Thousand Rule has helped so many experts achieve their dreams.

Hardest Rule

Hardest Rule

Do you know what's hard? Sometimes the most challenging rule to follow is simply showing up. It sounds simple enough, but it really isn't always that easy given the circumstances.

A lot of people have probably been there before, and maybe they'll be able to relate better if we talk a little bit more specifically about some other things going on in life at the same time.

What is the hardest rule you had to follow yesterday? Not just from a workplace standpoint, but how about morally, or some emotional, spiritual or mental standard. We'll talk more about all the layers and how they impact you.

In this episode we'll discuss is manifestation real? how does it truly work? and what's the "magic" behind the scenes pulling the strings, capable of making all your dreams come true!

Learning to Think: Debunking the biggest Myth about Money

Learning to Think: Debunking the biggest Myth about Money

What's the biggest myth about money & Sucess? Disclaimer: The idea that you can't change your mindset is a lie. You can change it, and in fact, you must!

We spend so much time talking about what we should do with money. But the most important thing is how you think about it, not what you actually do with it. Listen to this episode to find out why your mindset matters more than anything else when it comes to making a lot of money.

First, we all have to go through trials and tribulations in life. It's not easy but it's necessary for growth and improvement. Second, everything happens for a reason - even when you don't know what that is at first glance. Mindset is key! We must evaluate how we think about ourselves, money, and others as well.

Embracing yourself-Attack of the Doppelgänger!

Embracing yourself-Attack of the Doppelgänger!

Do you like yourself? I don't mean do you think you're a good person, or that your hair looks nice today. I mean the whole package: inside and out.

It's really common to feel like you're in a constant battle with yourself- either for your own identity or against something that might make you unhappy. But this isn't just an issue of self-acceptance - it can be a sign of something bigger going on inside our minds and bodies.

Fortunately, there are ways to work through these feelings and heal from them!

In this episode, I share my thoughts on embracing your uniqueness. The more you do, the less you will worry about what other people think of you. And in turn, the happier and freer you'll be.

Perfectionism and procrastination - The Tightrope to progression

Perfectionism and procrastination - The Tightrope to progression

Perfectionism is a problem for many people. It can be paralyzing and lead to procrastination, depression, and anxiety.

Many of us have perfectionist tendencies, but just because we all do it doesn't mean that it's good or healthy for us. In fact, perfectionism has been shown to cause problems with work productivity as well as personal relationships.

This Episode tackles perfectionism and how it might relate to procrastination. We explore what is the difference between perfectionism as a way of living, from those who are more likely to have a just-in-time approach. This talk offers some help in understanding this very common problem that affects so many people, but then goes on to offer an even bigger hope for change - if we choose to accept it!

Endurance

Endurance

Have you ever tried a new diet and it actually worked for a little while? How about working out, doing a regiment that involved building your endurance up. One of the things about building your endurance up is that you have to push yourself at some point to do just a little bit more than you did previously in order to condition the body to the subtle change.

However, when we get a rhythm going and we fall short, it is that temporary defeat that discourages so many of us.

In this episode, We’ll discuss, why it’s so hard to stay motivated. We’ll also talk about what role endurance truly plays in our daily endeavors, and how to maintain it.

King of The Parking Lot

King of The Parking Lot

When I first learned to drive, it was required for those who were of the age of 15, to take Driver's Ed. My parents didn’t have the patience to teach me how to drive, so driving school was a great idea for them also.

Needless to say, I managed to survive Driver's Ed and learned to be a pretty good driver. However, how good of a driver would we be, if we never left the parking lot? What if we never even started the car up and just sat in the parking lot, “talking” about driving?

Good drivers are made on the road, not in the parking lot. In order to become better, an expert, or simply experienced we must be willing and able to get on the road and be challenged by the twist and turns of the journey were pursuing.

In this episode, we’ll discuss the different types of comfort zones and which type will keep you trapped in the parking lot.

Pressure from the Bottom

Pressure from the Bottom

One of the reasons our ears pop when a plane is landing is because the air pressure is increasing. Therefore, the air pressure is literally pushing pressure unto the eardrum and the Eustachian tube can’t react fast enough!

Something similar happens when swimmers or scuba divers are going underwater. The weight of the water above the swimmer increases upon them the deeper they go. They are not only experiencing the pressure of the water but the complete sum of the air and the water above them combined!

In this episode, we’ll discuss how/why various seasons in our life will apply the most pressure. Especially those seasons spent near the bottom. In order to make it to the top of your game, you have to understand PRESSURE.

Altitude Part 2 - Why its Lonely At the Top

Altitude Part 2 - Why its Lonely At the Top

A lot of people may not know this about me, but one of the most random things on my bucket list is to climb a mountain. I’ve even researched the altitudes of various mountains and spoken to people that hike & climb regularly. One of the things that I was told from several sources is to be mindful of the thin air.

When you’re at a higher altitude the air is less compressed making it thinner. This thinner air can make breathing more difficult, simply because there is less air to breathe, especially if you’re not conditioned (or acclimatized) to the environment.  The air is much different down below making higher altitudes harder to prepare for if you’ve never experienced it

In this episode, we’ll discuss your pursuit to reach the top and why/how you must train for it from the bottom.

“Rock Bottom will teach you lessons the mountain tops never will”. However, preparing for the mountain tops at rock bottom will teach you lessons that focusing only on rock bottom never will.

Altitude Series (Part 1) – Exploring the Core

Altitude Series (Part 1) – Exploring the Core

Before we had maps and navigational systems to help us find our way through this world, there were people who surveyed these uncharted lands documenting their new discoveries. They embarked upon newfound territories exploring the beauty and dangers of the earth. From the mountain tops of the Barberton Greenstone belt in South Africa to the waters of the North Pacific Ocean, there has been so much learned, with yet so much more to be discovered.

Life is too short not to love yourself, yet too long not to learn yourself. If you never experience the ocean view from the staircase at the Duomo in Amalfi or explore the Jardim Botanico in Rio de Janeiro perhaps the greatest upset would be never exploring and learning the world inside of YOU. There will never be another destination that holds what you hold or knows what you know. The valleys and peaks of your life may seem

In this episode, we’ll explore the importance of learning who you are and why Self-Love is so toxic in the wrong hands.

Lazy Luxury

Lazy Luxury

Welcome to the era of Lazy Luxury, where everyone craves "the life" but loathes the work!

Everybody wants to live a life of luxury, without ever first living a life of leverage! Ben Kinney once said there’s a difference between leverage and luxury.

Although there is such thing as having too much leverage, leverage oftentimes comes before luxury.

In this episode, we’ll explore the difference between leverage and luxury, and how you can have them both without losing it all!

Too often, we spend time in a lap of luxury that we can’t afford. That type of champagne taste on a beer budget isn’t luxury at all, it’s actually laziness.

Box with God

Box with God

Box with God When is the last time that you reminded yourself, that your arms were not long enough to box with God? How often do you submit to the fact that you can’t move faster than the architect of speed or outwork the inventor of labor? You can’t out-think the designer of thought, outsmart the king of intelligence, but that doesn’t stop us from trying. There’s an enemy that has been roaming the earth thousands of years before your existence, working diligently.

In this episode, I’ll be talking about being mindful of your mind, as well as being aware of your abilities and your limitations. Because you may be a plug to a gift or ability, but it means nothing without the power source.

Flea Circus

Flea Circus

I was watching a “Different World” with my wife recently (one of the greatest television shows ever btw lol) and one of the main characters Dwayne Wayne was speaking to his students about fleas in a jar. Every day they would jump up attempting to get out of the jar, but they would hit their head on the lid. One day after many days the lid was removed. However, by this time the fleas no longer attempted to jump because they had been conditioned to the lid still being on the container.

The fleas were now free to leap, but the fear of bumping their head and of being kept in the jar kept them from leaping. A lot of people in society are still in the Jar. Regardless of your race, society has done a wonderful job of keeping the majority of the population in a jar without a lid because it's more productive for the “system”.

In this episode, we’ll dive into the crabs in a barrel mentality. How we become like a flea circus and the components that make the show operate.

We’ll also explore areas of opportunities to escape the “trap”

Alignment

Alignment

A lot of times we judge the methods others use for personal development without analyzing what they’re training for and why they’re training. On the other hand, some simply use the right remedies for the wrong problem!

Everybody is not spiritually enlightened, Emotionally intelligent, mentally healthy, or physically active. Just because you’re strong in one area, doesn’t mean you aren’t weak in another. The same exercises that are used to strengthen one facet of your existence, won’t always strengthen another. Hence why doctors, pastors, trainers, life coaches, and therapists are separate professions. Understanding the difference helps us to understand the multiple layers of our existence that need attention.

In this episode, I’ll be discussing why our Alignment is everything, in regards to success!

What Would I Tell Myself?

What Would I Tell Myself?

What if you had one day to live over again, what day would it be? There are moments in all of our lives that we would live over again, some joyful and some more somber, but what can you do to live today in homage to yesterday and in memory of tomorrow?

I don’t believe that life should be lived for the past but sometimes it’s impossible not to be motivated by what has come before in order to achieve what will be. The past has passed, the future is still being written, but the present is yours to live in.

If you only have today to live for, what will you live for?

This episode isn’t about dwelling on the missed opportunities of the past, but seizing your current opportunities before THEY pass! If you only have today to live for, what will you live for?

A Matter of Time: How to handle change

A Matter of Time: How to handle change

In life everything is a matter of time, especially change.

A train travels across the country from New York California in about three days’ worth of travel. When a Blue Whale is hunting for food, it can dive as deep as 1640 feet, yet can only stay submerged for up to twenty minutes at a time. Between 18 months and two years, a baby can have as many as 50 words in its arsenal, yet it takes a lifetime to articulate to different types of people.

It takes a plane about four hours to travel from Cleveland, Ohio to Los Angeles California, and 46 days to run across the country (according to the man who did it, Frank Giannino Jr.) However, it takes a second for human life to change.

In this episode, we’ll discuss if a change is bad? What should we expect from change? and how should we prepare for it?

We are all aware of time and we are all aware of distance, yet we all take for granted how short the distance and time can be from some drastic change occurring in our lives. Sometimes these changes can be bad, although we often hope for the good. But are we praying for preparation?

Gremlins: Why Emotions are so powerful

Gremlins: Why Emotions are so powerful

It’s imperative to understand why emotions are important, especially when they have the capability of transforming into gremlins!

In 1984, there was a movie titled Gremlins, an American comedy horror film about a young man who receives a strange creature called a mogwai (gizmo) as a pet, which then spawns other creatures who transform into small, destructive, evil monsters. These creatures were spawned once they became wet, and would then turn into hideous hell-raising little monsters.

Do you know what happens to caution when our caution, securities, or reservations are fed the wrong substances? They morph into fear & anxiety creatures that wreak havoc on our daily endeavors. It’s foolish to think that any emotion was created without some good purposes to it, but when these emotions get watered, they have no choice but to grow and in certain cases, these emotions in full growth form can be quite hideous.

In this episode, we’ll discuss how our emotions can be transformed, how that impacts our day-to-day existence, and the best methods to avoid creating a monster within!

Vision Blockers: Biggest Obstacles in Life

Vision Blockers: Biggest Obstacles in Life

Vision is one of the most important things, you'll need to help you navigate through the biggest obstacles in life.

When a lion goes out to hunt food for its pride, what is usually somewhere in the wild watching and waiting? There is usually a predator waiting to steal the meal that they didn’t work for & wasn’t meant for them! I think that the same thing happens with the vision for our lives, however, the methods of keeping you from the vision are so much more deceptive & devious.

One of the tools used is stagnation, and when our minds are frozen in a state of fear, doubt, anxiety, or uncertainty we won’t even move on to the vision.

In this episode, we’ll discuss some of the biggest obstacles in life, and how to deal with them!

Meal Prep: Feeding Yourself Spiritually

Meal Prep: Feeding Yourself Spiritually

What do Meal Prep and Success have in common? Today we'll discuss the correlation between the two!

When I was a kid, my mother always packed my lunch for school. Sometimes I hated it because I wanted to eat what was being served at school, or I just didn’t want what I had. However, when looking back at it I appreciate it because I always had food prepared. Even now I prepare my meals so I don’t have to worry about nourishments Through.

In this episode, we'll discuss the importance of spiritual, emotional, and mental consumption. We'll also look at what it looks like to meal prep on an internal level.

Please don’t leave home without your nourishment today! It's better to be prepared and pack than to rely on the world to feed you.

Have To's Vs Get To's

Have To's Vs Get To's

It's time for another episode of “There are two types of people in this world!” Today I want to address the “have to” people and the “get to” people. There are those who will wake up this morning and think about how they have to go to work. Then there are those who will wake up and think I get to go to work.

There are those who say I have so many problems to deal with. Then there are those who say I get to deal with these particular problems, which could always be worse. Some think they have to be at a certain point in their life by a certain season and then there are those who feel they get to be placed into a particular season in order to be at a certain point in life later.

In this episode, we will discuss the difference between the Have To's & the Get To's, and how to identify which one are you? We will also spend some time identifying how your service to the world contributes to what type of person you truly are.

Sure, it's all perception and perspective, but that change in perspective may be what’s holding one back or moving them forward. Perspective is the difference between a rowboat in life versus a motorboat.

Why Does Influence Matter

Why Does Influence Matter

Influence is defined as ‘The capacity to have an effect on the character, development or behavior of someone or something”. We’ve all been influenced by something or some at some time in our lives or we used our power of influence over others. The thing that we must remember about influence is that You can’t be influenced by something or someone you don’t know.

In this episode, we’ll discuss the power of influence, how to harness the power of influence, and culture & community has such a large impact on influence in general.

Be sure to check out the Full Episode available here: www.QualitySIRvice.com/Podcast

We can’t successfully acquire change if the primary influences in our lives encourage stagnation and procrastination. The good thing about our brains is that they are like a sponge, in the regard that some of what you learned can be wrung out, which makes room for new knowledge to come in. What influences do you have in your life currently? Are they having a positive effect on your character, development, or behavior?

Picture this: “Why weren’t you as ambitious as your neighbor? Why didn’t you do a better job of striving to be like the other people I created? They had so much to mimic that I didn’t give to you specifically that I was hoping you took from”.

These are all things that I DONT think that God would say to you in your last days. However, I do think that an important question would be, “Why were you not more like I uniquely created you to be?

In this episode, we’ll discuss one critical way to fail miserably in life! We’ll also discuss why failure is overrated, how to be defeated and still have success & how to avoid toxic people along the way!

Believe the Plan

Believe the Plan

A good friend of mine asked me what my end goal in life was. It didn’t take me long to respond because I  already know what it is. He responded, “that’s one of the things I  always like about you, is that you always have a plan, even if one doesn’t work you have another". I thought about that statement for a  while and it made me think about my past and what I have learned about having a plan.

I learned that there is a big difference between having a plan and believing in your plan, and there was a season in which I didn’t confidently believe.

Tune in as we discuss the power of faith, planning the process of it all

Post That Make You Say Hmm?

Post That Make You Say Hmm?

I scrolled passed yet another post on social media recently that left me with a desire to troll the one who posted it, but I resisted lol yet I decided to share it with you.

The posted stated; “If it cost you your peace, then it's too expensive”. Peace isn’t free! Is this Fact or Fiction? What have you learned in pursuit of peace?  What have you spent on peace thus far?  What’s the price of your peace?

Peace doesn’t have to be pursued but it must be defended because the most valuable things in life are the most helpless. Tune in for more
